Felia Goldenwing  

There are 4 PHs that seem to be on a couple minute cycle. There are 2 that are on a much longer cycle. I killed the 4 many times with no luck... Now I plan to start testing the longer respawn ones. Perhaps the 4 fast respawning ones do not actually spawn Felia... And she only spawns from the ones with longer respawn times. It is worth a shot innit?

I used the same tactic as others. Just keep killing placeholders until the Named mobs spawn, them leave them up and continue targeting placeholders.
It can take a while. Be patient and bring snacks.
Easily the most tedious portion of the epic.

I used a bard to track all her placeholders and returned them to the spawn points before killing them (in order to narrow down the search area). The highest concentration was in a large circle encompassing the wizard portal/dragon bones. I also found a few scattered between there and the dragon statue in the North East corner. Ultimately it took about 7 hours of non stop tracking and killing before this elusive critter appeared. Ultimately I found her flying west just north of the wiz port and gated her back to her spawn point which was @ -2721, -292, -136 ( a little east of the wiz portal). Wife's chanter charmed her and did her turn in for Epic. After all that work I couldn't bear to kill her so we just let her fly away. Good Luck hunting!

Before I ever went hunting for her I came here and read all the posts, trying to get as much intel as I could. I'll try to keep this shortish, lets get started...

Last week I got to Skyfire and did a /who and the zone had about 14 players. I put out an ooc that I was hunting for Feila for a quest turn in plz don't kill her and let me know if you see her. A bard responded that he was looking for her as well for his chanter so we started working together, his bard south of the big central caldera and my ranger to the north. After about four hours he had to log and I continued on. After another six hours alone, still nothing, I'd been all over the zone and was a "little" upset. Then it hit me, the whole time me and bard or just me was hunting her we never had Black Scar, Faerie of Dismay and Guardian of Felia up at the same time. It was either 2 of this one and 1 of this one or 2 and 2 (will comment on this later). So I spent the next 2 hours trying to get all three Named mobs up at the same time. Black Scar was not being cooperative and was the reason it took 2 hours. I'm dead serious when I say this...within 5 minutes of having all three named up on track she popped northeast of the big central caldera, more east than north, not to far from the OT zone line. She was flying southwest almost in a straight line towards the Giant Caldera south of the huge center one. My 94 chanter had no issues charming her lol. After I got back to PoK I sent the bard an in game email and told him what I did with the named and for him to try it. He found me in game earlier today and said it took him about 45 minutes to get all three named up and she spawned very soon after that.

Now about the 2 and 2 named mobs. While the bard and I were working together at one point we had 2 FoD up and 2 GoF up. He had one of each up south the central caldera and I had one of each north of the central caldera. Not sure where his were but my FoD was southeast of VP and the GoF was west of Warder Cecilia almost to the lava river. I know there was no tracking overlap due to the fact we killed the mobs. So it would seem you can have 4 named up without Felia being up.

Hope this helps anyone in the future and saves them from a 12 hour Skyfire hunt. I use Brewall maps if my descriptions don't line up with your maps.

Both guardian of felia and felia goldwing are up at the same time when I got felia.

She popped 8/4/12 around 8:30 pm after 30 minutes of killing the "Place Holders". Only two of the following names will be up at a time. Including Feria Goldenwing herself.

Took me getting on my Ranger and mass killing these guys until she finally popped up. (SIDE NOTE) she was very aggressive towards me, so it took me making her my pet before it would allow me to trade in my sapphire.

Warning: Once she pops. She will wonder far away ( buffing mobs ) So if using your own ranger to make her pop, then you must make sure to relog in your enchanter quickly before she gets far out of sight ;-)

I decided to finish my enchanters epic. Rolled in here and realized that this place was much too big to be finding and killing names one by one.
I found the place holders spawn in and around the wizards spire on the red and black square there. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of placeholders.. at least in my case.
There are tons of named mobs around, keep killing them. I killed dozens of Guardians and wandering wurms. It wouldn't spawn at all. Finally I saw a lava walker... it was stuck at the bottom of the volcano. I ended up swimming down and killed it in the lava, 3 place holders later She spawned.
*** warning ** I couldn't remember what gems to give her (super lazy here), so I started turning in my gems on by one.. She will eat them. Make sure you have the right one, or you'll be like me, making another trip to FV.
A very annoying camp all in all.

So i decided today is the day im getting this sapphire charmed. ive been trying once or twice a month alone 4 about 3 months now lol. Well today I got help from a nice ranger on povar by the name of Naeuvane. We together tracked the ph I followed her of course she tracked on ranger.mobs added like insane and I killed the ph. The Farie of Dismay was what popped Felia Goldenwing for me. IO agree this is a pita. I definitly recomend bringing help to clear the trash. Once I charmed Felia I got my gem turned in charmed and away we went. Thank you agin Naeuvane.

Took a really, really long time of killing the named to get Felia Goldenwing to spawn. I completely lost track of how many named were killed! Luckily, a nice Ranger, Kinidill, came over and helped out. Instead of me running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Even so, it still took a while for Goldenwing to spawn. And, on first charm turn-in she did not accept it but the second she did. Spawned around the VP area

All you need is yourself and a tracker to do this. I myself (66 ench) teamed with a 62 ench from guild as well as a 57 ranger. In total it took about 1hr and 30min and both of us were able to do the turn in with the same spawn.

CONFIRMED: Felia Goldenwing is on the spawn cycle of named mobs - a list can be found below. Thus, do not sit at the Burning Woods zone line killing Chromadcs... you will be there forever.

Each named mob is a ph for the other named so by killing one you have a chance to spawn another. The spawn time is around 30secs - 1min for these kills. Thus the hardest part of this is running to the next guy, killing him and the adds, invising, regaining mana, etc.

If you have multiple enchanters needing the turn in: Have one ench charm mob and take turns - only 1 person needs to charm him - you do not need to invis and have the next ench charm. Felia does not turn into the enraged one upon turn in.

with a guild group clearing mass ammounts of mobs in very large trains of 50+ mobs, also while running around tracking for the named was having all kinds of fun for the first hour or 2 but .. 7 hours is ridiculous for this spawn cycle,

another black scar or guardian of felia and i'm gonna barf =(
