i just tried to sell these items to help with my own characters equipment, i normally give them to newbie clerics and rangers.
you can actually find buyers for these things?
Jeez, I collect a bunch in BB and just give them off to Newbies fighting in Qeynos.

Don't have a lot to say about this item. AC of 3 is okay for beginneres and the +1 to strength and stamina helps for some, but I really wouldn't take this one.
I also like to note that gnolls in BB really drop a lot of leather items. I was with a small group made up of 4 (5 at most)including me and I soon found myself encumbered with so much leather armor and weapons to sell just by killing the gnolls, and at only level 7 too. It sure does help a lot to have elemental pets help with their masters, magicians and such.

this item made me want to start tailoring, thinking- oh! you can create magical stat giving items with studded leather!

actually you can. The Wood Elven Racial armor is studded and reinforced leather with stats bonuses.
