A Protector of Valor, a very rare spawn mob in HoH that spawns in only one location, on the pathway to the NE crypt. It looks like a miniature wrulon. Kill all the wrulons on the path on the way for long enough, and you will eventually get it to spawn. It mitigates slow, is unsnarable/unrootable and drops spectral parchements and this item, or sometimes nothing at all =(

Wrong. I've seen it in TWO different places. I play on Test Server, which drops almost every weekday, sometimes multiple times -- the point being, I see more pops of this zone than most people ever do. I always go in there and check spawns and I've seen him at two different locations. The other one was at one of the three spawns guarding a basement entrance.

Glad to see a Povar guild getting stuff in here. Go BoL. I disagree on this cloak though. Lodi shield on back would be much better. Same wis, less strength, but more ac, plus the resists. Wonder if I'll see em in bazaar before too long. Still a very nice cloak though.
Can't say that I agree. Lodi is certainly better resist gear, but that doesn't necessarily make it better for daily wear. The Lodi shield is lacking two very important stats - hp and mana, which this cloak has in abundance. As a shaman player myself, I prefer the Heirophant's Cloak to either of these, but a druid or mana-dependant cleric might consider this preferable to the Heiro as well.
Wow, very decent cloak. Great for those battle clerics out there. :)
