I finally got the last of the rare drops to finish my paladin sword collection from Sky, and I followed through his text to access a different pair of turn-in options. Nothing too fancy:

When you first hail him after he spawns, the last thing he says is "If you've already passed one of these tests, I may have something else you might be intrested in." By repeating the misspelling in a response (I said "I am intrested in something else"), Gregori replies with a way to turn in the two original swords for upgrades: "Ah, you are interested in getting a new reward for what you have accomplished. Very well, bring me Senki or Zephywind and I will find a reward more fitting."

The misspellings seemed to have been programmed into all aspects of the quest, including the trigger phrase you need to speak to get the text.
