I just bought this in the bazaar and I have to say that it's really nice especially when the cleric puts the reverse damage shield on the mob. Makes me feel less like a paperweight tank and more like a real dmg dealer lol

Good grief, how many times are people going to post this on this site.
Damage Bonus is level and class specific. If you are a wizard inspecting a weapon you are not going to see the damge bonus.

I'd say this is a good 1hs... And it's not bad. But, it's not the easily the best running tradeable 1hs in the game =) Take a look at the

well, damage wise that might be the case. it also beats the Ykesha stats wise (AC, Sta).
But, the 17 more magic resist from the Ykesha would be something to keep in mind too...
given, that you are a lvl 65 char, I would suggest using the Ykesha for caster type mobs and the Horror Shard for melee type mobs.

This is easily in the running for the best tradeable 1hs in the game, period. Do an equip. search on this very web site and tell it to order the results by weapon efficiency. This is number 4 on that list, but its stats are better than a couple of the blades in front of it. So the 4th best ratio tradeable 1hs in the game would never be used by a 65 war in elementals? Someone is smoking crack... Paid 85k for this on the Rathe and it was worth every copper! (BTW, dmg/dly penalty is still broken on reccommended level weapons... my lvl 25 war is swinging a 12/17 in primary and an 11/18 in secondary. =P )
A warrior with this weapon in elemental planes would probably be riposted to death faster than you could heal them, assuming they are main tank. Also, the lack of a proc hurts it in terms of aggro.
Now, if you are NOT the MT, then this would be a very nice weapon to main hand.

You know a 12/17 wep is not bad if you put a 4dmg to wep augmentation or even better u would have 16/17 now i would love that wep if i was 65 but again new gear is comming out again :)

Damage augs are type 4, this thing only has a type 1 slot. Also, those +4 DMG augs are for 2 handers or bows. The best DMG aug you can get for 1 handers is +2.
Damage augs are type 5 and 6, Type 4 augs are proc augs.

you are right...they should start giving awesome weapons to level 5 people. In fact, this weapon should drop off emperor crush. And they should lower his level too.
Absolutely , picked this up in the bazaar at a hefty price but does this baby hit, woah, it's fast and gets the job done with some nice bonus stats, worth ever plat.

I agree, not many level 65's are ever gonna be using this...to an extent, and bear with me...I and my system are relegated to knowing that I won't be able to join any uber raid. So I like hanging with my friends. I know I will not ever get this item, but it is also NOT no drop, so it can realistically be 'twinked'. With a recommended level of 65 really lessens the quality of a twink'd toon using it. So please, think about a friend of yours who might enjoy showing it around.
Editing: I am sure there are easier weapons to twink with, just don't flame this weapon.

Little known fact is recommended damage has been broken a long time. lvl 1 will get the FULL damage delay of the weapon, it's ONLY the stats that will suffer because of his level. If you don't believe me, try it out with ANY recommended weapon on a lvl 1, I did.
Note though that there is a CAP on max damage on twinks. My lvl 1 was hitting for no more than 20 damage with a recommended 53 weapon that did 24 damage (he was list as only 1 damage at lvl 1). The cap may raise as your twink levels, but lvl 20 all the damage caps are removed.

Well, it most likely will not be used by any 65s in elemental guilds, but there are certainly 65s with worse. For example, I know a 65 ranger who still uses a tae ew longsword. Of course he has a featherwood bow, EQ and quite a few archery AAs so he doesn't melee often. Still 80 hp and the other stats would make this a nice primary slot for him, and ratio is pretty decent for those occasions where line-of-sight forces him to melee instead of using his bow.
Also 17 delay is pretty darn nice. The lower the delay, the bigger effect damage bonus has, so this really is a decent weapon, particularly for those in less-than-uber guilds.

I think this is the first expansion they released with pretty much watered down rewards... they've always had to "fix" the drop rates or drops of mobs with every expansion... from Ton Po's in Kunark (which is now not that overpowering anymore)... to Centi and Grodan's in Luclin, even Windblades and such in the planes...
this definitely needs like a "new" Ykesha proc, like Effect: Spirit of Ykesha... a 100pt dd stun, or 235 fire based lure... Nice weapon, but couldn't imagine a 65 wanting to don this over the much better options they have out there...

And here I thought they just took the Ton Po staff out of Kunark all together because it was too uber.
They did...and it was too uber, for Trak to drop it. It was kunark area. That was a long time ago so don't go comparing it to a windblade. Realistically, you can buy a Staff of Flowing Water for what a Tstaff used to cost so be happy! The game is so much easier now when it comes to getting gear.
It is fun having lag again in the EC tunnel, didn't think I actually missed the place....
