This results in The Wispy Choker of Vigor.

You need an Ivory Tessera, a gem of invigoration, and an Inlaid Choker.

This quest begins with Thalik Silenthand in the Efreeti room of the Plane of Sky.

You say, 'Hail, Thalik Silenthand'

Thalik Silenthand says 'Greetings, ______. Do you believe you are a great rogue?'

You say, 'I am a great rogue'

Thalik Silenthand says 'I will not take your word for it! You must prove your greatness to one of my apprentices. Do you wish to be tested by Rayne or by Kendrick?'

You say, 'tested by Kendrick'

Thalik Silenthand says 'Kendrick it shall be. Take this book and read it. When you are finished, hand it back to me and I shall summon the mighty rogue Kendrick to test you.'

You receive the book Silent Strider. Give it back to Thalik Silenthand. Thalik Silenthand despawns and Kendrick spawns next to him. Kendrick will despawn in a minute or three, so don't dawdle.

Thalik Silenthand says 'Farewell.'

Kendrick says 'I am Kendrick the great.'

You say, 'Hail, Kendrick'

Kendrick says 'Welcome, ______. I am apprentice Kendrick. Do you wish to test your abilities?'

You say, 'test abilities'

Kendrick says 'Great, let us waste no more time! Do you wish to begin your test of thievery, silence , or trickery?'

You say, 'test of thievery'

Kendrick says 'Thievery is absolute. Travel beyond and bring forth an ivory tessera, a gem of invigoration, and an inlaid choker to complete the test of thievery and earn the wispy choker of vigor!'

Turn in the Ivory Tessera, Gem of Invigoration, and Inlaid Choker to receive your Wispy Choker of Vigor.

Inlaid Choker
Better and easier quests

Collar of the Storm if your giant aligned or Dragon Tooth Choker if your dragon aligned.

Plane of Sky is still fun, but there are better items now, easier to get as well.

I am Stalka 58 rogue on Lanys.. i Use a crappy Ravenscale neck.. i think its like 8ac 6dex.. something like that.. the point is on this neck.. sure its ac is weak.. and its hp is weak compared to lots of Velious stuff.. but lets get to the facts.. Rogues who play good.. like a rogue should.. shouldnt have agro.. therefore need no ac or hp.. this is a very nice necklace i would love to and almost have obtain 1..just my 2 cents

it's utterly beyond me why rogues would whine about this item. you're not going to use it because it has no resists? um...did you ever think that you could carry resist gear AND a nice melee neck like this one? use the resist gear when you're fighting dangerous casters. use the melee gear the rest of the time. it's really quite simple. =)

any rogue who would take the sentry choker (with its AGI buff and slightly higher AC) over the wispy choker (with +9 STR/DEX, among other things) is missing the point of playing a rogue. you're a damage dealer, not a tank. yes, get your AC up to a respectable level so you can survive those times when you aggro. but the rest of the time, you want OFFENSE. more strength is always helpful, and depending on your weapons (bloodpoint comes to mind, of course), dexterity is also very important.

as stalka says, if you're getting hit a lot and are worried about your AC, you should sell everything and try a warrior. =) ALL characters should have the best resist gear possible. rogues should try to maximize offense as much as they can without leaving themselves too vulnerable. the trick is finding that balance--being able to dish as much damage as possible without attracting attention.

rant over. this is a great rogue neck piece, and it's perfectly in tune with what rogues do. AC is ok but not great, offensive stats are great, and it gives you a few HP and AGI points to improve defense. that's what rogues should always look for, imho.

Unlike warriors (who's AC can get higher and higher) rogues are quickly capped in damage-dealing in the high-end;
Once you get 255str and dex, how do you increase your damage-dealing capabilities? Shrunken Goblin Earring, and thats about all.

And with FoS or Avatars, you can reach those cap very easily during events.... Thats why a lot of rogues try to get AC HP and Resist instead of Str.

But since I picked "Woodelf" as my race, my str suck and I gotta dig deep into zones to get Str items... <grmbl>

Peace

Stats

The stats on this are similar to the WAR necklace, something like 6 ac, +7 to STR AGI, and one other stat like STA or DEX
