Killed him today with boxxed 93 SK 8100 ac 81000 hp ,92 bard and 92 mage. 2 healer mercs and a melee dps merc. It ended up killing the SK the bard and dps merc but mage was able to finish it off even with his air pet beating on him grrrr. Dont like that turning my pets against me lol Dropped ring and formal headwraps
I believe PH can be any Huntsman. I killed it twice today. First time was the roaming Huntsman that Lothoec mentioned. Second time was a stationary one right where it is marked on map.
The PH is "a huntsman" spider that roams passed the Scout VI Leader around 913, -561, -46. It seems to wander quite a ways away - up into the hills in the western area of the zone, all the way around the big pit just to the left of the Scout VI Leader and up into the North West corner near two or three static grendlaen's. I set up camp near the pit South from the Scout VI Leader and cleared any other spideys around that might try to cause some trouble. Reason for this is the named will roam right in front of you, making pulling it to camp faster. If you're trying to pull from a far distance your puller will likely die from the dot before s/he even makes it back to camp.
Dropped it tonight with my trio box crew 95 Bst/Cleric and 92 Bard with a friend on his 95 Enchanter w/ a 91 Mage out of group. Had my J5 Tank and my friends J5 healer merc. The 2-hander dropped, and is now decorating a wall in my house. :)
A little tip about the spell it casts as the description can be a little vague -- The initial cast is single target, but it spreads to anyone within 50 range of the target it was cast on.
I'm not exactly sure if the Silence counter works as intended as it silenced my Beastlord more than once throughout the fight and he didn't even have a cure loaded.
This baby hit for a max 14k on a level 92, 6800 AC, monk, using defensive disciplines. Minimum hit was 6k. Avoid using abilities that throw pets at her (host of elements, for example), the spider normally takes control of the pets and send them back at you. This can also happen to normal pets (mage, necro, etc). Also casts some form of silence (cannot cast spells), but with a short duration (a few seconds).
It is nice to know what the prize is for taking down this bad boy. However, the information is useless if one cannot find the bugger. Location of his spawn point and/or PH's would really be helpful!
Download all maps. Replace your maps in your /maps folder with these. It has many of the named on it, including this one. I susually just put PH/locs for mobs that aren't on the Mapfiend maps.
