#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 11 2002 at 9:52 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) a kick damage modifier. I imagine getting kicked with spiked toe boots would hurt a lot more than getting kicked with cloth sandals.

Yeah, I had been thinking how a damage number on boots would be nice for years. You could give monks something to enhance their kicks, and kicking classes a small boost, and perhaps even add procs (nothing big). Like say warrior boots with furious kick focus effect, like furious bash. For large warriors you could have gauntlets with a damage modifier and furious slam.

Would be some cool stuff. With the new modifier stats it would be simple to just do kick and slam modifiers instead of implementing damage modifiers on boots, etc.

Actually, you don't slam with your gauntlets but with your shoulders, learnt that the hard way when trying to kill a willowisp with a naked ogre war.

For what its worth, I found out a long time ago that its your wrist slot you actually slam with in EQ. Get a barbarian, and try to slam a wisp. Then put a magic bracer in your wrist slot and you'll be able to bash/slam the wisp.

Regardless of what you bash/slam with in the real world, thats what I found out PERSONALLY in EQ.
