i was in a group with a beastlord i think with mercs and i was a shadowknight. We, in betweenlvl 60 and 50 died in seconds. I got my necro and the beastlord by the way, my necromancer is like, level 80 at the time, killed him in about 30 secs.
Take that, wurm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went with my 45 SK and my dad's 59 Druid, he had tank merc & i had healer merc, both of us had pets and he killed all of us in (at the most) a min. I thought it was pretty funny though when he wacked us in the air.

So, I wake up this morning and my boy friend says come help me kill this dragon (68 Warrior) All you have to do is heal me. I was on my 68 cleric. I decided to look up to see what he drops, as I have never seen him in the caves before. I have hunted them a lot for spells and such. I decided it was a bad idea and convinced him the same. But we did have quite a laugh reading all the post. Thank you for that.

i (46 war) was in cavern with a 65 cleric and a 61 mage killing looking for spells well then we ran into everyones friend and we thought hey even the cleric with get exp for this one.. I then attacked next thing i see is temp at MB for donations.. DOA

Was gathering stuff for shawl quest and decided to try this guy without knowing who he was. Was a 65 druid, dead in like 2 sec's. Got my bstlrd friend to come help, and killed him in a few minutes. Was tough though, both druid and bst oom by the end of the fight. And didn't drop a thing, was disappointed. His ae is tough and debuffs..

Okay.. been killed by this guy once already.. (real fast).. Now after reading several of these posts not entirely sure why you'd try and kill him anyway, (other then just plain old revenge for a whomping he gave you in the past). I did have one quip tip for you though.. His chaotic gravity proc can be negated if you are using lev. just a tip for those of you who want a little payback.

Was screwin around with friends, and tried him (not knowing who he was), and had SoE on... he still hit us with his aoe... so I bet the lev wouldn't work either.

Personally, i see no point to killing him, I tried him once on a pick up raid, and we had about 12 people all 48+ we got rocked by his DD, we dropped one by one like flies. The point is though, he doesn't drop anything, and is a quest NPC. After learning this, i realized how stupid I was to try and kill him. It's like going and killing any quest NPC, but i've never seen a quest NPC with DD like that hehe.
Here's the facts about Karkador:
He hits for about 229 max. With every hit he procs Chaos Breath which hits for 1260 (with a -150 resist adjust).
Now I'm no chump, I went into this fight a level 65 mage. I had just seen my friend, a 65 pally get smoked by this mob in 10 seconds. I had to know why.
By the way, he IS on CoV faction, I was amiable to him, and pull the wurm next to him without aggro.

Is this guy on Claws of Veeshan faction? He conned threatingly to me. I've killed several giants
he is CoV. you need to kill more than several giants to get non kos to CoV.

HAHA! I was doing great, being a level 41 War and pulling the heck out of the cavern. We had moved into the intersection for Guardians and where Brrodmother sits.. I had pulled everythignin reach.. Hey, here is a tunnel I had never been down! Cool, ther is a mob, Named. I sent a group message saying here is %t, you want me to get it... No response.. a few ticks later, sure enough, my guildies say Pull it. hehe, it gets Ugly, a Critical hit with an arrow! 47 point dmge, You are slammed against the CELING for 1246 points of damage, You are slammed against the Celing for 1247 points of damage... Returning to Home Point.... haha!
Point is, I do not think Lev will assit you as the gravity slams you againt the celing. IMHO.

Well me being a warrior and all I just needed the challengs.(yes, he was red to me) Well I actually got two hits off, but he clawed me for 190 or so and double casted on me for 1290. I got dropped before i could turn around and run. Do not try and pull this guy as i stupidly did ...
I was on with my 40 Ranger and sent a tell LFG. Five 50+ were hunting giants at the giant fort and were kind enough to invite me. Spent a few minutes there when 1 asked if the group wanted to hunt worms. I told hem that a 40 Ranger was a bit low and they assured me that with their buffs it was not a problem. Went to the cave entrance, got some great buffs and felt better. Went in and we kept going in and kept passing worms and I kept telling them that we are going very deep and its getting a bit uncomfortable for me. Well, we got to a lair and there were 2 worms, this one and another. Of course they both conned very red to me but when one of the 50's said this one conned red to her I was really worried and then I notice that it was a named worm. The 50+ tank got close and moved a little closer and then he was dead. The others left/gated and of course not a good place for a 40 Ranger to be. I was far enough away, invised myself and managed to find my way out alive. It would have been very, very nice if the 50+ druid had evacuated me/us. A leason learned.

Does anybody know if Kardakor would assist if you attacked the shardwurm next to it? Since shardwurms are always kos and Kardakor is on Cov, you might think it's possible...

Ok next time I feel like trying to solo a mob I will actually look it up, was killing d00rfs in GD when I got bored and ran in and started clearing the caves. I found this mob, conned blue, I thought bonus, xp here, took three unrezzed deaths trying to take this guy down, his uncanny ability to chain Gflux surpasses my torpor and heal ability. All in all I decided not to try him again.

He is higher than 55.. I would be betting 58-65. I was a 55 shaman when I saw him, was invis... conned RTM.

I was told if you have levitate on, you won't take damage from gravity flux, is this true?

Gflux has a dd component and a separate component that shoots you up and you land taking dmg. I can't remember for certain if you still take dd component, but levi will cover you from falling component. Fairly easy to resist entirely, and if dd component does hit you it is less than a third of the spell's dmg at around 100 or so when it hit's full.

Some elder shardwurms in the cave see thru invis, but are all green to me... whats the quickest way to get to Kardakor, so i can avoid any confrontations with regular shardwurms? Im ally to COV faction, but shardwurms arent on any faction so they are all "scowls, ready to attack" to me.
to get to him, go into the caves from thurg with a sow and invis on
run all the way thru and turn left just before youget to the other side.
then follow the wall on your left till you get to a 4 way intersection. go straight
this guy will be around the corner on the right
he doesnt see invis, although some of the onther wurms do, but if you have sow on and just book it past them, they will not follow you
he is on CoV faction, so this is a good way to test your faction if you are in GD farming faction
run all the way thru and turn left just before youget to the other side.

I went looking around the worm caves and found this guy I was invis and he was indif.. He didnt agro. Even when I was close to him.
