Planes of PowerThis is a nice weapon, the delay is just right for timing spell casts, getting a fair mumber of procs, maximizing two hander dps, and minimizing riposte/damage shield/overagro damage. The only problem I have with it is that the proc seems to be fairly easy to resist. It gets resisted a lot more than the Rujarkian Bile proc.

This staff is a great weapon plain and simple, appearing to be one of the better pre-elemental 2-handers for offtanks.
The staff procs consistently and the proc does not grab aggro away from the main tank. Yet the proc is still enough that when combined with stuns, taunts and 2-hand bashes, aggro is easily maintained when offtanking. Have not had a mob aggro a caster or healer while using it in an offtank situation. I offtank on a regular basis in Vex Thal where we have the offtanked mobs parked right in the middle of the caster area.
With all 2-hand advanced abilities, the weapon also does decent DPS. The delay is just slow enough that I can cast heals mid-battle and will hit the mob again the very second I finish casting a quick-cast heal or stun.
Just like Discobeach said, people will think you are carrying a WMBS until they start to see 500+ point crits

Graphic is the same as the Warmarshall's Bladed Staff but has the piercing animation.

I can confirm the ratio is indeed 46/35 now, as of at least 08/01/2003.

Hmmm if you have a long stick and use it for peircing would that not be a spear instead of a staff?

Not necessarily. A spear has a pointed end, a staff does not. Either one hurts when thrust into your gut - the staff will knock the wind out of you and knock you down, the spear will just go through you. =)

This weapon from the picture is a Naginata. A Japanese weapon from the feudal times. It is composed of a long staff with a sickle type blade at the end roughly the size of a scimitar. Thus it isn't 2hblunt. Technically though the Naginata is a 2hslash although there were some made for piercing.
