okay i tried this recipe twice. first i failed with a research skill of 53 and then i succeeded with the same skill the second time. on my recipe search, it appeared as, yes, 31. What's up with that? it happened when i tried to make a spell too that was also trivial.

that happens all the time unless you have AA's in research for failures. JUst because your skill was higher doesnt mean it wont fail. just means you didnt succeed at the first attempt lol Its a tradeskill thing *shrug* Good Luck
