A burynai hide has the same stats (minus the magic flag) and is a hell of a lot easier to get.

I wouldn't say that a burynai hide is a hell of a lot easier to get. Depending on your level, the mask is much easier to get.

Burynai hide armor is a rare drop. There are a lot of pieces. So you go through and spend hours killing skeletons just to get *a* Burynai armor drop that *might* be the mask.

The Mask of the Eight Eyes, on the other hand, is a common drop off of a common spawn right in the front of Kaesora. If you can kill the spider, it's a hell of a lot easier to get than Burynai hide...

Well, when I meant easier I meant in level of mobs to kill to get, not the actual time it took to get it.
