Call of the Forsaken Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor

About Heroic Adventures

- Heroic adventures in Call of the Forsaken scale in level: As low as Level 75 and up to current maximum level.
- Scale is based on the highest level player present in the zone and affects difficulty, loot quality, and mob levels.
- There is some variation/randomization in the task steps you'll be assigned as you progress through the task.
- Time of completion will vary by your group's makeup (anywhere from 30-90+ minutes).
- Collection items appear as ground spawns midway through tasks (you'll see an emote indicating their appearance).
- Named mobs (or their PHs) spawn midway through tasks (usually, but always, at the same time collection items appear).
- These tasks have individual 3-hour lockout timers (timer gained upon completion).

Experience in Heroic Adventures

- Mobs in these instances grant some experience, but the bulk of experience is earned upon task completion.
- As of a patch in November 2014, less difficult tasks were tuned to reward less experience and more difficult ones were tuned to reward more.
- For an added experience bonus, check out Guard Hamarn's "Daily Tasks".

This is a heroic adventure (1-6 players) that begins with Ambassador Crizlyna (map image) in the Bixie Warfront. She is located a short distance north from the portal to the Ethernere Tainted West Karana.

TASK IN DETAIL

========================================================================
TRIGGERING THE TASK
========================================================================

You say, 'Hail, Ambassador Crizlyna'

Ambassador Crizlyna smiles politely and nods to you while lowering herself until her front feet graze the ground, 'Well met, _____. I trust you're here on [business]?'

You say, 'Business?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Well, if you're here on vacation, you'll leave disappointed, I'm afraid.' Ambassador Crizlyna smirks, then adjusts her face to a somber grimace and continues, 'Have you heard about the [fate] befallen our poor [Stone Hive allies]?'

You say, 'What fate?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Oh dear, yes. Our esteemed [bixie allies] in the Stone Hive have been corrupted by an evil force. They've turned from [wise protectors of nature] to savage beasts that [lash out] at anything that gets near! This has happened to most [clearly against their will].'

You say, 'What about your allies?'

Ambassador Crizlyna smiles weakly, as if she's had to explain this countless times, 'You may have noticed our skin is a different color than the Stone Hive bixies. We're from the [West River Hive], located south of here along [Turnback River].'

You say, 'They were wise protectors of nature?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Well, yes, of course.' She gives you a stern look and a strained smile, 'You wouldn't criticize our long-standing and respected allies while enjoying the hospitality of our well-protected [camp], would you?''

You say, 'How did they lash out?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'As the [Wet River Hive]'s primary ambassador to all of our esteemed allies, I've spent much of my life in the housing of other hives and tribes, ensuring our relations remain strong. Naturally, Her Highness brought me with her on this expedition to discover what our [Stone Hive allies] were up to. I've visited Queen Pelzia on many occasions, but this time, I found I was [not welcome].'

You say, 'What is the Wet River Hive?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'There are hundreds of bixie hives, some larger than others. Ours is the other major hive in the region, so we naturally sought an [alliance] with the Stone Hive bixies. Bixies need to work together to ensure mutual success in the face of an increasingly dangerous world filled with monsters, demons, and [gnomes].'

You say, 'Gnomes...?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'What?'

You say, 'What is the Turnback River'?

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'The river that runs throughout all of Antonica, of course. It's where all of this water around us comes from.' Ambassador Crislyna looks at you like she's concerned you might be a bit stupid, 'You didn't think it was raining in here, did you?''

You say, 'What about your camp?'

Ambassador Crizlyna smiles naturally and resumes a more comfortable posture, 'Her Highness was most wise to personally investigate the [odd behavior] of our Stone Hive allies. Our [military escorts] have kept this camp safe for weeks while our scouts explore the area for [clues].'

You say, 'Why are you not welcome by the Queen?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Their massive [underground hive] is completely surrounded by guards and workers, furiously stirring the honey, preparing for hunts, or getting into brawls in the street. Very unlike bixies to behave in such a brutish manner.' She pauses and looks at you, as if expecting a protest, but continues quickly, 'I was able to get halfway up the front steps before the [crazed guards] closed in.'

You say, 'What is this alliance?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Mostly a non-aggression pact arrangement, with the standard trade arrangements, diplomat exchanges, and safe haven passage, et cetera. I'm sure the details would bore you. What you need to know is that the Stone Hive bixies are our trusted allies, and we will come to their aid in this, their [hour of need], so that...' She pauses to look at you directly, 'opportunistic outsiders won't try to take advantage of their vulnerable situation.''

You say, 'Tell me about the military escorts'

Ambassador Crizlyna looks lustfully at a nearby guard, then catches herself and looks back you with a polite smile, 'Oh yes, I'm sure you've seen them around here. Strong, muscly types.'

You say, 'What about these clues?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Well, you'll have to ask Her Highness, Queen Shulriya Fiume, if you want specifics regarding the more brutish activities. I keep to the [royal chambers] of our allies.'

You say, 'What underground hive?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'I'm sure you've seen the Stone Hive located above ground, just east of Blightfire Moors. If you haven't, I highly recommend you [visit] some time. It's quite beautiful. But they've built [another] down here.'

You say, 'What crazed guards?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Their eyes were red, their muscles swollen. Completely consumed by the enraged effect of that [cursed drum]! They practically ripped my wings off as I flew through one of the [waterfalls] back into this cavern.'

You say, 'Visit? Me?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Well, yes, our Stone Hive allies don't much like outsiders such as yourself. They're less tolerant of your violent nature and tendency to [ransack] every place you visit.'

You say, 'We don't ransack...'

Ambassador Crizlyna gives you a patronizing smile and says, 'Let's just say there's a reason we haven't invited you back to our own hive quite yet. But your skills do have their uses, and we'd love for you to visit our allies' [underground hive], where your more forceful tactics are very much needed.'

You say, 'Another hive?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'A few months ago, our primary ambassador to the Stone Hive disappeared. When I arrived to investigate the matter, we discovered the Stone Hive bixies were [digging] underground at an alarming rate!'

You say, 'Tell me about the waterfalls'

Ambassador Crizlyna looks proud and brushes some moisture off of her wings, 'While I respect and support all of our allies, being a [Wet River Hive] bixie certainly has its benefits. We embrace the water and the strength it brings us.'

You say, 'Digging?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Well, they mostly used their trained moles for the digging, but the effect was the same. Within a few weeks, they'd dug a massive [cavern system] and filled it with the tools and trainings of [war].'

You say, 'What about their cavern system?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'It's marvelous what they've managed to build so quickly. Countless tunnels, dozens of caverns. Factories, dojos, training grounds, homes, and so much more. If they weren't using it all for a doomed [war], I'd applaud them for it.'

You say, 'A doomed war?'

Ambassador Crizlyna sighs and shakes her head, 'I don't understand it. They've become obsessed with conquering Crescent Reach. This corrupting aggression has gotten the best of them, and they feel forced to prove their prowess by slaying dragons. They'll get themselves killed. We must [stop] that.

You say, 'Stop it?'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'There is still much work to be done at the main hive if we are to ensure our and our allies' safety, _____. Let me know when you're [ready] to depart.'

You say, 'What's this cursed drum?'

Ambassador Crizlyna's eyes get big for a moment before she composes her face into a fixed smile, 'Drum? I'm sorry, you must've misheard me. Please, I believe we've talked enough now. There is much to be done at the Stone Hive's underground hive. Are you willing to [embark on an adventure] to aid us and our allies? I hope so, after enjoying the safety and hospitality of our camp.'

You say, 'I'll embark on an adventure here...'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Excellent. I believe you'll find there is much to be done in the hive. Let me know when you're [ready] to depart.'

You have been assigned the task 'Assault the Main Hive'.

The Wet River Hive bixies have discovered the source of the Stone Hive's militaristic fury: a magical drum capable of influencing emotions. It's being constantly played at the center of the underground hive to keep bixies obsessed with war. Ambassador Crizlyna has recruited you to help Infiltrator Nallai weaken the hive's defenses for their primary strike force, which will try to sabotage or steal the drum.

You say, 'Ready!'

Ambassador Crizlyna says 'Best of luck to you, _____. And do try to avoid hurting as many of our allies as you can. We may need them later.'

LOADING, PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Bixie Warfront.

========================================================================
STEP #1
========================================================================

  • Get instructions from Infiltrator Nallai 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Follow Infiltrator Nallai's dialogues ("today").

    You say, 'Hail, Infiltrator Nallai'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'Thanks for coming, _____. We're in the final stages of [our mission] and you're the only ones I [trust] to help me see it through.'

    You say, 'Your mission?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'Our [spies] have identified a weak point in the [main hive]'s defenses. We need you to find a way in and [neutralize any threats] inside.'

    You say, 'Why trust me?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'We've had our rough spots during these missions, but when honey hit the pool, you always had my back. I appreciate that.'

    You say, 'What have your spies found?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'Thanks for your help in creating openings for our spies to enter the Stone Hive community, by the way. The integrated spies are providing the bulk of our intel, and only a few have [converted].'

    You say, 'What about the main hive?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'After everything we've seen down here, I guess it's not surprising that the Stone Hive bixies have built another massive hive underground. It's just outside this building, and it's [packed with bixies].'

    You say, 'Neutralize any threats?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'There's some weird types going in there. The hive seems to serve multiple purposes as a [science lab], [university], and a [government building].'

    You say, 'Tell me about those converted'

    Infiltrator Nallai looks toward the doorway to make sure no one has snuck inside and whispers, 'You hear that powerful [drum], right?'

    You say, 'What about science lab?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'I saw a lot of scientists running around inside and out [today]. Prepare yourself for some weird experiments. I doubt they're studying the effects of sleep in there.'

    You say, 'What about the university?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'Bixies have typically studied the earth and nature, but the students I saw walking in [today] are obsessed with war. One of our spies debated espionage theories with their teacher for over an hour!'

    You say, 'What about the government building?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'I don't want to get into the details of bixie physiology right now, but, yes, bixies still need a form of government. The senators I've seen walking around the hive aren't prone to diplomacy, if you know what I mean. Luckily, I haven't seen any out there [today].'

    You say, 'And the drum?'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'We believe that the drum is corrupting the Stone Hive bixies' emotions. It's driving them to insane levels of bloodlust, and bringing out their most savage instincts. We need to put an end to it. But before we can do that, we need to clear out the hive. That's what you're going to do [today].'

    You say, 'Let's do it today'

    Infiltrator Nallai says 'Your mission is simple, _____. Get inside that hive, assess the threats awaiting us, and eliminate anything that'll prevent our strike team from reaching the drum chamber after you.'

    ========================================================================
    STEP #2
    ========================================================================

  • Collect alluring flowers 0/10 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: The bixies around the main hive seem to be obsessed with the local flora. If you can acquire some, the flowers may prove a valuable bargaining chip with the guards blocking your way into the main hive.

    If You Get This Step: Simply kill mobs outside the hive until you've gotten all 10 updates.

    =====================

  • Acquire royal guard-stamped passes 0/10 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Kill or bribe (100 platinum) honey-addicted guards until you've collected enough passes.

    =====================

  • Find and drink a Bixie Illusion potion 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: "a drunk chemist" (spawns feigned death among the mobs outside the palace) drops "Murky Potion".

    =====================

  • Kill sneaky honey stealers 0/5 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: These mobs phase in and out of visibility around the honey moat. Kill five of them to update.

    ========================================================================
    STEP #3
    ========================================================================

  • Gain access to the main hive 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: Two grumpy guards near the main hive entrance might be interested in your recent activities. Go speak with them.

    If You Get This Step: Speak with the guards to open the door to the hive.

    Without having completed the previous step, you'll see this:

    You say, 'Hail, a grumpy keyholder'

    a grumpy keyholder looks at you with menacing eyes and grunts, 'You shouldn't be this close to the [hive], _____. You lookin' for a [fight]?'

    You say, 'Let me in the hive!'

    a grumpy keyholder says 'You want in the hive, _____? I'm still going to need to see some official papers or something like that to open the door for you.'

    You say, 'I want a fight'

    a grumpy keyholder spits in your face. 'You're not worth it, scum. Get out of here.'

    Once on this step, you see:

    You say, 'Hail, a grumpy keyholder'

    a grumpy keyholder snatches the bundle of flowers from your hands, shoves them in its face, and inhales deeply. It looks at you and says contently, 'How did you know these were my favorite? They normally only have these [inside].'

    You say, 'I'd like inside now...'

    a grumpy keyholder looks at the other hive gate guard and nods.

    a grumpy keyholder says 'You want into the hive? We can make an exception for you. Besides, we weren't even paid this week.'

    a grumpy keyholder inserts a small golden key into the door and the solidified honey chunk shoots up into the hive wall.

    a grumpy keyholder says 'I doubt the crazies inside will be happy to see you, _____. Give that pompous Jonnagnon a punch for me, eh?'

    ========================================================================
    STEP #4
    ========================================================================

  • Kill fired bixie employees 0/13 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: The main hive seems to be having some inner trouble. The scientists and supporting staff that are housed are getting kicked out. They're refusing to leave and the situation looks likely to escalate soon. Take out the potential rioters before they strike.

    If You Get This Step: Kill 13 "fired" bixies inside the main hive.

    =====================

  • Debate bixie philosophers 0/12 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Speak with and, if necessary, kill philsophers.

    =====================

  • Collect honeycomb chips 0/10 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: The bixies have captured drakkins from Crescent REach and have found a way to mind-control them! They're currently being forced to eat honey constantly inside the main hive. Kill the slaves or controllers and collect the honeycomb chips inserted into their necks.

    If You Get This Step: These are known to drop from mobs "a cackling controller" and "a mind controlled slurper".

    ========================================================================
    STEP #5
    ========================================================================

  • Debate the master philosopher 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: The main hive bixies highly value the ability to debate the philosophies of war. The master philosopher has emerged from the higher levels of the hive. Debate him to prove your worth.

    If You Get This Step: Jonnagnon the Dreamer spawns at the top of the steps.

    You say, 'Hail, Jonnagnon the Dreamer'

    Jonnagnon the Dreamer says 'Well met, _____. I'm eager to discuss your opinions on war. Which school of thought do you belong to: [pacifism], [eschatological], [political], [realism], [cataclysmic], [just war], or [peace through strength]?'

    You say, 'Just war...'

    Jonnagnon the Dreamer says 'Very well, we can apply morals to war, if you insist. What aspect of war do you object to? The [killings], the [conscription], or the [costs]?'

    You say, 'The killings...'

    Jonnagnon the Dreamer says 'That's my favorite part of war! Allow me to show you why!'

    Jonnagnon the Dreamer attacks; hits for a max ~15,000, AE rampages, and has a lot of hitpoints. Kill him to update this step.

    Jonnagnon the Dreamer has been slain by _____!
    A few points of shining light catch your eye.

    =====================

  • Kill the juiced warlord 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Kill Kritty the Crusher.

    ========================================================================
    STEP #6
    ========================================================================

  • Collect creepily violent books 0/20 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Click book ground spawns to spawn mobs ("a raving writer"; "a book slapper" - AE rampager). Ground spawns and mob kills should combine to update this step.

    =====================

  • Collect weird chemicals 0/6 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Kill "a volatile chemist"; "a training surgeon"; and "a confused patient" until you've looted enough "Weird Chemicals".

    =====================

  • Kill test subject moles 0/3 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: Bixie scientists were conducting brutal experiments on restrained giant moles, but they broke out of their cages and have exacted revenge on their testers. Put these poor creatures out of their misery!

    If You Get This Step: Head up the main steps and into the side rooms where you'll find the moles. These mobs will buff themselves with either "Blinking" (a short-term invulnerable buff), "Bubbled" (a rune).

    =====================

  • Kill mutating bixies 0/8 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: Bixie scientists in the higher levels of the main hive have been looking for ways to increase their strength. Things didn't seem to go well, and the lab appears to be overrun by bixies in different processes of mutation. Clear out the labs.

    If You Get This Step: DPS "a mutating bixie" to 30% at which points it turns into "a mutated bixie", strips its debuffs, and regenerates to 100%. Kill the mutated bixie. (Repeat x8)

    ========================================================================
    STEP #7
    ========================================================================

  • Obtain the first honeycomb 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: At the peak of the main hive, an elder bixie sits inside of an archway, supposedly protecting the first honeycomb ever created on Norrath. If the bodies lying around him are any indication, however, he's become overzealous in his protection of it and has become violent.

    If You Get This Step: Make your way up the hive and engage Hexthresh (hits for a max ~11,500; AE rampages; is stunnable).

    Hexthresh says 'Unpure eyes may not gaze upon the First Honeycomb and live. Begone, heathens!'

    Hexthresh has been slain by _____!
    Hexthresh's corpse's final act is swallowing the honeycomb whole.

    Loot the First Honeycomb to complete the task.

    =====================

  • Stop the butterfly slaughter 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: A pack of bixies near the top of the hive has been completely overcome by bloodlust and have started slaughtering all of the butterflies. Once the last butterfly dies, they'll no doubt turn on other bixies. Kill them before they kill the last butterfly.

    If You Get This Step: You will have to defend "a quivering butterfly" from 5x "a butterfly carver". If the butterfly dies, you have to restart the step (takes about 3 minutes for the butterfly to die with little or no intervention). Carvers DPS the butterfly as long as they are in melee range of it (regardless of who's actually tanking them). Until a carver reaches 50%, it cannot be pulled away from the butterfly. After a carver passes 50% health and if you have enough aggro, it will follow you. If you have enough DPS, you can just burn through this event. If you lack in DPS, you will probably have to try pulling them away from the butterfly. Kill all five carvers to complete the task.

    =====================

  • Kill Kralynisia, the war alchemist 0/1 (Bixie Warfront)

    Task Window Says: ?

    If You Get This Step: Kill Kralynisia (has ~11 million hitpoints; casts "Crazy Juices" and "Scalding Oil"). Kill her to complete the task.

    Crazy Juice: Self 0', Unresistable (0)
    1: Increase Attack Speed by 100%
    2: Add Proc: Stunny Honey rate mod 10

    Scalding Oil: Single Target, Unresistable (0)
    1: Decrease Spell Haste by 20%
    2: Inhibit Melee Attacks by (20%)
    3: Decrease Hitpoints by 1000 per tick

    Thought I would be sneaky/lazy and try to give the 100p to one guard over and over, but no such luck, need to be 8 different guards.

    Watch out for when you go up the round ramps for Step 5. If there are mobs for step 6 on the balconies, you will agro them and they will pull everything in their path as a nice train down on your head. Take the side of the ramp up that does *not* have mobs on the balconies to be safe

    A bixie guardian, which conned yellow to a 77 dropped a Featherlight Signet of Wind https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=71909 . I'm not sure how the adventure levels are assigned. It was acquired by a group of 77s so not sure if that means the adventure was level 75 or 80.

    My level 75 group got to the quivering butterfly stage with no problems whatsoever. However, when we agro'd the carvers the butterfly would die in less than 5 seconds. We tried several of the tactics suggested but no matter what we tried, the butterfly died before we could do much of anything at all. This encounter was on 03/24/18.

    in case anyone was worried, this is now fixed. the butterfly does take damage, but you've got a few minutes before it dies. you can dps the mobs attacking it one at a time and you should make it fairly easily.

    I'm sorry it is not fixed at all, at level 91 the butterfly dies in app. 45 secs. Rune-ing or mezzing makes no difference, even with all 5 carvers mezzed, the butterfly still takes the same amount of damage, app 6-7% per round. had to quit HA on the last step.. so annoying >.< encounter on 11/27/2018

    So it can be buffed, that means it can be healed too right?

    Can definitely be buffed, but did not receive healing. Did it at 85~ and the surrounding mobs were only hitting it for about 500, but "a quivering butterfly" was losing 20% HP per round of attacks (roughly 20 seconds from start to death).

    Jonnagon the dreamer has about 5.6 - 6 million hp.
    Krittly the crusher about 3.5 million.
    you can debate the philosophers. if you answer correctly they update and fade away. failure to follow the philosophical discussion properly and they attack.

    You say, 'Hail, a realist philosopher'
    a realist philosopher says 'Look at all these pandering fools, Dragorn. Pompous enough to think they have [all the answers] to all of life's [problems].'
    You say, 'all the answers'
    a realist philosopher says 'As if judging the actions of an entire nation is as simple as saying that it's wrong to [steal a honeycomb] or that I would always [defend my family] in a crisis.'
    You say, 'steal a honeycomb'
    a realist philosopher says 'Yes, it's wrong for me to steal a honeycomb from my neighbor. I don't think anyone would [contest] that. But that doesn't mean it's inherently wrong for a hive of bixies to [redistribute] resources in a way that benefits the whole.'
    You say, 'contest'
    a realist philosopher looks at you curiously, 'I can see this'll be an interesting debate. You believe stealing is moral? Do you believe it is your [strength] or your [need] that justifies it?'
    You say, 'need'
    a realist philosopher says 'But how can you be sure that your need is greater than the one you stole from? What if [you are wrong] and you leave another vulnerable?'
    You say, 'you are wrong'
    a realist philosopher says 'I can see I'm getting nowhere with you. Farewell.'

    AND

    You say, 'Hail, a political philosopher'
    a political philosopher says 'Tell me, Dragorn. Do you [contest] that war is the primary instrument of the state to create [order] out of chaos?'
    You say, 'order'
    a political philosopher leans right into your face with an aggressive posture, 'So you agree that when war is used by the government, it is a [rational] act worthy of [honor], [praise], and [glory]?'
    You say, 'rational'
    a political philosopher says 'Then repeat after me: [I will never protest any war ever for any reason].'
    You say, 'I will never protest any war ever for any reason'
    a political philosopher says 'Now say [bixies rule].'
    You say, 'bixies rule'
    a political philosopher says 'Now say [dragons are the worst and must be destroyed].'
    You say, 'dragons are the worst and must be destroyed'
    a political philosopher says 'Now say [drakkin are probably just as bad and their hair is confusing].'
    You say, 'drakkin are probably just as bad and their hair is confusing'
    a political philosopher slaps you on the back with enough force to slide you forward a few paces, 'Good work, Dragorn. You'll do well here.'

    AND

    You say, 'Hail, a Hadrianist philosopher'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'Do you know why you haven't [attacked] me, like you killed the others outside?'
    You say, 'attacked'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'Because I have this [big sword], and because you believe I have [allies] in this hall.'
    You say, 'big sword'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'My sword is bigger than yours, and my arms are much [stronger] than those puny things you call appendages.'
    You say, 'stronger'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'We know that peace is the condition under which Norrathians were meant to flourish. Yet peace does not exist of its own will. It [depends on us], on our courage to build it and [guard it] and pass it on to future generations. '
    You say, 'guard it'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'We cannot guard anything if we are weak. First we must [build] the peace, and then our strength will [preserve] it.'
    You say, 'preserve'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'There are [evil groups] out there that will not stand for peace. We must remain strong so that we can be vigilant guards of the peace this world will have earned. Will you help me [protect] it?'
    You say, 'protect'
    a Hadrianist philosopher says 'Good. Let us begin our campaign of demoralization immediately. Make them afraid to even look us in the eye!'

    AND

    You say, 'Hail, an eschatological philosopher'
    an eschatological philosopher says 'I'm glad you're here, Dragorn. [Your people] know much of war. Perhaps you can tell me a [lesson] you've learned along the way.'
    You say, 'Your people'
    an eschatological philosopher says 'Right now, our wars may be separate, but it won't always be that way. Some day, the [final war] will [unite all species] into one, harmonious, honey-eating family.'
    You say, 'final war'
    an eschatological philosopher says 'Well, yes. I assumed you believed the same: that we're [working towards] a final objective. Or is your violence just [random] selfishness?'
    You say, 'working towards'
    an eschatological philosopher says 'Yes, some people here,' the philosopher pauses to glare at a nearby bixie, 'believe that war is just a blight on our people. Something to be endured. But we know better, you and I. War is a path, and it is leading to [bliss], not [damnation].'
    You say, 'bliss'
    an eschatological philosopher says 'I look forward to working toward that goal with you, Dowwan. Take care, and fight well.'

    AND

    You say, 'Hail, an ethnocentric philosopher'
    an ethnocentric philosopher sighs and looks at you with a [sad] expression.
    You say, 'sad'
    an ethnocentric philosopher says 'Why shouldn't I be sad, Dragorn? My [people] are doomed to a life of [war].'
    You say, 'people'
    an ethnocentric philosopher says 'The bixies are a chosen people--chosen to [suffer] for generations, with no [escape].'
    You say, 'escape'
    an ethnocentric philosopher says 'It is not the duty of one to question the will of the divine honey-maker. We simply accept our role as the sufferers of Norrath. We will bear our burden with honor. I hope you do the same.'

    I was unable to work out the discussion with Jonnagon without getting attacked.

    Actually, you don't need to have the full conversation, just the key word at the end.
    Once you have one type of philosopher sussed, just repeat the last word to all other instances of the same.
    Eg for the Hadrianist philosophers, just say "protect".

    The carvers don't hit too hard so if you have a bard in your group its easy - bard with lure of sirens song - lure them at the start a ways away and then it will refresh by time butterfly is down to 50pct or so - lure them again into the hall or just farther away and they will be out of range to kill the butterfly - then just whittle them down.

    In stop the butterfly slaughter the butterfly is dying on me in about 30-40 seconds, so that with full burn you can still not clear more than 1 carver before he dies. Is anyone else having this issue (4/2/14)?

    the creepily violent books .. there are 10 ground spawns, each time you pick one up .. you get an add ... the raving writer yells but doesn't seem to auto-aggro, recommend you go get him, all the rest auto-aggro and come running for you.

    the a book slappers WILD RAMPAGE. Annoying. All spawn are dark blue to 100 with about 4m hp.

    Acquire royal guard-stamped passes 0/10
    --- Kill honey-addicted guards until you've collected enough passes

    Our task window shows 0/8

    You don't need to kill the guards. Go through the dialog selecting [want] and you can pay 100pp. If time is of the essence, this is faster than killing.
