In order to make the hardened Tae Ew hide, you need to combine a Flawless Tae Ew hide and some Tae Ew blood, which is a trivial>250 combine as well...

So I wouldn't expect to see too many of these flooding the market anytime soon, if the drops are as rare as they supposedly are... hopefully my fellow tailors will realize their actual value vs. difficulty of making them and just sell them for 500-800p, which seems their approximate worth to people who couldn't afford/loot the better arms, that is..a 54 druid that can get Elysian armor would only see these as good for their resists (which aren't great), otherwise their not better than what I could get with a little patience.

DISCLAIMER: I've never been to the new CT (planning on it soon, maybe when I ding 55)...and I've never tried a combine. Going on this site's info alone. mixed with my experience getting to 130 in tailoring.,

Chances are any tailor that could make these would not choose to make this particular piece, which would never sell for anything near the opportunity cost of making them. (Kinda like some of the ice silk items. I was an idiot once and made some of the boots. *That* was silly. It could have been two caps or 2/3 of a robe, two very nice pieces, but instead it became something to sit in my bank for months.)

I would personaly buy nathsar over these...I agree with this being an easier way to skill up except for the rareness of the CT drops that are needed.

good for raising skill

I already see one excellent use for these sleeves. Maxing out tailoring skill. The only other way to get tailoring up is to spend loads of cash making Velious furs, Acrylia leather, or cultural armors. All these require VERY expensive components. Velium Tempers, Blue diamonds, ect. This requires only a pattern and dropped items. I expect to see these popping up in a larger abundance than you might think on that fact alone. Again, just because it isn't perfect doesn't mean it is worthless. I'd rather get my hands on a air of these than the Ulthork sleeves I have now, resists, no stat negatives, and extra hp.

*cough* *cough* *cough*

With the actual insane poor drop rate of all the CT Tradeskills components, I won't say it's a valuable alternate way to may any skill at all.

Even Velious tailoring is better than CT tailoring.

These are really dissapointing stats for an incredibly difficult item to craft and to gather ingredients for.

No druid that could afford these (they're gonna be several thousands of pp) would actually buy them given the alternatives except perhaps to use as raid gear for the HP+resists.

If you want to know how few can make these recall that its taken >3 months since this recipe went in for someone to actually make them.
What is Verent thinking

I am sorry but i have to reply to this...This is my RL friends account but i play a monk on VZ and i am sorry but no monk would want this. Not even a druid would want it because there is items out there that is better the only class that may want this item would be Beastlord. Other then that this item is not useful. Verent if you see this think about the monk we do not use wisdom STR STA DEX AGI hook is up.

To be honest, I aggree that any monk I know would not want these, but being a 45 druid not having very good arms yet(whithered leather) these arent that bad. True the price is going to be outrageous since its a high trivial, but these are actually very decent. As the old saying goes, just because you cant use an item, doesn't mean it's worthless.

depends on what the price is, i would wear these over aszure sleeves, but not over grey flesh, but since it takes 250 skill to make, i think that it will be pretty pricey, anyone know?
what these are for

This armor has no level restriction. If you are killing these mobs and want to work on you tailoring skill you can sell the products to any newbie.

Why would anyone complain about this? Considering how many thousands of mobs you need to kill to raise a level post 50 you can't expect a weapon or armor off of every mob you kill!
