A huge, black cube floats silently in the ether that lies between the planes. This is the Plane of Torment and is a manifested reflection of the cruelty, pain and suffering of the mind, body and spirit that the goddess Saryrn embodies. The very plane itself is formed of and bound together by the misery of its inhabitants, and it forever thirsts to add to this suffering so that it may continue to grow in power.

Above a large lake of blood are suspended many interconnected islands, hoisted and held aloft by barbed chains fastened to obsidian pillars. Suspension bridges connect the islands. A fine mist of blood stains the air and coats all in a crimson sheen.

The Citadel of Pain looms as the largest structure in the plane amid a network of ramps, bridges and islands. Gushing streams of blood pour from the sides of the citadel. Saryrn, the Mistress of Torment and Pain resides here, enjoying from her windowed private chamber a panoramic view of the pain and suffering that is her ethos.

Level 55 is required to enter the zone without a key on the live servers.

Found out where the cube was for PoT, clicked on the water pool at level 64 and went straight there. Didn't have to kill TT or anything.

Ok, Where do you access plane of Torment? It is not in plane of tranquility? How do I get there?

Greetings and salutations :) For those who still haven't found the entrance to Torment, there is a zone in...it is a fountain in PoT in the center of the 4 buildings....one of which houses the PoK book. Thanks :)

Earlier this year, SOE allowed you to access certain planes based on your level even if you didn't have the flag.

Level 55 and over
Plane of Storms
Plane of Torment
Plane of Valor
Crypt of Decay

Level 62 and over
Bastion of Thunder
Halls of Honor

Heya all,

wanted to know if any mobs in here DONT summon ? I mean, can a druid would be able to kit in here ? :)

and just to be sure... Blood ravens are classified as "Monsters" unlike in PoN where they are Animals... Any druid tried to charm one to confirm this monster status ?

You need to kill Terris Thule to get flagged for this zone. You need to have done the hedge maze script in PoN to be flagged to kill TT. Most players will never see this zone unless they are in a fairly high-end raiding guild.

Well, Like all things in life you can never say never. Thank EQ for allowing this zone to be visited by anyone 55+ and POP enabled!

One thing about this zone is it is all on walk ways in the air. Almost like a dungeon crawl that keeps repopping, not much in way of being able to run to the zone safely on bad pulls. Slower is a must, I suppose as all PoP zones. An fd puller or rooter is need as mobs are 2-3 in a spot. Pacify didn't seem to work on the wolf beasts - didn't try the trap tripped spiders or ravens. Mobs hit from 150-400 a whack. The wolfmen don't appear to be casters they seem just mellee. The ravens have an ae stun they like to sing that does around 200dmg to all. The spiders didn't seem menacing other than the fact that they were resets of trap spawns.

Tried to do some fishing at zone in and the water was too shallow as far as I could walk at the zone in - not sure if there actually is fishing here or not.

The wolf mobs are able to be pacified with wake of tranquility. No other pacify spell I have at 59 works on them.

This zone is one in which a slower makes all the difference in the world. Unslowed, even the birds take almost a full mana bar of healing, with a 59 warrior tank. Slowed, we pulled and killed birds and the dog creatures all night long, usually with only 2-3 CH per mob.

I could pacify anything I came across with the spell Pacification

Ummm no you don't :). There is a single groupable quest that will allow you entrance to this zone. None of the parts are THAT hard to get. Verant thought about the smaller guilds, there are ways into these planes without being a number in a Zerg guild.

PoP is Uber guild paradise. The Crypt of Terris Thule is a "second tier" plane, so Torment must be either second or third tier. Then there's the planes of Fire, Air, Earth, and Water, which are fourth tier, and finally the Plane of Time.

If only uber guilds can make it to Torment, then only Uber guilds can do MOST of PoP. I guess it's motivation to all join into one big uber uber uber guild or something.

Edit: Torment is second tier.

**Shamelessly stolen from Arghificious in the Safehouse**

This quest starts out with Iramai Sacredsoul in Plane of Tranquility at n250 n1350 in a building next to an NPC named Phanti laying on the ground. Hail Iramai and she mentions something about Phanti. Ask her about Phanti and she'll say they have their suspicions. Ask what suspicions and she asks you to bring a bile from one of the rodents in Plane of Disease.

The bile you need drops off of a named rodent in the caves in Plane of Disease, his name is Rythak. He does not drop it every time. He is located in the spider/rat cave. Enter the cave, at the first big room hook a left, and he's the first rat spawn on the left as you exit the small tunnel. Loot the bile, and turn it into Iramai Sacredsoul in PoT.

The Indigo Orc she speaks of in the preceeding text resides in the Plane of Justice. To get to him, go like you're going to Mavuin, or the deathrow area, and instead of going right at the T junction at the bottom of the stairs, go left, thru the door and right. Brugga is his name, and he is in the third room (I think?) on the way down, the door is on the right.

For the next part you have to be non kos and have 100 in Orc Language. I taught myself Orc, actually not too hard, just takes a bit of time. Spend one practice point at your class trainer into the Orc language, and then just change to it with someone else in the group, doesn't matter if they're in the same zone or not, and spam it until you get a skillup. Zone, spam it again, etc. You can only get one skillup per time zoned if you teach yourself. Took me about an hour to get it up to 100.

I don't know what faction you have to have with Brugga in PoJ in order to have him respond to you. I am an enchanter and charmed him, and that worked, so you may want to bring an enchanter along to charm, as that will take your faction up to indifferent.

Hand Brugga the purified bile.

The 'gnomemade crawlerpoison' is mechanical clockwork venom from the mechanical spiders in the Plane of Innovation. The stinger from a Nettling Wraith is a fairly common drop in the Plane of Nightmare off of Nettling Wraiths. The venom sack drops off of the Terror Matriarch at the spider camp (spawns in between the two consorts) in the Plane of Nightmare. She is a 3 day spawn, hits in the mid 600's, unslowable, spawns a baby spider bout every 30 seconds, or at 66% and 33% life. Turn all three of those in to Brugga and you get the vial of opaque fluid.

Turn the fluid and the bile into Iramai and she will give you the Symbol of Torment, which allows you access into the Plane of Torment. I don't have the exact quest text she gives you on the final turn in, because EQ crashed (go figure).
