Patch Notes for June 28, 2006

Here is the patch message from today, June 28, 2006:

*** Highlights ***

- The guild window is now available to everyone, regardless of expansion!

*** Items ***

- Introduced several new weapon augmentations that are available from Gemcrafters in starting cities.
- Mask of the Mad Musician now has the focus effect of Blessing of the Elddar.
- Drape of the Unseen now has the focus effect of Curse of Takish.
- Three Octave Shawl now has the focus effect Okahn’s Blood.
- Mayong’s Buckled Girdle now has the focus effect Zomm’s Right Eye.
- Mayong’s Masquerade Mask now has +25 backstab damage.
- Conductor’s Suede Gloves now has +20 frenzy damage.
- Cracked Belfry Wristcuff now has +20 flying kick damage.
- The Dread Deeds spell scroll is now tradable.
- Changed the looks of the Brewmaster’s Mug.
- Altered the Seals of Block to make them work correctly and to make the effects more in line with other Seals.
- Living Coal has been marked as a tradeskill item.

*** NPCs ***

- Many NPCs in zones released prior to Planes of Power have been modified. The most notable difference will be an increase in health and a decrease in the AC of the creatures.
- The All-Seeing Eye should be awake once more.
- The froglok guards in rathe mountains will no longer kill their spiderling pets.
- There is now a banker in Surefall Glade.
- Two Bankers have been added to the bank in West Freeport.

*** Tradeskills ***

- Radiant Tourmaline of Minor Quickening will no longer magically turn into Radiant Tourmaline of Aggression if you fail to make the combine.
- Disabled the recipe for Coadjutor Mechanoinstructions so people do not "waste" their components on this recipe. (Since the Coadjutor Mechanoinstructions have no use)

*** Spells ***

- The Dreadstone spell now summons a stack of 100 Dreadstones.
- The Blessed Aura and the Holy Aura spells should not fade when the Flames of the Valiant and Flames of Redemption buffs fade.

*** Tasks ***

- Corrected a problem that was causing some tasks and quests in the following zones to not update properly: Splitpaw, The Hole, Nurga, Droga, Plane of Fear, and Plane of Hate.

*** Missions ***

- The Spies Like Them mission should now more accurately recognize when all NPCs in the zone have been slain.

*** Events ***

- Many raids in instanced zones that required multiple groups to start can now be started with a single group.

*** UI Changes ***

- Fixed a problem with the barter search window not always returning the proper results when searching by player name.
- The guild window is now available to everyone, regardless of expansion!

Lets see, my steadfast servant is now a complete wuss...delivering a whopping freakin 30 pts per tick heal. Try checking the /barter command in the bazaar lately? Yep, that will get you kicked to desktop. I love all the MOBS that not only hit HARDER now, but seem to warp anywhere in the zone, bringing back a bunch of friends along with them.

All this and not one freakin thing came out of this that was good for the game. Also, last interview with a developer pretty much told us that unless you play in a "no real life" guild, your funky **** is just going to miss out on all the new stuff.

THANKS

Here it is several days later and I also have the 30pt per tick for a total of 120, where b4, I had the 180 per tick. Gosh I hope this is a bug and not a nerfed award. 30 pts a tick doesn't do anything for a 61 SK.

I wonder if the nerfing of the Steadfast Servant is tied to the new healing augs available?
Noticed

Would have been nice if they didnt tie those merchants to DoD or PoR I dont have either expansion so the merchant wouldnt sell to me. I'm assuming its DoD.

I put the 55pt heal aug on my BoC and have yet to see a heal for a full 55. I get alot of 32pt heals. I have another HoT aug on my off hand (Soulpiecer) it does a decent HoT of about 23 a tick. I got one of each hopeing they wouldnt fight eachother. Hope they arent subtracting regen item benefits from the procs. Will find out tonight when I reequipe my fungus tunic and see if I get a 17pt heal, ick

I purchased the healing aug that is supposed to heal 61 pts. It heals for 40, never more or less. I think it will be interesting to see if that goes up when I level. I'm betting at this point that the amount listed is a max that increases as level increases. Whoopee! Another point or two per level. Oh, well, its better than a kick in the teeth from a lvl 70 monk.
Verteran reward Steadfast servant

Also with this patch, it seems that the Steadfast Servant Vet reward now only casts a healing dot of 30 pts per tick. Came as quite a surprise when I was expecting 180 pts per tick. Tried it with two different characters and got the same results. Can anyone else confirm this?
