If you look at the ten stats as they are shown on the
Talents UI, you will see they are paired, two rows of five. This is a division of opposites. The upper row are Defensive stats while the lower row are Offensive.
For example, Health increases the damage you can take while Damage increases the health you can take from your opponent. Armor increases mitigation while Impact increases armor penetration (decreases the effectiveness of your opponents Armor).

Defensive:
- Health - The amount of damage you can sustain before becoming Incapacitated (wounded).
- Armor - Increased Armor gives you a higher mitigation percentage. Your attacker's Impact can reduce this mitigation. This is only for resistance to Physical Damage.
- Resilience - Reduces enemy's Critical chance.
- Dodge - Increases the chance to avoid enemy attacks.
- Parry - Reduces and reflects enemy damage.
Offensive:
- Damage - How much Damage you do per normal attack. This is the sum of the damage of all of your weapons, not just the one indicated by your stance, plus Revamps, Myth Points, Talents, Collection Bonuses and Mods. Stance does not change this value (although Dual Weapon Stance does show it is two values, each half of your total).
- Impact - Armor Penetration. This is a measure of your attack's ability to ignore enemy armor. 100 Armor vs. 100 Impact is the same as no Armor.
- Critical - Critical Rating is your chance of dealing 200% of your normal damage. Identified in the on-screen damage numbers with an exclamation mark and a "ding" sound.
- Precision - Reduces enemy's Dodge chance.
- Hit - Reduces enemy's Parry chance.
Miscellaneous:
- Steam - All abilities, whether physical or magical, consume Steam.
- Regen - The amount of Health you regenerate per second. No equipment or mod can chage this but it can be temporarily boosted with a Serum of Regen.
- Attack Speed - Reduces the Casting Time (time between when you start the ability and when it hits your target) of ALL abilities, Physical and Magical. The only thing in the game that increases this is your Valor ranking (you must be in the top 100 on the server to get this buff).
- Load - The number of slots available in your character inventory.
