Head to the western part of the zone, find the plateau where only one "a burly hill giant" is roaming amongst 8-10 leopards, this is the right spot.
Now look for the single mob which is out of place, it can be the following PH's:
a dire wolf a hill giant A stone viper A brown bear
I kept killing the burly hill giant and these PH's for days with no luck, so decided to kill everything on the plateau, and don't know if it was blind luck, but after the second respawn, Oldbones showed up, but none of the above PH's were spawned, and the burly hill giant was also up, along with all the leopards.
Respawn time was not static, was between 17-21 minutes for the entire plateau.
I also had Midnight spawn on the plateau as well, after the first full clearing of the leopards.
Watching track, a dire wolf, a brown bear, a stone viper were definitely placeholder respawns before and after Oldbones on that plateau. So your PH list is correct, it just takes a while to get Oldbones to spawn. Respawn time is 16.5 minutes.
Old Bones summons its own adds...concentrate on Old Bones..dont bother with its companions...DOT smackola burn pets ..toss all ya have at it..it'll work
I camp the leopards in the field just southwest of the gnolls (728, 253).. I camp here all the time Ive seen midnight a few times.. this was the first time Ive seen old bones.. Was boxing a 70 ranger and 70 cleric with a tank merc and healer merc.. had several adds along with old bones.. was a pretty easy fight I thought.. just concentrated on oldbones knocked him down and killed adds. Good Luck and Happy hunting.
Had I been patient and looked up the info here, I'd have had him. He re-summons the pets throughout the fight, so don't bother killing them. I wasted too much time trying to eliminate his buddies. Its plausible to kill him solo(ranger, 15.7khp 2700ac at the time of the fight) by getting each mob slowed and unleashing on Oldbones. The worst he hit me for was 1300, but the large majority of the damage came from his pets. 3 lil buggers hitting for 300 on average and Oldbones around the 500-800s. Good hunting~!
There is at least 1 confirmed PH, as I have been camping Midnight and had OldBones spawn several times for me. There is a field of leopards with 1 Burly Hill Giant that paths down. The PH is a non leopard that spawns in the center of the field and roams north and south. The loot isn't really worth the difficulty. Oldbones has three pets he conjures that hit for around 500 each. Good luck and happy hunting. Oh, he is non kos to druids at least.
This mob is hard if your not ready for him. he spawns 3 pets that are green to 75 but have some hps on them. he himself is light blue to 75. spawned over by the leopards where midnight is to spawn
