I must've killed hundreds of these things and still no shard. Did SoE nerf this out of the game or what?
I really wish I could delete this becasue I just looted the shard on the next kill.

Was just in last night....75 Wiz.....decided to go in a bit further into the tunnels with IVU. Put myself in a corner near the end of the long tunnel, targeted one and figured with aggro range I'd get two adds...I did...after those were dead I did get the shard so they are dropping. All in all I do feel lucky took about 25 mins start to finish from zone in.
I will say for anyone who's never fought in the mines before, watch out for adds. These skeletons actually have a normal aggro range (as opposed to the snakes above) and if you're not careful while pulling you can end up with quite a few on you.
I was just duoing a 66 mage and 64 chanter down there and thought it'd be fun to fight my way back to where the shard droppers were. At one point I only saw two mobs, so I pacified one and then pet pulled the other. By the time my pet got back to me I had 7 skeletons. It was frustrating to get that far in and then have to gate (chanter was too low on mana to control that many).

Saw a shard drop off a Poxed Soriz today. First time I've seen that happen.
Also got my shard from a poxed soriz. I used IVU, walked a few rooms in to the mines where ther are 2 skeletons who are a decent distance from all others. I dropped invis there, rooted one and then took them down one by one. After that I used pacification to pacify about 4 other skeletons ahead of me, and single pulled a soriz corpse, repeated the same thing for a poxed soriz. The poxed soriz had my shard. So all in all, this shard is fairly easy to solo if you are the right class (a cleric of course!).

Looted my SSRa shard off a Poxed Soriz not 10 mins ago. Double checked the corpse name, as it surprised me. Definately is not limited to corpses and drudges. I'm reasonably sure it won't drop off slaves and skeletons, but I'm wondering about plagued.
