I payed 2500p for one last night on the innoruuk server. I know Innoruuk is an older server with lots of gear floating around but IMO anything over 3k for this is over priced. Nice looking BP, on most races if not all, (not sure) it's a brite Blue. Seems to Me it's better than the Barbed Ringmail which I payed 2400p for. Barbed has the added Hp's but the extra 2 ac and other stats more then make up for it. Both good Mid-LVL BP's.
On the 7th u can buy aengraved velium bp for 3999pp =) actually 3.5k-6k it varies greatly...and with the drop of pop everyone is selling theirs... see it going cheap. right now constructing the funds to buy one lol
I was recently able to buy this piece for my rogue for 4.4k. This piece in addition to crystal chitin gauntlets, vambraces, and boots makes a great set for higher midlevel rogues who can not yet get their Velious quest armors. High in AC and loaded with stats. The extra AC comes in handy especially when evades fail and you have to survive long enough for the MA to regain aggro or when waiting for that CHeal that is taking forever to cast.
Going price on Torvonnilous is around 4.5k. Also, there is always 2-3 people selling around prime time. I have only seen the greaves and BP for sale, I guess the other pieces aren't as popular due to the number of available pieces with just as much AC plus more stats.

Posted:Feb 04 2003 at 3:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) obviously you are as sharp as a door nob all your ac wont do ya any good if the ma drops and you are next after the poor cleric that was chealing the ma. you need hp before ac to be honest i was tankin velks and not by choice and if i didnt have 2k hp i woulda been in trouble. if you have a tank that takes along time to regain agro you are screwed either way. i have gained agro off a lvl 60 war and never for more then 2 seconds now with the plains availabe the mobs there cap for 700 on a tank and they do it to everyone. dont get me wrong i would like the velium as well but not for the 32 ac it could have 10 for all i care i dont plan on gettin hurt. my main concern is my haste and dex and str anything more is just a bonus so ill keep my lvl 50 rogues 900 ac and just stay outa trouble cos i rarely need more then a remedy if you keep agro for more then 2 seconds something is wrong with you not your tank and being a mana sponge is a sure way to wipe a group out. so either learn the class the right way or umm pull the pally outa the moth balls cos it seems ya wanna be a tank.
The Legion of Divine Fate on Karana Server is a guild of friendly and helpfull people who are mainly Questers and Tradesfolk. I have the blessing of the guild to offer folks who don't tradeskill the oppurtunity to own this fabulous armour.

Do a /who all " legion of divine fate" and look for sanyareena also don't forget the leading space after the " and before the legion :)
A good deal? I don't think so! I don't play on the Karana server either, but I wouldn't supply ALL the components PLUS 100 silk swatches (value of about 1k @ 10pp per swatch).
And #2, ALL the parts PLUS 2 stacks of Coldain Velium Tempers is also not a great deal either (2 x 525 pp = 1050 pp).
So either of the above options is about 1k PLUS the components for the attempt.
And I DEFINATELY would not go the 400 Cobalt Cod route (20 stacks = 400 Cod x 20pp = 8k worth of cod)!
But hey, if you have that much time to fish, you could probably make the 8k by other means (and probably getting exp too)!
Ok I just got my 8th shawl and now i'm looking to make some money off this armor before I got my 8th shawl I could make this engraved stuff but here last night I tried a BP and it won't let me make the final Combine. I got a imbued field plate and etching tools in JC kit and get the message you cannot combine has anyone else had this problem or is anyone else able to make em with a 8th shawl in there possesion? Or is this some change they made in the last patch:(
I have made and sold about 20 BP 5 legs and assorted other pieces. I have always been annoyed at the tradeskillers who rip off their customers so in fairness here is some info. It may only be relevant to my Server (Tallon Zek)
3 key ingredients to make them:
Velium Hound furs - 1 drop per 3 velium hounds (sowed strong melee level 53 - easy mob using charm/fear for 55 plus druids harder for other classes)They are common after server pop then rare as hell as they get camped out (usually by druids) and stop spawning as the PH arent killed due to CoV faction Hit. Price to buy is generally 500pp-1k. 1 required per piece
Gems from Shimmering Geonids 3 types of gems - 1 drops every time but you have to kill their place holders and you need specific types for each piece. These are no drop and as such are hardest ingredient to have a steady supply of
Velium Blocks (1-3 per piece) Players usually sell for 100-200pp but can get about 6 per hour off miners in CC and also drop in VL. Can combine bricks to make blocks but gets expensive
Required Tradeskills are jewellery, smithing and tailoring - all around 160-180. Can pay someone to do tailoring part.
I usually collect my own ingredients and considering the above I charge the following for each piece:
BP 7400 Legs 6000 (same ingredients as BP tho) Arms 2250 Helm 1900 Boots 2200 Gloves 1900 Bracer (I havent made)
While other tradesmiths charge up to twice these prices I think this is a fair price range. The cheaper items are probably fair at up to 2500 because if you fail on one you are actually going to lose money, however in the long run the making them is going to make a killing. In the last month I have made around 200K and it has only taken an hour or 2 daily.
The tradeskills arent that hard to acquire with the exception of tailoring. The combination of all 3 tradeskills and the regular extinction of velium hounds are the main thing stopping these items being half the above prices. If you're are being charged more than the above you are being overcharged.
Good luck getting your set the AC/stats/resists are almost as great as the look :)
Dunno about rogues but when I wore the BP and legs of this on my ranger, not only did i get constant random inspects but also got asked to be a mana battery (ie mistook for a bard).
Also to give you all an idea of the price/rareity of this, i traded the engraved royal velium legs (19ac, 7str, 30hp, some CR) straight up for a pair of reinforced dragon legs (22ac, 9dex, 5sta). The dragon legs go for around 10.5-11k on brell serilis (my server). The bloke was very eager heh.
The cost to make these can go from expensive to very cheap. Everything is droppable but the Gems.
Most of the items can be looted except for the Coldain Velium Temper. The temper is sold in Thurgadin for about 26P, but can be made with brewing for about 10P or so (depending on whether you buy the research items for the celestial solvent or not).
You can loot Blocks of Velium (you need 15 for a full set) and Large Bricks of Velium (I think you need 3 or 4) from Velketors. Or, you can loot small pieces and small bricks larger quantities (3 small pieces makes a small brick, 3 small bricks makes a large brick, 3 large bricks makes a large block -- but each combine takes the temper, raising your cost) from Ry'Gorr Miners in Crystal Caverns.
So, if you hunt the furs yourself, farm the velium from Velketor's (getting only the ore you need and not do any conversions) and make the Coldain Velium Temper by hand, you can do the entire thing for about 200p (cost for the temper).
The cost of the furs, in the bazaar can go from 500p to 1kp and you need 8 of them, so you could pay from 5K to 10K if you buys all the materials you need in the bazaar.
Of course, this is assuming nothing but successes on the many combines.
This has a dark blue plate look on my Half Elf ranger. Friend of mine makes this and let me try it on. He has already completed his quest set and used extra pieces to make this. You imbue it just like the quest version that is no drop, then place it back in your jewler kit with the etching tools and combine it to get the droppable version. Hope this helps.

I'm checkingout this new Racial armor that verant has releised and, what no DE chain for innoruuk rogues?? i want a player made thurgadin equivilant chain armor, esspesially if it is Rogue innoruuk only )
I can almost guarantee you that there will be some.. it's just that when you consider that there are very few 250+ skill smiths anymore, it'll take a bit for all the new recipes to be figured out. Give it some time and someone will find the recipe. The real BS is no plate for agnostic warriors so far... and i can see where that would've been overlooked.
To make this, you must first make the imbued royal velium version, then place the piece in a jeweler's kit with etching tools (from 8th shawl quest) and it becomes engraved...making it droppable and no longer useable for the 8th Shawl.

I have currently made this armor and can verify this ENGRAVED armor is NOT part of shawl quest.
Since this armor requires the armor from the shawl quest, don't expect seeing much of this surface. The hounds in West Waste are near extinct on my server, with the furs going for 1K a pieces.
Right, on my server Velium Hound Fur is so rare it gets auctioned for 2kpp and more already. I bet everyone wearing velium hound fur armor bites into their feet. But prices will drop as soon as the first wave of shawl8 questers is finished.
