Deadbone Reef #4: Attract the Dead

This group mission is the fourth in a series of five. It begins with Gus Longear (click for map image), who is located at about 390, 3240 on the northeastern coast of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.
Pre-requisites for requesting: - Completion of "Shipping Lanes" - Completion of "Pirate Stew" - Completion of "The Drowned Dead" At the end of the previous task, you saw: Gus Longear says 'It seems that a necromancer named Kenox has been using the drowned for his nefarious purposes. There must be a way to get his [attention] and get to the bottom of this!' You say, 'How do we get his attention?' Gus Longear says 'Kenox you say? This might be a wee bit more serious than I was thinkin' at first. We gots to get him out in the open and figure out what he's up to. You might want to go talk to [Maatha]. Might be a way to get his attention.' You say, 'Who is Maatha?' Gus Longear says 'Maatha is a shaman of the galigaba. Go find him at Deadbone and take him this. I think he will help ya find a good way to lure out that skeleton-loving wretch.' You receive "Shrunken Head". You have been assigned the task 'Attract the Dead'. Gus Longear has referred you to the galigaba shaman Maatha in order to create a totem to attract Kenox's attention. Travel to Deadbone Reef and speak to Maatha about creating this totem, and perform whatever task he requests. When you are ready to leave Deadbone Reef, find the rowboat to get back out to sea. Purchase tickets to Deadbone Reef and catch the boat 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Buy a "Seafarer's Ticket: Deadbone Reef" from Dockmaster Angus at the dock (nearby) and keep it in your inventory. When the ship docks, step onto it and wait for it to sail out to the Buried Sea. Upon zoning, you'll find yourself in an instanced version of the island. (Next to you is a rowboat that serves as your zone-out.) Dockmaster Angus says 'You look like you've been at sea on a dangerous mission for a while? Perhaps you plan to head back out, in which case you're going to need to purchase another ticket before boarding the Isabeau.' Deliver 1 Shrunken Head to Maatha Wirringam within Deadbone Reef 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Maatha Wirringam is located in the galigaba camp in the highlands on the opposite side of the island from the zone-in point. Maatha Wirringan says 'A shrunken head? You must be trying to get on my good side. I can help you attract Kenox's attention, but I am going to need a few things. Collect four different types of pearls that capture the essence of this place. With these I can grant you favor with Prexus, which would surely anger Kenox. Bring me these pearls and the next time you return to this place you shall have his attention.' Loot 1 Yuundu Pearl from a lizard 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Loot 1 Gali Pearl from a snake 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Loot 1 Guya Pearl from a shark 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Loot 1 Balun Pearl from the drowned dead 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Lizards and snakes are found on the beach; the sharks and undead in the water off the coast. Deliver 1 Yuundu Pearl to Maatha Wirringam 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Deliver 1 Gali Pearl to Maatha Wirringam 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Deliver 1 Guya Pearl to Maatha Wirringam 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) Deliver 1 Balun Pearl to Maatha Wirringam 0/1 (Deadbone Reef) (He says nothing upon turn-in.) Speak to Gus Longear 0/1 (The Buried Sea) You say, 'Hail, Gus Longear' Now marked by Prexus, it's only a matter of getting [Kenox]'s attention and finding out what is inspiring him to perform these horrible acts.
