A Desperate Summoning

This is a solo task that begins with Shamptan the Summoner (map) in the Breeding Grounds at location 1175, 185, -39 (in the archway that opens up into the northern-most part of the zone). Pre-Requisites: - Level 85 - No tasks You say, 'Hail, Shamptan the summoner' Shamptan the summoner's bones rattle as they move, suspended in the air in the shape of a dragon. It turns its empty eye sockets to you and speaks without moving its jaw, 'These [new] black dragons shouldn't be here. Just like [you].' You say, 'What new dragons?' Shamptan the summoner says 'For countless years, our kind has used this mausoleum as a final resting place, a proper closing to the long chapters of dragon life. The flamewings, the icewings, they've earned their place here. But this [dark brood] are interlopers, assaulting our sacred grounds and feeding on the energies of our dead. This is not right, it must be [dealt with].' You say, 'What do you mean, you?' Shamptan the summoner says 'Me? I've been here since the beginning, _____, and I earned my rest. But it is my job to keep guard over this masoleum and I will not stand idly by while these [usurpers] vandalize our home.' You say, 'Usurpers?' Shamptan the summoner says 'For countless years, our kind has used this mausoleum as a final resting place, a proper closing to the long chapters of dragon life. The flamewings, the icewings, they've earned their place here. But this [dark brood] are interlopers, assaulting our sacred grounds and feeding on the energies of our dead. This is not right, it must be [dealt with].' You say, 'Dealt with?' Shamptan the summoner says 'The dragons that created this masoleum were wise. They knew we would eventually be discovered here and they ensured [safety measures] were in place to protect it.' You say, 'What safety measures?' Shamptan the summoner says 'Ancient guardian dragons can be summoned to cleanse the mausoleum in times of trouble. I will need your [help], however, as I cannot move if I want to [remain unseen].' You say, 'Dark brood?' Shamptan the summoner says 'I don't know where they came from, and I don't care. They must be [eliminated].' You say, 'Eliminated?' Shamptan the summoner says 'The dragons that created this masoleum were wise. They knew we would eventually be discovered here and they ensured [safety measures] were in place to protect it.' You say, 'Remain unseen?' Shamptan the summoner says 'Inside this rune circle, I'm able to reveal myself to whoever I please. Outside of it, though, I'd be immediately spotted, and no doubt killed by the fearwings. Now, will you [help] me?' You say, 'I will help' Shamptan the summoner says 'Good. I'm sure the medallion we need is in one of the treasure piles around the center pillar of this room. Search the bins filled with gold until you find a medallion with a white crystal in it. ' You have been assigned the task 'A Desperate Summoning'. The dragon mausoleum has been overrun by a corrupted brood of dragons called the fearwings. You found an animated dragon skeleton that claims to know a way to summon ancient guardians to cleanse the dragons' resting place. Find the amulet 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Task Window Says: Search the treasure piles around the pillar in the center of the room for a crystal amulet. North of Shamptan, around the pillar in the center, are boxes of treasure. Click on them until you get an update and emote. A chill runs up your arm as your fingers grip the amulet at the bottom of the bag and pull it out. Ask Shamptan what to do with the amulet 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) You say, 'Hail, Shamptan the summoner' Shamptan the summoner says 'I'm glad you found it so quickly. Now, hold the amulet out and I will prepare it.' A soft glowing light begins to pulsate inside the amulets crystal when you hold it out. 'The first part of the summoning ritual is [unsavory]. But it is important. You must [promise] me that you do it.' You say, 'I promise...' Shamptan the summoner says 'The amulet must be powered with the essence of youth from all four dragon broods. You must find a young ashwing, scalewing, flamewing, and icewing, [kill them], and absorb their power into the amulet.' You say, 'Unsavory?' Shamptan the summoner says 'The dragons wanted to ensure that this summoning would not be pursued lightly, so they placed a heavy price on it: a sacrifice of [their young].' You say, 'Their young?' Shamptan the summoner says 'The amulet must be powered with the essence of youth from all four dragon broods. You must find a young ashwing, scalewing, flamewing, and icewing, [kill them], and absorb their power into the amulet.' You say, 'Kill them?' Shamptan the summoner says 'It's not pleasant business, but someone must do it. To save the others.' Essence of a young flamewing absorbed 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Essence of a young ashwing absorbed 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Essence of a young icewing absorbed 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Essence of a young scalewing absorbed 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Task Window Says: Take the empowered amulet and absorb the essence from each of the four broods. Find a young flamewing near the mausoleum and kill it to absorb its essence. Kill a young ashwing near the mausoleum to absorb its essence into the amulet. Kill a young icewing in the egg chamber to the west and absorb its essence into the amulet. Kill a young scalewing in the icy egg chamber and absorb its essence into the amulet. You may need to step on the eggs to lure the young out of hiding. Note: The "young" spawns can be triggered in the "egg" rooms in the different parts of the zone. Upon triggering a spawn, you get two mobs which auto-aggro (even through invis). Bring the empowered amulet back to Shamptan the Summoner 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Kill a young fearwing in the mausoleum 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Fearwings are found in the same area as the treasure updates earlier. Kill a phase spider in the north tunnels 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) These are found in the tunnels extending from the treasure room. Kill the elder fearwing guarding the dragon statue 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Place the amulet on the dragon statue 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) When you do this, you see the following in yellow: The amulet fits into the round indentation at the top of the dragon statue. A dark beam shoots out from the front of it and a large, black dragon appears in the sky. Instead of a guardian, a massive fearwing dragon is summoned by the amulet. It flickers, seeming to shift in and out of existence as it looks down around the room with an evil glint in its eye. After a brief moment it bares its massive teeth and grunts, 'Fear this day, pathetic dragons of Norrath. The fearwings have come to undo you.' The massive dragon laughs as it phases out of this plane and begins its genocidal hunt. Find Shamptan 0/1 (The Breeding Grounds) Shamptan the summoner has slipped into the shadows without a trace. Without him, you have no idea how to stop the Fearwing Hunter before it can terrorize the dragons that call this home. Shamptan the Summoner disappears, and this task is not repeatable. Found the amulet went back to Shamptan (invised) hailed , nothing. took off my invis and hailed him got nothing said kill them,got nothing. said promise,got nothing. then got agro a large dragon hit cleric invulnerbility camped came back and gated. So what did I wrong?

When you click the amulet, the following text appears in Yellow.
The amulet fits into the round indentation at the top of the dragon statue. A dark beam shoots out from the front of it and a large, black dragon appears in the sky.
Instead of a guardian, a massive fearwing dragon is summoned by the amulet. It flickers, seeming to shift in and out of existence as it looks down around the room with an evil glint in its eye. After a brief moment it bares its massive teeth and grunts, 'Fear this day, pathetic dragons of Norrath. The fearwings have come to undo you.'
The massive dragon laughs as it phases out of this plane and begins its genocidal hunt.
