Not true - if you use a FLASK of water you get the vital essence. If you use a POD of water you get surefall tannin.
Presently when you combine the Surefall Sap and the Water Flask to get Vital Essence, you get Surefall Tannin instead. So unless you can borrow an Antonican Needle from someone that made it before the patch that made Surefall Tannin, this will be hard to make.
