When you kill the orc taskmaster, he sometimes drops a Brass Earring. Give this to any male dwarf slave.
a dwarven slave says 'You killed the taskmaster?! Absolutely amazing! The orcs will be fighting among themselves for power now and I can disappear in the commotion. Thanks, friend! Take this for your deeds!' You gain experience!! You receive A Worn Rune, which reads: Haldin, me ol' partner. If yer getting a note like this ye know what it means.
Guard Haldin is at location -145, 50 in Butcherblock Mountains. Give him the rune. Guard Haldin says 'Eh, strapling? Ye got this from me ol' partner? Huh. Aye, I know what it means but ye're not hearin'. Here, take this. It was his but he's not needin' it now.' You gain experience!! Just did this quest 2x on two separate characters at the same time on Agnarr. They both received a bronze battle axe, not a dwarven axe. What a waste of 2 earrings. Going to Felwithe next for (I hope) a Gossamer robe.
I did this quest and I didn't get a dwarven axe. I got a bronze axe instead.

You got the bronze axe because the Dwarven axe is the rare reward. The bronze axe is the common reward. You have to keep doing it until you get the rare one if you really want it that badly. This is not an unusual thing that happens in this game, many loot drops and quest rewards are structured like this.

First off, twinking is cheap, and it takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Do it if you want, but a lot of people dont, and wont.
Secondly, this quest DOES give you faction.
For killing the TM (same as any other CB Orc):
+ Faydarks Champions
+ Storm Guard
+ Emerald Warriors
- Crushbone Orcs
- Indigo Brotherhood
And for giving the earring:
+ Kazon Stormhammer
+ Storm Guard
+ Merchants of Kaladim
(sorry I cant remember what else)
The small bit of experience and the bronze weap may not be worth it to most, it isnt to me either. So just turn in the earrings and destroy the items you get back ?! But if you have to go to Kaladim anyways then why not?
BTW The name of the guy is "Guard Haldin" and he's found at -136 +136 +1 in Butcherblock Mountains.

lol, ok, first off, this is the worst quest ever, you dont even get any faction pluses, and no, no matter how bad of a wep you have, DONT do this quest, i mean, really, what a waste of time, if you have a higher lvl character, just twink your self, or, if you dont got a higher lvl character, go to PoP, and just be your noob self, people WILL give stuff to you, works all the time for me. well, sorry if I made anyone who did the quest feel bad, but really, BRONZE WEPS????!!!!!

Hmmm ... I remember when bronze weapons were very good, which is when this quest was created. It is probably a useful quest still, on the progression server.

The Taskmaster is on the wall behind the castle where there are pits filled with slaves(slave pits they are called) he spawns right beside the pit of teh notorious gnome Retlon Brenclog. Dont get him on ya, heh. He isnt always spawned but when he is, hes really not to hard a fight if you can take on legonairres easily

Where does the taskmaster spawn becuase my dad and i can't seem to find him untill we want to leave then my dad (who is a wood elf ranger with out a good weapon) finds him on his tracking ablity and then when we get there he dies

bronze weapons aren that good but good if you dont have a s mace and other kick *** magicweapons
but xp is always good
