Rangers Like it 2

Rangers like 2H weapons as my dual wielding, dual proc'ing main weapons are aggro hell in many LDoN's while solo and in guild raids they present no problem and deal out mass damage (Mace of focused flame and swifty with 50 Lifetap from MMC)

I want this weapon simply to do LDoN's and as a sentimental tribute to the number of adventures I have put in there. Maybe the 75 lifetap proc, a damage aug, and maybe a resist or dropped sta/dex aug and one nice piece of equipemnt.

I will prlly have my BP and Helm just about finished when I hit 65 so this will be a nice piece to work towards, if not, then the Veng mask at 940 would be a nice upgrade, who knows, LDoN's are fun, points are cool, nice to work towards something, I am not uber or in an uber guild, just like playing with friends for fun and laughs.

Alot of us warriors are not the most uber of people playing even with the guys buing plat online. But with the wonders of LDON you can purchase this baby along with an anger3 aug with a few other options and turn this into a gettho Blade of War. I for one will get this instead of working months for my epic. I will never see a real BoW or even the SUPER UBER stuff from GoD,but knowing i can make something that will work as an arrgo getting weapon is awesome. Just my 2 coppers on this nice 2hander.

Not a bad wep but my main beef is basically the same w/ all the top lvl ldon gear, the recommended lvl of 65. Not everyone in the game wants to or needs to be 65 or whatever the lvl cap happens to be at the time, why punish those who choose to leave more of the game available to them and work on AA? Myself and my grp of rl friends are staying 59-61 ish to gain all of our AA that we want and not force ourselves into 2-3 areas to gain exp..Recommended lvls ok, but capped at 55- or 60 at most, not 65. Just 2 cents here that i wanted to vent about LDoN.. =)

Aye for 760 points, and another 2k points you can get your self a bad lvl recomended version of a Darwols Cleaver that still will have a beter delay and other then being required lvl 55 has beter stats and ratio. For the time it would take to get this you could quest or camp 5 other verry nice weapons have much less hasle doing so.

=and yeah whats with the recomended lvls why did they com out with ldon if not for weapons and armor that would be good 20 seasons down the line after you already found a beter equivelent at allot less hassle

That is SO true, I wish someone at SoE got thier brain in place and thought that, the whole point of recommended is SO YOU CANT TWINK! They forgot the reason they even put it in! How dumb will they get?! lol
Anyways.. im just fantizing now but imagine putting the 150pt -30cr proc from EF (760pts) and the freezing nickel fragment from ec (340pts) in it that would be one uber item, spendy tho.

# Oct 12 2003 at 6:29 AM Rating: Decent
umm no offense at all but how many augs can u put in a windblade i thinks its one
One configuration
# Oct 07 2003 at 3:25 PM Rating: Decent
With just augments from Takish (and I don't think there's much arguing which ones you pick if you limit yourself that way):

Timeworn Desert Blade
2HS LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP
Damage: __39__ Delay: 35
__Fire Damage: 1__
AC: __+20__ Dex: +10 Wis: +8 Int: +8 Fire Resist: +6 Disease Resist: +6 Cold Resist: +6 HP: +75 Mana: +30
__Effect: Guard III (combat) -- 5% rune for 150HP__

Not bad....

Has a lot of potential
Yes we would call it very nice

OMG this is killer weapon for a lev 65. As one person stated not all lev 65 toons are in VT or Elemental planes. And for only 760 adventure points this is killer. Type 1,4, and 6 slot to boot.
Ratio osnt bad at all.
Just think what kind of weapons you will unlock when you get more adventure points.
nice

Wow, a very nice weapon with 3 augment slots to boot.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 15 2003 at 11:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wouldn't exactly call this a "very nice" weapon with a recomended level of 65 on it. If you are 65 and still using something like this... you should probably work less on leveling and more on upgrading your gear. You could make it better by augmenting it, but you'll probably need 2 slots just to make it as good as something a level 65 would be using w/o any augments. In other words recomended level is WAY too high. If it was recomended lvl of about 55-60 it would be a pretty good weapon, as it stands its underpowered.

I dont ever plan on going to PoT, I actually think the gear comming out of there is rideculous(sp) 30AC on a friggen ring? give me a break.

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=21825

LDoN is a much needed improvement to EQ, I have long thought that Players should be making the best gear in the game with outstanding or relic gear dropping that has a historical value, or even tells a story unlocking an adventure. The fact that you can get gear the will grow in power with you (THANK YOU RECOMENDED LVL'S) is great, and since you can make items better now with augments is even better. It means that no 2 weapons will be exactely alike now. Now if we could only name out weapons and or augment them with graphics, and change their look. Its something I hope EQ2 addresses.

Besides, my Paladin NEEDS a castel ;)

The stats on PoTime stuff are not unreasonable. The problem is that the folks who think it is, for the most part, have no idea what PoTime or getting to PoTime is like. You simply can't comprehend how fast your average VT-ready toon would be looking at "PLEASE WAIT" on their screen. Getting to Time requires a massive guild that has spent a year or more gearing up for the Planes and a year or more getting through them.

The mobs are scaled-up versions of all of the toughest gods you had to face to get there. Thought RZ was hard in Drunder? He's a wimp! Try him in Time!

So yes, the ring that you link to is nice, but it requires a guild raid of 60+ post-elemental-capable toons to get it! This is not quite your usual farming raid through Growth!

By comparison someone capable of getting that ring should be able to get enough APs to get this sword (hey look, I'm back on-topic!) in a couple of days. Even with 4 people the adventures would pose no real challenge, and they could grind out an adventure in around 1 hour at normal difficulty (counting reset time for getting and entering the next adventure). Please, do not confuse weapons like this (which are very nice for those of us who still need to gear up) and PoTime gear... they're SUPPOSED to be orders of magnitude apart.

Not All lvl 65's are running around in Elemental gear wielding the PoT weapons..
for a weapon that can be "purchased" by playing the game..
this is very nice indeed.

Are you actually level 65 and playing with a worse weapon than this? Do you know anyone who is 65 with a worse weapon than this? If so then you really need to look up what is obtainable in a relatively small group.

Okay here are 2 weapons off the top of my head that have better damage per second than this sword that are one group obtainable: Windblade and Warmarshal's Bladed Staff. These are not uber weapons that are coming out of elemental planes or time these are easily obtainable, dropable weapons that most people have in their mid to late fifties. Even if you can't obtain these weapons by fighting for them, the Warmarshal's staff in particular has been dropping like a rock in price (less than 10k on my server) and will outdamage this sword (or the more expensive windblade) easily.

Basically all this weapon has going for it is the slots. LDoN is a blast and the slot thing is cool, but adding lesser weapons with higher recomended levels and just throwing a few extra slots on them isn't a great idea in my opinion. Now think about this why would a level 65 character spend hard earned points on this, then waste valuable upgrades in the slots to make it marginally better than something they had at 60?

You are obviously in a guild that lets you get these items relatively easily. Or your friends are in a good guild with good gear. There are MANY folks out there that can't put in the 5-6 hour camps and the playing time in LDON allows them to get comparible gear. Yes there are better weapons, but this is not junk.

i was thinking that the type1 slot would be a stam aug, type 4 slot would be a the 150dd aug, and the type 6 slot would be a +3 dmg aug. that would be hella nice. been thinking about this for awhile now , but i still have some tak armor that i need to get and fill the slots. got the bp, sleeves, 1 bracer , and greaves so far. so i still have a long way to go before i think about getting this weapon.
