Shadows of Luclin
Not bad at all off a level 20 mob. Most fine steel drop off 25+ and do not have any stats at all. Its pretty nice, magical also. Im an old school player, this is as good if not better then most under 20 quest weapons, and looks bad ***.
I may try to aquire one since Im after a full set of Loda Kai armor, if I can get it...
does anyone know if this can be seen in the hand on the mob?
This zone is crazy you could technically level to 40 in one zone... right by a city. Thats absurd. lol.

Yes it can be seen on the mob. Along with all of the other charred weapons.

Well, Im afraid the GM was wrong then. A friend of mind just got the simitar about a week ago... off a charred corpse.

I talked to a GM the other day and he said(no names) that the item didnt drop anymore......

What lvl would i have to be to get one of these? im a 31 ranger that good? and what tough side of the zone r u guys talking about?

Yep, level 31 is fine! I got one using my shammy, who was at the time lvl 22. Gave it to my druid, who is still using it. Pretty weapon, and not bad at her level.
Finally got one last night (Halloween) in the corpse graveyard. I had long since stopped actively looking for the Scimitar so of course it popped up after I cleared the camp the first time. Well I have better swords now (css and EWJB) but the Scim looks really cool. I will save it for special occasions.

I have been hunting the "tough" side of Shadeweavers for over a month on Xev. To date I have found 5 Charred Claymores, 6 Charred Axes, 6 charred broadswords and a Charred two handed axe but no Scimitar. The loot on this side of the zone is very poor and charred corpses and Firefall saureks Aggro at the drop of a hat but I really want a scimitar!!! Can anyone provide some ideas on getting this item. I would say so far I have knocked off over to 100 of these guys. Am I doing something wrong?

Hmph! Got one on my first camp of the area. Wonder if they changed things... sounds like a lot of folks are having problems finding the corpse with the clever.
If it matters... I pulled 'em to the top of the goofy local entrance(roughly 1000,-700) and kept the area in front of me clear of mobs. Roughly 5 beetles, 8 fire saureks and 5 charred corpses later... the one with the scimmy spawned.(Followed a beetle if'n I remember correctly about a virtual 60ft from the entrance.(Straight out)) Hope this helps.
I know it sounds sickly, but... my human shadow knight can output more damage with a stinky 5pp giant militia longsword that I bought in the bazaar than with this scimmy. Must be the berrage of fire spells and hits from the corpses slowing down the swings. I can do 22pts of dmg per swing with the GML and only 12pts with the CS.(Connections with the mob seem the same.) Wierd, eh?

I've been looking for one of these for the past week and half.... no joy. Got one (count 'em one!!) Charred Axe, no use to my druid. Think I gave it to a newbie.

I have camped the corpses and the charred Skeleies. I have gotten like 5 Charred weapons and no Scimitar 8(. Killed like 200 of the corpses and no Scimitar! Anyone know a better way to get this item? Where the Charred Corpses spawn? I have been at the smelly Corpse camp and they do drop Charred weapons on occasion but Have yet to get a Scimitar. ANy advice? I am on Sol Ro. Send a Tell to Deffin or Defflin if you have one to sell. Thanks

Now, here's the Charred Scimitar:

Besides the fact that the axe weighs less than the scimitar, is "range slot usable", and the axe may look better than the scimitar to some ... the Charred Axe is an inferior piece of poo to the Charred Scimitar.
( Granted, they are both pieces of poo weapons, but me point is the Axe is the INFERIOR piece of poo. ^_^ )

Agreed! The Scim is much better dam/delay, not to mention the higher Fire damage, and whats best for me, it is druid-usable, and as I am looking for a decent scim for my young druid.../grin
I think I'm going to get one.. for my 51 warrior, because it looks great. The stats obviously are 1-30'ish.

Charred Corpse (level 19 to 22, MOB)drops it , in the Shadeweavers Thicket(on the Moon).. corpses also carry it I had to kill about 50 charred corpse to get it , I got my second one by a fluke, the corpse just came strolling by with it .. of the series of Charred weapons this on seems to be the best.
Not to be picky, but I think the charred axe is better. Don't matter much, though, since I can't use either one.
