Spirit of the Howler  

This spell also drops from an "old Wurm" in skyfire mountains. Just got my spell from this one after hours and hours hunting the other mobs listed for this spell...

Also the price is a factor. Spirit of the Howler is the most expensive Shaman pet. At least on all the servers I've been on. And as you can see by the numbers it's a rather minor upgrade. It starts out light blue and before you get to True Spirit it'll turn green. Even when I was fighting light blues at 60 he was missing constantly. I had him hasted with SLTW from my ornate and wearing a muzzle of mardu, giving him 71% haste vs. a 75% slowed mob and me not swinging a weapon. My screen was literally spammed with him whiffing. I didn't parse it but from eyeing it I'd guess he had about 30% accuracy. Again, this was against light blues at 60.

My advice... if you mostly group, don't bother with this spell unless the cost is nothing to you. If you mostly solo (and I don't know why you would) then weigh the benefits vs. the cost carefully. He really isn't much of an upgrade over the 49 pet and you've got a lot of other expensive spells to buy in the near future. In either case I wouldn't recommend camping for it. It's far from a common drop and your time would be better spent hunting in better exp areas and getting to True Spirit faster.

This sold for 5k on morden rasp back when i was in my 30's to my late 40's, it was always for sell. now that i am 55 i cant find it anywhere. i have camped all the named mobs in burning woods and not a single one droped this after an hour with each mob..... frustrating beyond beleif

i have just left a group that killed "a skyfire drake" and it had this spell, =))) so aparently it drops on them too =)))

edit : that was in skyfire mountains we killed that mob

Got about 4 in one night hunting for shards in Skyfire off random mobs / named / Wurms.

53 / 54 shammy can easily solo there with a bit of care, I had 4 drop for me along with a pile of mage spells and others.

If you are looking for spell drops in general try hunting in Skyfire you'll be happy you did.

Just watch out for the Chromodrac's they agro a fair way's off and AOE dispell -- Can strip you buffless in seconds.

Seuade 55 Shammy of Drinal

I have found this pet has more HP than the 49 pet. He hits for 53 ( I know...49 pet hits for 51) but he hits around 50 more often than the 49 pet. Other than that i don't see much diference. If you don't have it yet..personally I wouldn't spend my money on it. Use the 49 pet til 61. Anyways, I hope this helps someone out :)

I'd pay a couple k just to find this spell. I've never seen it for sale on Lanys. Killed Gullerback a couple of times, but connection problems have prevented me from making a habit of it.

What lvl is this puppy at 55 he's light blue to me
