quest I've come to expect most starting notes to spawn.
Anyone ever get Unmuz to give them anything but training?

That's because this info is wrong. Unmuz gives you a note to take to Wellis Pestule who is the one who actually gives you the newbie armor quests.

The task writeups are correct. You have to obtain the note from Unmuz and turn it in to Wellis to get the quests.
