Sadly, they have nerfed Khalshazar with the release of Omens of War. Backstab mod is now 12% which makes a rather large difference now.
not exactly nerfed. There were daggers out that had 12% mod, and 15% mod, and yet both were the same because the hard cap on backstab skill was 252. Since the raise of lvl cap to lvl 70, all daggers with a "15% mod" have since been changed to 12% to reflect that.

Well. My guild is 0-12 now on Khalshazars. We've seen every other piece of loot he has except the Wistful Tunic. I've yet to miss a Cursed raid. /sigh

supposed to be really rare; been told that you can be on upwards of 20 cursed kills and not see. It looked to be turning out that way with my guild being 0/6. Then 11-5-03 he dropped Khalshazar; That night, server reset, and we spawned Cursed again on 11-6-03, killed him and Khalshazar dropped AGAIN. I'd call that some pretty good luck.

Picked up dis fine piercer last night and offhanded my Bloodbath. Proc on it is so handy. Barely have to evade anymore even if a war is tankin. and you rogues know how much we love warriors tankin. Anyways, gorgeous piercer.. hope u get one some day.

The Attack isnt very good, and if you want to see good attack check out the uberest guild on my server (possibly most servers)- Afterlife. Yes, some of the rogues there have "a rogue's dream". The point, thats very nice gear but u can do better hehe...
ironic most of the rogues of the top guilds wield this in their mainhand. If you had a clue what you're talking about, you'd see that this (before PoP release) is the best weapon available *because* of the 15% backstab mod on top of the excellent damage delay ratio. Before PoP, most rogues would wield khalshazar and bloodbath in offhand.

Rogue are the melee Gods.the only char that was able to out dmg me. is the #1 wizzy on our sever. By the way im the #1 rogue and still she has a hard time out dmging me , rangers and monks have nothing on me .. my ac is at 1456 hp 5340 atk 1400 unbuff str 203 sta 255 agi 176 dex 200 oh ya i got the priml too that a plus str 100 agi 100 dex 100 and akt 100 i have all my aa point max out and i got this weapon. so who want to add up my stats. there are warrior that wish they had the hp i do rogue are gods ...

According to threads I've read on the Safehouse website, which is probably the most respected rogue info site out there, they list the max possible backstab with crit+disc with a 16 dmg piercer with the % backstab modifier to be around 2000 to maybe 2200 damage. It's impossible to score even 2500 on a backstab, much less up near 3k. The games mathematical variables are just not high enough to allow for a backstab even 1000 less than what this obvious liar is claiming to have scored.

i have gotten 2096 crit backstabs with disc several times. i do not know what top is for 16 damage weapon, but for 15 damage it is 2096 aa's all going to damage. i use massive heartwood thorn with 10 percent bs mod.

its quite easy to crit bs for over 3k with a 16 dmg wep, ppl have gotten 2985 or around there crit with 15 dmg wep with 255 str and stuff, so i would think that a 3k bs with RB is sorta hard to do. Btw all of these are done with the disc.

I wouldn't believe your post if you had screenshots to support it, no one of the stature of a #1 rogue on a server would speak like that, when you get that high and sell your soul for a few pieces of loot, you lose anything that makes you feel superior to others, because secretly you wish you weren't spending 8 hellishly boring hours in NToV just so you wouldn't be put on loot probation for a month. actually there has been a 16dam piercer that drops in SS but the delay on it blows. This is probably thee best rogue weapon out now.

I would think that the +15% to backstab skill alone would increase backstab damage quite substantially... and with a proc that lowers you on the hate list... as if the cake wasn't tasty enough, they iced it with fast delay, lots of stats, and some ac... yep, just one word:

Not being a rogue, I can only assume that the 15% wouldn't mean much as most skills can be maxed before 51 (maybe I'm wrong and rogues max out their backstab to 250 after level 51? so, another 5% to get to the hard cap?). The big deal seems to be a peircer with damage 16. So many of the best rogue peiercers have 15 that I was starting to belive that there would never be a 16. Well, guess I'm wrong twice. :)

I wonder if items like this wil be NO DROP on Firiona Vie. Most items other than Epic items aren't NO DROP like they are on other servers. Too bad none of our guilds are anywhere near raiding this place yet, oh well. /shrug

On Xev the SSra temple gets raided all the time, and I imagine it is the same in other servers, even the Pvp ones.
The reason I say this is just so you don't go thinking that you will never see this zone, because if you gain dem levels and get dem fancy equipments, I'm sure you'll see this place within a few months if you play your cards right. Good luck.

So this badass in mainhand, and your 15/18(with haste, I think that's what it is) epic in offhand....you rule.

incorrect, playing a lvl 50 rog compared to playing a lvl 60 or 65 rog is very very different. unless you´re still playing with the same tank who has the same gear. because u see, when you as a rogue lvl up and get better gear and weapons that get you more aggro, so do the warriors :D they get aggro proc weapons, proc buff clicks, taunt works better at higher lvls.
The proc on this thing is a hate reducer so, WOOHOO! kick some serious *** with this thing
I've seen 2 of these drop so far, and no bloodbaths.. but.. i think it's better anyways, 2 faster delay, a far superior proc and more hp anyways, plus it has a little ac where the bloodbath doesn't.

The stats posted for Bloodbath are wrong.
Notably: Bloodbath is 16/21 and the effect is (worn), not a proc. I believe the effect is +25 ATK and +2hp/tick regen. AC doesn't matter as much for a rogue, Khalshazar has 25 more HP though. The two effects are arguable as to which is better. +12% Backstab is the max benefit, +15% isn't any better.

bloodbath does more dmg because of that 25 atk rating bonus. not much but a little bit.

I wish I could rate you worse than awful, maybe like...ebayer or something as degrading. All of your posts that I have seen appear to be very negative towards the people posting them. Do you have some sort of complex in which you need to judge others badly in order to see yourself as a better person? I pity you personally.
that´s because he´s a puts :D and prolly is teh newest guildmember in some guild he had considered uber and feels he knows sh*t now and wants to School ppl and be leet like the ppl he so looked up to couple months ago. and so badly desires to be looked up to, wrongly thinking this is the way to go about this :D
