We don't know what the trivial is. If you know, please report it.
smithing skill?!?!

final combine is NOT trivial at lvl 0 like it says there.. a guildy tried it and failed misserably.. i did it myself with a 180 skill wich was recommended.. so don''t trust the no fail on here you need 180 skill for the final combine!!!!
Seru Bane Weapons

Seru gives the 'Invulnerable' message unless your weapon has even 1 point of Bane: Seru on it. Think of Seru Bane damage like the MAGIC tag on wisps and such and you get the idea.

If full 54/40 is hitting Seru, you should be getting hits over 300.

Windblade is 50dmg, and hits for 335 max, so I would expect Seru bane weapon of 54 to be in same damage range.

I have been to two Seru takedowns, and am still working on getting my bane weapon. I will post what damage he takes, after I complete it, and we kill him again. Then, those people who are "assuring" that he takes full dmg, or he only take bane only dmg, without having "been there /done that" can have rumors be put to rest.

I know for sure>
Necro pet does no damage to Seru.
Normal weapons do no damage.
Pally clicky nukes DO land (have blazing helm and legs of Fennin Ro).
Seru weapons hit him.

Will confirm if war hammer acts as a 18/40 or a 54/40, after I make it and bonk him with it a few times.

Quick Question

why can rogues use this weapon if rogues CANT use 2HB weapons?
RE: Quick Question
# Mar 28 2004 at 3:05 AM Rating: Decent
How many weapons/item are there in EQ? OF course they will mislable some of the weapons, though means you dont have a 2hb weapon skill it aint matter.

Perhaps so they don't get shafted on the Overthere gate hammer. (worker sledgemallet)

The General in Kith drops a rogue usable 2hs. I saw a dark elf rogue ( a real one, not illusion) use it and thought he was an SK at first. Hehe
RE: Quick Question
# Oct 10 2002 at 4:04 PM Rating: Default
Rogues can skill all the way to 250 on 2HB and although most will not, if you find a rogue that tanks enough, a 2hb is actually the better choice since they won't be BSing anyway. Reposte damage off the normal rogue weapons can really add up fast. Too bad not many rogue usable 2handers that can do good damage for those rogues that tank

>>>>Rogues can skill all the way to 250 on 2HB

No, they cannot.
The 2hb skill cannot be raised by Rogues.
RE: Quick Question
# Oct 20 2002 at 9:30 PM Rating: Default
Err, except that we (rogues) don't get the 2hb skill, and therefore cannot practice or train it. There are several two hand weapons we can use, but our skill remains at zero forever.

Because VI doesn't always get stuff 'right' first time.. I know thats something most people wont believe but I tell you its true!
Weapon

...

Seru was fixed a while back... you get the full damage from these sorts of weapons..

i.e. 36 + 18 = 54/40 weapon.

I was fighting him yesterday with an (effective) 18/20 and 19/21 and was hitting over 100. I wouldn't have been doing that with a 6 damage weapon.
Hrm.
# Aug 02 2002 at 8:49 PM Rating: Decent
Better than 0/40, I guess. :)
Heeh.

Seru sitting on their ***** to let this weapon get loose. Agree with Jynori, will leave a big mark.

54/40....ow. That's gonna leave a mark :)
RE: ouch
# Aug 02 2002 at 8:42 AM Rating: Decent
Actually, I believe these bane weapons are geared towards those who wish to take a shot at Seru himself. To him only the damage bonus counts. (ie these would be 18/40 against him.)
RE: ouch
# Aug 02 2002 at 9:20 AM Rating: Decent
No No the damage/delay is for all mobs the bane damage modifier is added to the damage of the weapon against creatures of the type of bane it is. So weapon will be 54/40 when Fighting Seru. This is a great weapon no matter who you fighting against but especially Seru.

Except that Seru is immune to normal weapon damage. That's why these weapons are required for melees to attack him. Everything I've seen indicates that only the bane damage hits him.

Shadowhawkabj; Actually that is incorrect. Some person "thought" that a while ago but I have personal seen a Lord seru fight over my friend Jaxsis's shoulder from Aananon Ro (sp? sorry, not my server) and I have seen the damage points well into the 100's from nearly everyone. The Seru Bane damage on this weapon makes this a 54/40 against him. The normal base damage IS taken into account since "the entire weapon" is now Bane Seru. Normal weapons can't land on him but somewhere along the line, some person who had never seen/been to a Lord Seru fight started to spread the rumor that ONLY the Seru Bane damage is able to hit him since normal weapons can't land. That is incorrect and I'm here to clear up that rumor.
Seru Bane damage weapons land for Full Base amount + Full Seru Bane amount. Period.

um, at the lvls to attain these weapons peeps have some nice damaged bonusses, do these bonussus apply to the bane as well, since that is the only damage that would be done to seru would it the bunus be added to the bane.

sometimes what you say makes more sense than what you think, this isn't one of those times for me.
and that phrase made no sense iether.

And honestly... 18-40 against a guy like Seru is gonna get you laughed at =/, But still a great hammer none-the-less
RE: ouch
# Aug 04 2002 at 6:37 PM Rating: Default
Well considering that this is the ONLY type of weapon that will hurt him its not bad. And yes only Seru bane weapons will hurt Seru. So in this case I'm not sure but I think this weapon will have full effect against him. But we really need a Uber guild member to tell us for sure.
RE: ouch
# Nov 22 2003 at 6:43 AM Rating: Decent
The BANE damage gets added to the base damage of the weapon. In other words, the weapon will turn into a 54dmg/40dly War Hammer against any Seru mobs, vs. a 36dmg/40dly against any other mobs.
RE: ouch
# Jun 21 2004 at 9:49 PM Rating: Default
I can confirm with complete confidence that the two bane-only mobs in the game (Seru and Emp) take full damage from bane weapons.
