agree with other posters about rotting. Only reason I looted it was cause I was the last ranger in the kill area and I hate to see any loot go to waste. It went straight to one of my 2 CR boxes in my bank. just doesn't hold water against an elemental bow - oh - thats right it is below that in tiers - so it makes since it would be lessor.
Mysticism is indeed a real word: mys·ti·cism ( P ) Pronunciation Key (mst-szm) n.
1.Immediate consciousness of the transcendent or ultimate reality or God. 2.The experience of such communion as described by mystics. 3.A belief in the existence of realities beyond perceptual or intellectual apprehension that are central to being and directly accessible by subjective experience. 4.Vague, groundless speculation.
/shrug my guild killed RD last night for probably the 10th time, and he decided to be mean and drop two of these bows for us. We just /ooc'd that they were rotting and made a level 50 something ranger quite happy, still one rotted away.
heh, he doesnt lie. My guild failed this duder the other day. 48 members dead. Got RD down to 40%. were guessing it was a fluke, next time shes going down.
oh, and this is a guild that killed Tallon Zek with 38 peeps, killed that same day AoW/Statue, Itraer Vius, Shei Vinitras, Cursed/Exiled/Glyphed.
PoP has bvrought a wealth of new high end bows, trying to pick which one is the best bow is real tough. To get anyone of them will do most any ranger. This one , Warmasters recurved bow, and a couple others are out there. Though not all are Ranger only =/
not very hard to choose at all. currently the best bow out there is the stonewood compound bow, check it out. although i hear the alabaster bow off of avatar of mist gives it a run for its money (lack seeing the stats on it). hope this helps 8)
That would make sense, because the arrows you should be using are 11 base dmg and 4 elemental dmg. That addition will remain constant regardless of the delay of the bow, which means that a low delay bow will get a much bigger boost to its ratio with EQ and nice arrows.
Featherwood you mean? I have no clue on the parses but if youre AM3 and EQ (which you should be with these bows) the parses between Featherwood and Stonewood should be a lot different. I personally dont know yet, but i will soon. Anyone actually know from personally experience?
According to several different people's parses, Out of the four elemental bows, the stonewood only comes out on top during the Trueshot disc, for Rangers.
Everyone I have talked to says that the Featherwood does indeed outparse all of the other planar playercrafted bows under normal circumstances. Trueshot may change things, but because of the speed of the Featherwood for more crits, and the proc, Featherwood does most DPS.

Oh, teh irony, recommended level, means you can use it at level one, it'll just be a 1/38 bow. It's not a required level, so you can use it, just with reduced stats. Good try though.
oh the irony, seeing as how even though its just a recommended level, a level 1 still couldnt use the bow, seeing as how it comes from a place where you've got to be 46+ to get it.
Seeing as this is nodrop I can guarentee noone will equip it below level 46, regardless of how "uber" their guild or friends are. Being in the Halls of Honor, I'd be very surprised to see anyone below level 60 equip it - you still have to get into the Halls of Honor to even get a shot at it.
However, instead of saying who will get this and who wont - anyone of any level can see that this is a very good bow. My congradulations to anyone in advance shooting one of these.
Because that is the argument with all bows, rangers all think Plannar bows shold be Ranger only, and anytime a Ranger specific bow drops all the warriors/rogues/pally's etc.. say it would better suit them. Its the endless bow argument that has been around since Lucilin was released, and rangers got thier Bow Discs and AA's. better to just steer clear of it

Recommended levels don't necessarily mean you can use it below that level. Some items, like the Poison Silk Necklace, say recommended, but the level is required. On the other hand, most of the PoP items that have had a required level, unequippable prior to it, have said so. Some items even have both recommended and required levels on them (for example, recommended 51, required 46). As for your other comment concerning usage at level 1, I'd wonder how a level 1 could even obtain it, as HoH has a required level itself. Good try though ;)
Thats just verant that's lazy. All items should have req and rec lvl if its required. Take rewamp CT items. They first had rec lvl only. And all could use it. Then they changed it to req lvl but still only said rec. After a while most of those items got its real stamp.
Not necessarily. Some items have recommended levels that are actually required levels, like the Club of the Ice Ocean. Can't equip until 51, even though it says recommended, not required.
