For the Swordfishermaid Slayer quest the sirens have a larger aggro radius and there's 2 main spawn spots you could AFK with a pet class or Merc Tank set to aggressive. /loc 2729, 3936 for example is one main spot. But there are many all over the Island you will find them around the little lakes everywhere. If you ran around to all the lakes probably could get 5,000 in a day.

Rivervale and kill Trout's. They spawn endless flow for a level 125 toon!
this was an excellent spot do wrap it up. i didnt time most of it but i got my last 250 kills in 18 minutes. just spamming /pet attack a_trout getting about 14 kills a minute.

Combine.. Shark event... NoN stop repops of sharks fast respawning.

Don't know if its the best spot, but I can confirm that yea, those sharks will chain spawn forever.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned this zone. Kedge everywhere.

If you're doing this achievement on a TLP and you don't want to wait years to be high enough level or for the other suggested zones to activate, an easy way to get 5000 fish is to sit in the lake on the north end of Rivervale. It is chock full of level 1 trout and the occasional level 4 piranha (and the quest fish Chomper) that respawn nearly instantly and swim in a figure-8 pattern between the two large pools and under the bridge. You might accidentally kill the young halfling that sits close to the edge of the lake a few times, but the faction hit is very miniscule and more than worth it for the ridiculously easy volume of kills you can rack up at a low level without running all the way out to Kedge Keep or Sirens' Grotto.
Definitely the place to do this.
A ranger's life is truely to solo these worlds.

Goru`kar Mesa is an ok spot to do this in. There are lots of potamides that spawn there.

The best place is Sirens Grotto. It is much better than kedge keep.
You can park in the sirens castle or better just run around and agro all the tunnels of neriads, swordfish, sirens, and seahorses.

Probably not the best choice, but there are three sailfins in the Undertow Room @ Kedge Keep with an instant re-spawn. You can get a lot in no time.

Love instant respawn mobs, plus the bonus of going to an old school zone. Unfortunately, undertow room in KK did not have the 3 insta spawn sailfins, rather 3 seahorses (also non-insta respawn). I will go to the shark spot for quest 'What Hate Begets' (did progression) and recall having 4 or six sharks on me at basically all times for this achievement.
Instant Spawn. I don't know how you can go wrong here if you are high enough level to one swat them.

in combine dredge (yeah you need to do progression to be flagged). There is a task called What Hate Begets. I am not sure you actually need to have the task active to respawn sharks, but there is a pool in the south eastern area with like 20 sharks that spawn every 60 seconds.
In Buried Sea, head NW to Maiden's Grave.
Loads of Sirens there, KOS agro to all levels.
A good spot to sit while you go for a fine koffee is 2568,4304. There's 5 in agro range. 5 minute spawns.

With 5K kills this is best done with a tank merc (or pet if a pet class).
I tried Water, Kedge and Grotto -- but ended up in the Buried Sea on the Siren island. Worked great.

My main is a druid, I box a bard.
I bound near Thalassius, the Coral Keep, in Katta.
Zone in, mostly clear, then hit CS and Sirens, then PoK-PoT-Plane of Water, clear.
Rinse repeat. I could have stayed in one of the zones and caught respawns but for sake of sanity I'd move around.
