i cant solo them i bet
my bard is still soloing here from 39 (currently 41); the chickens and dogs aren't too difficult. The ones around low 40s can hit 90-95 and pretty fast if my fear breaks early or they resist. Most of them, though, I can finish with 80percent health. I get about 1 percent exp per solo kill and upwards of 6 plat plus some loot (dogs still drop rusty weapons LOL). I didn't like the zone at first but came back since there aren't many flat zones for me to fear kite.

I've hunted cokatrices for awhile (about 10lvls) and the one thing they all seem to have in common is they all drop pretty decent loot stonleers having the worst and petrafiers having the best and stonegazers being in the middle. off of a petrafier the best loot i've gotten is about 6pp in coin and a black pearl. all of em occasionally drop the a beak which is worth about 1pp in OT but the outpost likes to rip people off so they might be worth more elsewhere

I have noticed that too. I never pass up the chickens.
If you are an evil race and you have the bank space, hang on to your Kunark loot until you get back to home. You will find that you get almost twice as much from the home city merchants for your stuff.

Just a little info that might help oout when you go chicken hunting..One the red feathers are used to make black dye for armor.I know red to make black, only Eq knows why.Two the beaks are only good for loot one pp each.I tryrf to use them to make arrows. no go.Now the chickend are fast .& thay hit hard too so don't let there con fool you .come prepaired for a fight,& good hunting.some times thay have stones on them too.

Have noticed that these birds in particular resist spells more than the other DL mobs. Stick them with a tash or malo first when in a group, and if soloing them give yourself lots of space before you snare them :)

Killed a few of these Chickens in DL last night..one dropped a Feather. Was wondering what it might be for? It wasn't lore or no drop like the one I got off a Chicken in OT..but umm wondering about that one too P

I killed one and it dropped a Red Cockatrice Feather. Have no idea what it is for.

hey the feather is for armor dye and i have no idea what the plume is for but i think it might be a quest item of some kind

The other day i was messing around in Dreadlands after teleporting someone there and i saw that this conned blue to me at 45. Seeing as i had full mana i proceeded to kite it. Well turns out these things have an incredibly large amount of hit points for there lvl. I used up my entire bar of mana, and continued to sit and med till i had enough for a nuke for another hour or so. was incredibly boreing. Made me mad when i found that it looted nothing.

To be a bit more specific, these will take 4 drifting deahts (2500 or so) and some number of roots. They are common diet for my 48 druid :)

These particular ***** can be higher than 40. There were a couple that conned yellow to me at 40 while most are blue and some evens.
