Gloves and casted haste
# Mar 12 2007 at 9:07 PM Rating: Decent
I realize there are 3 different kinds of haste, Bard, Casted (enc/shm/potion), and worn. Worn haste does not show up as a spell gem anywhere, bard haste shows up in the temporary box (song window), and casted haste shows up in the "Effects" or spell gem box. Here's the thing: I've noticed that Miraculous Visions is co-existing with casted haste, such as SltW and others, they're not overwriting each other. So, are they stacking or just taking the highest? (Or in the case of standing waves, cancelling each other out?)

no, the haste does not stack.

the reason that "buff" hastes sometimes appear to stack is because other stats on the buffs Do sometimes stack (str, dex, etc)

The actual reason, is because they do not share the same buff slot numbers. You can have Shammy haste and Enc Haste, because they use different buff slot numbers.

1: Increase Attack Speed by 60%

Hastening of Ellowind
2: Increase AGI by 72
3: Increase DEX by 60
4: Increase ATK by 64
5: Increase Attack Speed by 68%
6: Increase Chance to Critical Hit by 24%
8: Critical Damage Mob(1)

Miraculous Visions
3: Increase Attack Speed by 30%

Notice none of the slots share the same attribute, let alone any attributes. Well Miraculous Visions using slot 3 for Haste, and Ellowind uses 3 for Dex, but they're not the same attribute, so no overwriting issues there. But as others have said, you only get the highest any effect. The same is true for worn, and over-haste.

haste stacking

Am wearing a COF 36% haste. Would these add 30% haste to that? I realize only takes the top haste % from an item but this is not haste from the item its a spell you are casting on yourself using the item so would I snag 66% total haste?

After the intraduction of the Tribute haste I want ona search for what and how MY haste stacks!! I currently have Cloak of Crystalline Waters as Item Haste, and these gloves as clicky, I always travel with a shaman who casts Swift like the wind, Now with limited parsing I have noticed a increesed amount of DPS and the amount of times I swing when I have BOTH Miraculous Visions and SLtW. so I looked them both up as well as the chanter haste I would have instead of shaman Speed of Vallon and looking at the stacking portion of these links, as well as compairing the slots they are listed as I would have to come to the conclusion, that;

Miraculous Visions = slot 3 haste buff of 30% no stats
Swift like the Wind = slot 1 Haste buff 60% no Stats
Speed of Vallon = Slot 5 Haste Buff 68%, slot 4 atk buff, Slot 3 Dex buff & slot 2 AGI buff

Now it makes no since to me but I notice only a small incress in dps and swings per sec (sps) when I upgrade from SLtW to SoV so my conclusion is these do not stack, however I click on my MV adn the DPS and SPS incress quite a bit leading me to believe MV does indeed stack with the CHanter/shaman Line of Haste spells, and on top of Item haste, I can not speak about the lines of bard haste because I dont have a bard avail for parsing, I would assume that the stacking of MV adn Bard haste are not allowed!!!

bear in mind that haste wont go over 100%
RE: Stacking
# Aug 24 2005 at 3:09 AM Rating: Default
Actually that's not entirely true - Several bard songs break the haste barrier.

However, I can't imagine a clicky haste item would do that.

Though I honestly haven't parsed it at all, I'm pretty sure that Miraculous Visions and Swift like the Wind / Speed of Vallon won't stack with each other.

Here is the thing...

You already wear a Cloak of Crystalline Waters (36% base haste). If you add SLtW (60%) or SoV (68%), you would be at 96% or 104% haste. The limit to normal spells and items is 100% haste at level 65.

Even if you could stack it with Miraculous Visions, the return would be so small that it would be un-noticable (4% or 0%).

The only thing that allows your haste to exceed the preset level cap is the v2 bard haste line (Ervaj / Vah Shir).

What Lucy's "slot" designation does is tell you whether you can have 2 buffs up at the same time, and which overwrite each other. You may have MV and SoV up on your buff list since both have different "slots", but both are v1 haste, and the higher % will always be the used one.

It's best to look at it as:

Worn Haste + v1 Spell/Song Haste (whichever is higher) + v2 Song Haste + v3 Quiver Haste (for archery)

... and not as "which slot overwrites which slot."
RE: Stacking

It's best to look at it as:

Worn Haste + v1 Spell/Song Haste (whichever is higher) + v2 Song Haste + v3 Quiver Haste (for archery)

This is ALMOST correct. Its more acurate to note that there are three forms of bard haste. The first is a regular V1 haste simillar to chanter hastes, the second is one that will stack with the V1 haste but will not bust the haste cap and another that stacks with both of the previous two but WILL break the haste cap. Its most effective to look at your haste as:

Worn Haste + V1 haste (anything more then 50% is V1, Chanter haste, mjor bard haste, Shammy haste) + V2 haste (the Ervaj line) + V3 haste (the Vahshir of nuke increaser bard line) + Quiver haste (archery only)
Worth it

Heh, got these at 65... several weeks AFTER getting Raex's Gauntlets of Destruction. (So generously provided by the corpse of Pyronis in PoFire) The effect on Raex's gaunts is Attack+30, Regen+3. Bottom line, the 30% click haste is worth it when you're solo or in a group with no haster. It happens. 30% here vs. 20% on Eyepatch of Plunder... and the gaunts were much easier to get, too.

I am considering these for my warrior. The thing is, think about this. How often does a level 55 or above warrior group without some sort of slower (such as shaman or enchanter). It happens from time to time, but most of time time you got a haster. Wouldn't the effect of these guantlets be useless in a group with a enchanter or shaman?
RE: Question
# Mar 01 2004 at 1:50 PM Rating: Decent
short answer...Yes when in group with Shammy or Enchanter the effect will not mean much.

Look at the AC..Stats...tough to beat these at 55. NOT to mention 8 STA and 60 HPS!!!

additionally even in group with shammy or enchanter...the buff icon usually shows up, which is nice for dispelling mobs...much better to have this dispellled than vallons quickening.

AND how many times have you been running around solo or in small group of guildies without a haster...and just wished for some haste.

a click and 3 seconds later your hasted.
you would not regret getting these...especially at 55.

Just got these today and they are a must have..def worth the 50k I spent to get these. Its nice to have a 30% haste whenever u need it. Anyone know of a better haste item then soulscream.. I assume soulscream is 31% haste and gaunts are 30% so i have 61% haste all together when stacked. So If im grouped with a bard and he is playn his haste song would I get additional haste on top of this our would gaunts haste be nulled out.

The short answer is.. Sometimes :P

Haste stacking seems to be one of the more debated and confusing issues in Smiley: confused

The clicky haste on these gaunts is the same class as buff haste from chanter or shammys and won't stack with them. It also won't stack with bard songs that don't use Haste v2, or v3.

Even though two BUFF ICONs will stack does NOT mean that the haste elements of those buffs will stack. As long as the buffs have diff slots used for the haste component they can both coexist, but only the best haste will take effect. This is because some buffs have other stat boosts along with haste, so you wouldnt lose those if a better haste only buff is cast on you. I know this may sound strange, but it is true.

My understanding (after listening to others and testing with log parsers) is that item haste will stack with only one of EITHER spell OR song haste of the original type of haste, but not one of each. By original haste I mean the haste that is represented by:
1: Increase Attack Speed by 21% (L57) to 23% (L65)

The bard songs that WILL stack with standard buffed haste are higher lvl songs including the Ervaj and Vah Shir songs and some newer ones from LDoN and GoD, the Haste v3 will even allow you to go over haste cap. The way you can tell if they can stack if they are described as Haste v2 or v3, for example:
1: Increase Haste v2 by 5%

I'd recommend this helpful EQDiva Haste link
this one too
I hope this explains it with less trouble than it took me to figure it out in bits and pieces. Smiley: wink

I currently have a 55 war on mith and have the Eye Patch of plunder and the Gauntlets of Battle. I can cast both and have both icons up, does that mean they are stacking?
RE: stacking?
# Dec 28 2003 at 5:06 PM Rating: Decent
No, they do not stack.

There are 3 types of haste. Worn item haste, Spell haste, and bard haste. As a general rule you can only have the best of each of the three types. (some exceptions)

IE if you have eyepatch of plunder's effect (nalots quickening), and then a chanter casts SoS on you, you will only get the haste effect from SoS since its higher. Despite the fact that both may show up on the buff bar, only the faster takes effect.

# Dec 30 2003 at 10:23 PM Rating: Decent
Hmmm, in reviewing the effects for Captn Nalots QUicking, and Miraclous visons, according to Captian Nalot's QUickning uses slot one haste, and Miraculous Visions uses slot 3 haste, would appear to me that they do indeed stack.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 05 2004 at 7:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) to be honest , yes they do stack =P

I'd take a wild guess that it doesn't since you'll more than likely have either some stats on one of them or possibly AC or an attack boost.

Haste is a touchy subject so i'll try and keep it quick and general. Generally the only hastes that stack are Worn + Buff bar haste + Bard songs (warsong of the Vah Shir etc). This is evident when an Enc casts SoV on my pet (I'm a 61 Beastlord) when i do /pet report it will have both the enc haste and my pet haste. This is because the enc haste has an additional bonus to it but the haste themselves don't stack since my pet haste is 85% which is better than any enc haste.

Anyways pretty sure they don't so hope this helped =)

The effect on Kizark's Guantlets of Battle is "Miraculous Visions", not "Marvelous Visions". There is no stamina component to the spell.

I can say after 2 years of playing, Congratulations Verant! Now instead of endless hours sitting in Iceclad waiting on spawns to get a self hasting item, you can actually move forward and get XP while looking for the mold drop for this item in a Tier 3 zone. Kind of makes me wonder...maybe they do listen every once in a while...

uhm, +50 STA is HUUUUUUUUUGE - assuming they aren't capped at 255 (or above), this is amazing for warriors. Even if they *are* capped, this will allow them to switch out some of the +sta gear they have for other stats/resist.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 04 2003 at 12:55 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not really...of course it depends on the stackability of this and other item hastes, 60 hp isn't that much though:/
RE: . . .
# Jan 05 2003 at 7:32 AM Rating: Default
60hp +50 sta which is about another 300 or so hps at 60. not sure what 61+ will do though. needless to say it wont matter what haste stacks with this. if your using 36-41% haste and you click this you will cap your haste anyway plus you get 50 sta. hastes may not stack but the stats that the hastes give do.

no, you wont haste cap unless your level 50. the haste cap at 60 is either 95 or 100% i cant remember, but its not the 75% that level 50 was.

Just because the buffs stack doesn't mean the haste stacks.

Swift Like the Wind and Vallon's stack. You can have both buffs up at the same time. But you don't get haste from both. The higher level haste overwrites the lower level one (at least, I hope it does).
