Elixir of Speed VII > Miraculous Visions

These are pretty pointless nowadays, at least if you're buying them. Elixir of Speed VII = 35% haste buff which is usable at same levels you can get ornate, unless you've been passed through a PoJ trial before level 50. Even at level 40 when you cannot wear ornate at all, you can use Elixir of Speed VI which = 30% also.

Furthermore, if you use Steadfast Companion vet AA, it casts alacrity which overwrites Elixir of Speed VII. So either way is better than gloves clicky.

Sure the clicky is unlimited, but baz value for gloves pattern is about 8k, which would buy about 760 Elixir of Speed VII's. And above level 55, the available elixir effects get even better.

I suppose the point is that the potions sold in PoK now change what is or is not viable upgrades.

There are 3 forms of haste.
1) Item haste.
2) Spell-based haste (enchanter, shaman, beastlords cast this)
3) Over-haste (from certain bard songs and clickies)

Only one of each haste will take effect. (Haste belt + Haste from Buff + Over-Haste from song). Spell-based haste, haste potions, and this clicky are all from category 2, thus only the highest value haste will take effect.

Thus, no spell-haste "stacks" or adds its value to another, even though the two buffs may coexist.

actually technically you can get 4 hastes' to stack..though there is a cap to them... dont aks me wat the cpa is i dont know... but you can get the item-haste, 2!!!! yes "2" spell based haste and the "over-haste" (bard song with the exception of osme clickies... to stack... yes i did say two an enchanter can stack two... i know because mym ain is a 78 enchanter.. though they may not be very good you can get 2 all in all having 4 stakcing haste...

My understanding is it doesnt stack the 2 spell buff haste %'s, but a spell like Visions of Grandeur I think will "Stack" with "Celerity" which i also think is higher % haste than VoG. But that is because you will get the Celerity haste% and ALSO the VoG stat increases like STR, DEX whatever it gives..

You do not get a STACKED haste % from Celerity and VoG both being on your character, just the better parts of the 2.

I use it because it lasts an hr, and as another poster noted it "coexists" with other haste spells. If my "good" haste wears off, at least I have 30% + worn haste till I can get a rebuff (potions last 30 min)

that's assuming everyone has unlimited funds to spend on potions. not everyone can drop that money just for haste, so this actually helps the classes who can use it. unlimited clicky haste, with the pattern at around 5 - 7k? buying those potions adds up... eventually you will have spent more than those gloves cost in potions. I'll take my 30 % haste over potions anyday..

Yes.
Co-exist, but not sure they truly "stack"
# Sep 03 2004 at 4:06 PM Rating: Decent
As of four days ago (8/29/04) this spell DOES at least "co-exist" with Swift Like the Wind (have yet to be able to test it with AQ or higher), but I'm not sure if they truly "stack", ie, I'm not sure if you get 30 + 60, or if the 60 "overrides" the 30 even though you have them both on at the same time.

Pretty sure it's just like how some shaman hastes can co-exsist with some enchanter hastes - example celerity and higher level enchanter hastes can be on your toon at the same time, but that doesn't mean they actually stack.. just for whatever reason they don't overwrite each other.

So don't cast this and think you're getting it to stack with anything but your worn haste!

yes, it stacks with shaman haste... but not with enchanter haste... shaman: type 1, chanter: type 1 and 3, this is type 3, and bard would obviously be type 2 lol.. (not all though, just a few)

self-buff stacking
# Aug 11 2004 at 1:29 AM Rating: Decent
I have not acquired this yet, but I am wondering. I noticed this is 30% haste buff. Eyepatch of Plunder (from The Lost Map quest) is a 20% self buff. If you look closely at the icon image though, they are quite different.

Now, the Captain Nalot's Quickening stacks w/ some ENC haste buffs, ie Vallon's Quickening. VQ and CNQ have 2 different icons, but alike. However, since they are different, it seems a good rule of thumb is if you get a haste that looks like CNQ, then it doesn't stack. If it's the other arm, like VQ, then you can stack CNQ with it.

Now, since these different arms are stackable, would this timer icon be another to stack on top of those. Miraculous Visions has timer icon, VQ has a "fleshy" arm icon, and CNQ has a "metallic" arm icon. "fleshy" stacks w/ "metallic", but does this timer icon stak with those two arms? or either?

It'd be awesome if they all stacked.. CNQ 20%, MV +30, PLUS VQ, whatever that is, and then on top of your gear!! /gawk

does this stack with haste from bards chanters and shaman?
RE: stackable?
# May 27 2004 at 5:46 AM Rating: Decent
This is a self buff only clicky spell. Therefore it only stacks with songs and worn, Avatar? doubt it ask a chanter :P or just try it.
umm
# Feb 28 2004 at 11:57 PM Rating: Decent
this is incorrect, my buddy linked these today (zerker gloves) and it said +130 atk
RE: umm

130% attack speed = 30% haste.
100 (your current attack speed) + 30%
