a goranga chieftan  

Hello Again all,
Just dropped the chieftan in ME today @ 9:18 pm on Zeb Sever. He dropped the beads and Block of ore, Small pc of Acrylia, And a rune of rathe. Was hopin for the Divine Inspiration but not yet ! :( ....
Well i'll keep tryin till i get it hopfully...

I have a few questions and I would appreciate it if someone could answer them.

What is the number loc of the tree by which this guy or his PHs spawn?

At what level could a wiz solo him? And at whatever level, would the wiz just root, snare, nuke and repeat until dead?

If the wiz has to clear the placeholders, do they social aggro or can the wiz kill them one by one?

well a week had gone by since i try for this mob i thought it has high time for another go, again after about 30 minutes he poped and droped the range item. went to the shammie this time. it looks like hes on a week spawner, i spend alot of time in ME and GE never noticed anyone camping for him the hole week. of course since no one had been knocking down the PH which i have come to find from prv post and personal exp is (if your camping corner near the wall to the fort area) is the mob on the left 2nd one back. he was spawn in the spot both times i have seen him. i will be droping that one mob while i travel in this zone over the next week see if i can find out for sure his spawn time =)

I just dinged 61 last night while camping the 5 spawn goranga tree in ME. At the end of my time the chieftan spawned single again in the South position. I pull him with Malosini, sent a fully buffed True Spirit pet after him, then Turgur's Insects, then Cripple. I then Bane of Nifed him and JBB'ed while rooting as necessary. Was a tough fight, pet needed 2 75% CH's I needed one, he has about 20k hps and enrages at 10% and stops at 6%. Make sure you pull him far enough back towards the wall or up on the cliff and let him run when he enrages so he doesnt tear the pet a new a$$hole. I only had 170 WIS with about +400 mana from items and didn't have a KEI at the time. Dropped only a staff and warbeads.
A 60 shaman with all his spells could solo him or a 61 shaman with the new pet and replenish ( 25hp/tick regen ) can solo him. Fight lasted approx 6-7 minutes. I reslowed after about 3.5 minutes as he can double for 171 and bash for about 70. He doesn't cast or summon and runs and Enrages at 10% life. Hope this helps some.

I camped this guy last night and after 7 hours he popped. did the camp with my 60sk and 51 shammie and botted my wifes 56 rogue. He was the easiest of the grape ape guys I have done. Slow stuck 1st try and he dropped fast. I was happy he dropped Divene the 1st try for my shammie cause all and all the camp gets kinda old.

Could someone post the Loc of the "Tree" everyone in the other post is talkin about plz. I am a 53 shaman and lookin to try and camp this spot

Was pullin the ph for chief the other nite while clearin the stone of seer phs.. was just a 61 sk (very sucky sucky) + lvl 60 chanty. Anywho 2 hrs of campin on this particular occassion and right before i call it quits chief spawns, easy to slow and with just sk + pet + chanty pet beating on him we took the poor ******* down, Didnt even use leech touch, just tappa tappa tappa, and a brief bit of aggro kitting along the wall and poof, was about to /ooc stupid @#$!ing war beads when chanty said devine dropped. Since neither of us needed it we invited a lvl 23 troll shammy from netherbian neither of us knew to loot it.. (Trolls have been very depressed since getting their asses kicked out of their hopes.. hope this one feels better now).. Also killed the chief around 7x first divine thingy ive seen

Killed this guy about 8 times. Every kill was around 10 to 12 est in the morning or 10 to 12 est at night. May b my luck, but for those that kill him in the future can you tell approz the time..

Facts.
1. looking from the hillside by the fortress wall at the tree, he only spawns on the back left side of the tree.
2. At lvl 59 you can anyone can pull the tree single (only the tribeman -spawning on the right- or the spiritseer -spawning closes to the camp spot- will argo due to their higher lvl)
3. Never has dropped the sword for my group or anyone I know that camps him. Rumor has it the sword no longer drops.
4. He fights like a Moktor in UP, but has less hitpoints and doesn't summon.

just killed chiftan today with my lvl 53 druid solo, was a very hard kill but i did mange to take him down and he dropped the Divine Inspiration.

Does he summon?

how bad MR is he?

I beleave that they switched the Strength of Grodan that dropped off the Toilers in Maiden's eye to this Creater, i wish they hadn't hehe.
