You do know that u can get Diamond Dust in arcstone? Well you can they fall off of the mistwalkers and i think the fellen dead too.
no. Completely different items that share the same icon are still completely different.
The trick is the Diamond Dust.
... course you all knew that ... We killed some 4 times in the Fire Giant area wiping all of them out before we managed to get the Diamond Dust to drop. It Dropped offa a Fire Giant Warrior... nobody special. I made the combine on my little lvl 15 Gnome thief. Although I cannot remember how long it is between spawns for the Fire giants (I think that it is 8 hours). We were a 66 DE SK and a 66 DE Cleric. OVERKILL - had to kill 4 at once one time - nice to be over 65 :D. .. Also soloed it with a 63 mage ... 63 Mage pet and Virt on pet with pet toys and buffs at 63... kinda slow that way, doable tho..

The main use for this now is going to be the "Cutting" of augments to string them together with an effect. EQ Traders has all the information on how to accomplish this. Look for these to skyrocket in price now.

Trivial is 36, looked it up on my skill window after it said I couldn't raise my skill from it at skill level 97. Was very nervous when I hit combine but I guess I had little to worry about.
I was wondering how much this thing costs? On Vazaelle, the diamond dust used to make it was selling for 1500pp. Is that reasonable? I think ill go hunt some Ice Giants in Permafrost. At 51 i shouldnt have trouble soloing these mobs.

yes, but there's a minimum of 5% chance of failure on EVERY combine... so if you are making a stack of metal bits, you can expect to fail atleast 1 combine...

Hehe it has a use, but only in one tinkering recipie ... *sigh* figures they'd make tinkering such a complicated tradeskill

heh looks like you got ure use. or should i say uses. I love it when sony takes their time and go of their way to link old world to newer expansion. Really gives that kick back into the game.
