If you came to this page directly and not via the general zone info page then be warned! There are a group of level 75/76 skellies at the east side of the beach (left side as you approach from PoK zone in). I went with my 85 dru but didn't bother having my merc up (why would I - it's a lowbie zone...right?) and got pummelled and nuked by this lot because I wasn't really paying attention thinking my DS would do the job. They added whilst I was taking down a nearby mob so didn't notice they were light blue until too late. They apparently have a large aggro range - read more on the general zone page in the link at the top of the page
Ok I know everyone probably thinks this bow is crap, but think about it. I'm a beast duo'n with ranger friend at 65, we really don't have any other stun except weapon stun. Now I don't want him tanking cause compared to my bst, rangers really suck at it but with epic haste and fleeting quiver that damn cHealing mob is gonna just sit there stunned while me and the pet shread it or we just tank pet and he stuns while I heal. This is an extremely fast bow with 2 sec stun, who cares what the dmg output is as a spell interupt in small melee groups this is excellent. Ya pet has interupt proc, but this proc is unresistable...UNRESISTABLE, at the high end I'm lucky to get 1 in 5 pet procs to stick.
I have solo camped Mokon for 6 levels, and have taken him down 10 times (2 deaths, grrr...). He has yeilded three bows, 8 Symbol's of Loyalty, skins, jewels but no Idol of the Juggler to date.
Here is some advice on getting him to pop more often after clearing the PH's. Always clear the 4 PH's on the beach, then exit the area and clear up farther along the cliff wall. Exiting the area seems to speed up the number of cycles it takes for Mokon to show up. Also, there is a spawn point underwater just off the beach at a sunken ship; be sure to clear that also.
As for the fight, hit him soon as he pops. Seems to be tougher if you let him start casting / buffing after he shows. Make sure you raise your desease resists, he's got a decent DoT. Don't solo him below lvl 40, unless you're a cleric / pally / SK with Undead spells, or you like a real challenge ;)
I spent 5lvs there with my druid, I received 4 bows,3symbols,and 3 idol if the juggler...It took me 2 days camping the beach to get them.... the idols stats r >>+10 Dex/+10 Sta/+25 mana<< With no bags at all!!! Being a druid i always run light anyway unless im farmin a zone=) and i soloed him with my 40 druid at the time till lv 45=) Good luck
"Soulexistence" <50lvDruid> Mith Marr (Watchmen Of Mithaniel Marr)
Not to mention.... a 35 Ranger whose archery is only 89??? Shocking, sir, just shocking.
Does anyone really know when this bow procs?
One person says it goes off all the time at 25, one person says at 26 their will is not yet sufficient?
I've always found these sort of discrepancies in posts odd. I think a lot people talk out their... um, I mean, make a lot of typos. ;)
In any case, my human ranger is level 23 with an archery skill of 120, str of 111, and 129 dex. Due to the recommended level, the bow is 13/28 at my level, but I took it out for a test drive last night.
I killed two dark blues - a gorge hound in EK, and a scythe beetle in NK. With 2 damage arrows I consistently hit anywhere between 15 and 20, occasionally in the high 20's. I got two crits each kite, all for 37. It attempted to proc a lot as well. I can't wait for that.
In short, I will grow into and love this bow. The delay may really pay off once I do the jeweled quiver quest, and eventually make a fleeting quiver. Even if I get a better bow for kiting, the fast delay and stun may be useful against casters in many situations....
I'm rambling. What was the question? Oh yes, does anyone REALLY know when this procs? :)

The damage (as well as the damage modifier) go up with the amount of damage the arrow does. Level also attributes to some of this as well. There are many factors, which I'm too lazy to go into, figure it out yourself. =P
Can't remember what level exactly but it was in the 25th level range, proced quite often with 180 dex. its a couple second stun, its on my warr and he's only level 32 with a archery of 30 or so and it hits for about 40, had one crit for 72. good for pulling and if it procs more time to run back =) dropped by Mokon Brokenskull in gulf of gunthak. go in the bestiary to see my posts about his pop time, drop rate etc.
This mob is not just uncommon, it is rare. Spawns about once every 10 ph's and rarely drops bow. Camped him all day- killed him probably 6 times and on the 7th or so- he dropped it. n183, n 1034. I saw some guy in bazaar who wants 20k for it lol.
in some ways i think he is right. i have went 8 ph kills almost every time and not seen him. i've killed him 10 times so far and not seen the bow. 3 times i have gotten the idol
With this bow, SCHW, and Tailored quiver, i shoot close to 1 arrow per second. It procs nicely too, great for bow kiting =)
it won't be Level recommended in next patches, simply because the mob that drops it is lvl 39max, and can easily be taken out with a group of lvl 30s...Level restricted items are usually dropped but lvl 50+ or require a high skill to make.
I picked this up off of a named troll on the Beach area of Gunthak...
He was all the way over on the left side of the beach as you face it, just standing there. But I don't know if he spawns there or if it was a random spawn.
