This quest begins with Toala Nehron in East Freeport. She's found in the halls north of the arena (same room as the Sullon Zek statue).

You say, 'Hail, Toala Nehron'

Toala Nehron says 'I am Toala Nehron. You must be another young warrior aspiring to join the ranks of the Steel Warriors. We welcome all who would try. When you [have time], there is a friend of mine I would like you to check on.'

You say, 'I have time.'

Toala Nehron says 'I have a friend by the name of Lenka Stoutheart. She reported to me that her ship was broken into and someone stole a pouch of hers. Could you go look into it for me? Just tell her Toala sent you. Oh, and pay no mind to the walking mountain by her. That will only be Bronto, her navigator. Thanks, friend.'

Find Lenka Stoutheart in a tavern in the south part of the docks.

You say, 'Hail, Lenka Stoutheart'

Lenka Stoutheart says 'Hi, kid! You seem to be a stranger in these parts. Heed my words, this city is dangerous to new blood!'

Bronto Thudfoot says 'You said it, boss! Stay clear of taking sides and you should be just fine, young one .'

You say, 'Toala sent me'

Lenka Stoutheart says 'She does not even have the courtesy to come herself. Some old friend!! Listen, some rogue in this city broke into the [Beast] and stole a pouch containing a voucher ticket for a part I need to repair the Beast. I can't get the part back without the ticket. I did not see the rogue. I did not sleep on the Beast that night. Bronto was there. Ask him if he saw the rogue.'

You say, 'What is the Beast?'

Lenka Stoutheart says 'You're joking, right? You have never heard of the Blue Beast?!! She is the fastest ship in Norrath. She made the [Kunark run] in under three weeks. She was designed by [Bronto].'

You say, 'What Kunark run?'

Lenka Stoutheart says 'The Kunark run is the most dangerous run between Freeport and [Firiona Vie], in Kunark. If the seas don't rip your hull to splinters and the pirates and sea wyrms don't kill you, you can make a quick run back and forth, avoiding any unwanted inspections.'

You say, 'What about Firiona Vie?'

Lenka Stoutheart says 'Firiona Vie is an elven outpost on the continent of Kunark. Every so often I run supplies to and from there. Do not even think about asking me to take you there. It will be months before I can make improvements on the Blue Beast to make it impervious to aerial attacks.'

You say, 'Did you see the rogue?'

Bronto Thudfoot says 'I had quite a bit of grog that night and it was very dark. What I do remember was seeing a tall woman in a dress run from the docks. She sort of smelled, too. Like fish. I know it was the docks, but this woman had a real stench to her. Like dried fish baking in the sun. That is all I remember. It was too dark to see anything but her [silhouette].'

You say, 'Her silhouette?'

Bronto Thudfoot says 'Yeah!! The silhouette looked like a very brawny woman. It had to be a woman. The silhouette was surely that of one with a short skirt and long hair.'

This description matches that of a fisherman named Brunar Rankin.

You say, 'Hail, Brunar Rankin'

Brunar Rankin says 'How are you? Please excuse my stench. I fish all day and night just to feed my large family. You look like an adventurer. That must be exciting. I am but a humble fisherman. Maybe someday we shall both be rich. You by your treasures and me by my catch.'

You say, 'What did you steal from Lenka?'

Brunar Rankin says 'How dare you accuse me of being a thief!? I labor hour after hour trying to catch one fish which will bring me one copper piece to buy one slice of bread which I will split into five pieces to feed me, my sick wife and three little children, one of whom has the plague!! Poor little Repi. Now please, leave this humble little fisherman alone!'

If you stay with Brunar he eventually goes up into the Seafarers Roost and gives his 'Catch" to Gregor the bartender. If asked about Brunar, Gregor hints that he steals for him. Gregor says he will put the catch down in the storeroom, which by the way leads down to the Thieves guild.

With the revamped Freeport, "L. S. Pouch" is a ground spawn at -375, -915, 2 (on a boat at the central dock). Take this to Lenka and you'll receive either a Snapped Fishing Pole or Moggok's Right Eye.

Lenka Stoutheart says 'You found my pouch ! Thanks, kid! Let me buy you a drink for the good work. Hmmmm. It looks as though they took my voucher. Darn it! ... Hey! It looks like they were using my bag to hold items they were stealing! Here you go. You can have it. It looks like junk.'

With the revamped freeport, all you need to do in order to do this quest is to get the bag from the boat at around -378, -913, 2 at the peer. The spawn on Lenka is still off, so I had to kill the darkelf Scar to get her to spawn during the day. For killing Scar : - Coalition of Tradefolk Underground, -Coalition of Tradefolk, - Carson McCabe, - Currupt Qeynos Guards, - Freeport Militia.
Sneak behind Lenka to turnin the bag, if you dont have the faction yet. It is still + Wolves of the North, +Shaman of Justice, +Merchants of Halas and + Steel Warriors faction. It is about a 10 game hour spawn on the bag which is a 30 min. of real time. This quest does not give you negative faction with Rogues of the White Rose.

Broken with PoR

This quest is apparently broken now, with the Freeport upgrade in the PoR expansion.

Brunar Rankin doesn't leve his new position on the dock. Bronto Thudfoot no longer appears in the bar. There is no storeroom under the Seafarer's Roost.

The rogue guild has moved to be with the Necro and SK guilds. Don't go there! I explored invisible and could not find a L.S. Pouch.

Lenka still appears in the bar, and I am sure she would take a pouch if you can find one. My druid has one, but since it appears to be irreplaceable, it has become a souveneir (much like my Deluxe Sewing Kit).

Also, long ago, the faction hit to Rogues of the White Rose was removed (when all those faction hits were removed from Halas quests).

Try doing the janam and rebby letter quests (you may need a mule for the first few times around) this gets your merchant faction up FAST! my mates Troll SK is now amiable to merchants (but I think still either threatening or dubious to guards
Moggok's Right Eye

I have received Moggok's Right Eye. Does anybody know what it is for. Since it is Lore Item, Magic Item it must be for something.
RE: Moggok's Right Eye
# Oct 22 2001 at 11:55 AM Rating: Decent
I casted Identofy and only came up "Moggok's Right Eye". The gnome merchant in front of West Freeport does mention "Moggok of Oggok" when he mentions who he sold wigs too. And there is the the Stein of Moggok.

I did this quest about 100 times to get my faction up. I recently received Moggok's Right Eye when most of my backpacks were filled with stuff, and the only available space was for tiny items only. What quest is this item for?

Are you sure the person you need to turn the pouch in to is in Fironia Vie now? This is just about the only quest I've found that will get faction for my girlfriend's Iksar Shaman to be able to get into Halas to buy spells.

Lenka and her bodyguard are now in FV. I didn't have the pouch with me, but tried to get her to talk about it, but had no luck. She only mentions something about a drink. So either this quest is broken, or they did away with it, and are using her for a different quest.
RE: Lenka's location

During the day, Lenka and the bodyguard are in East Freeport. At night, they are replaced by Scar and Swiftfingers. I would imagine this is when you could find Lenka in FV.

there's a quest on this site (starting in freeport) where you're supposed to give a cyclops eye to an npc. maybe "Mogguk's right eye" is the eye needed for this quest!!!!! if this sounds stupid please don't flame me, but I'm gonna try this. tell you if it works.
RE: maybe........
# Jan 31 2004 at 10:08 PM Rating: Decent
That's a necro turn-in quest, what for, exactly, I don't remember, but I do know that it needs "a cyclops eye", not this Right Eye of Moggok, nor any other kind of eyeball, to complete.

The correct eye drops from cyclopi in a number of zones on Norrath; Most cyclopi being 20-30s in level, so not terribly hard to acquire one. Also find them on vendors frequently, as people hunting RM sell them off for a handful of silvers.

The factions for Giving Lenka the pouch are now..

+Merchants of Halas
+Shamen of Justice
+Steel Warriors
+Wolves of the North

It no longer damages RoguesOfWhiteRose faction.

As a side note, I don't recomend giving the broken fishing pole to Olunea Milton.(unless you need a free fishing pole)

The Janam & Rebby letter quests are better for increasing FreeportMilitia faction as not only increase these, but both Freeport merchant factions, CorruptQeynosGuard, and CarsonMcCabe as well without any negative faction hits.
What about...

I have done this quest many times with different characters (it's great to raise faction with freeport militia, if you follow up with the snapped pole and you get a fishing rod which can be sold for a gold so good for newbie cash too.), and your faction with the rogues of the white rose does not go down by doing this quest.

Take pouch to Lenka Stoutheart in the Tavern above rogues guild.

Get snapped pole. Give pole to Oluena Miltin on the dock.

Recieved Fishing Pole.

I also got a Moggok's Right Eye Lore No Drop. I wonder what it is for? I didn't get it until I had done the quest a few times. I do it along with the Rebby rogue quests I figure I might as well get my halas faction up food there costs way too much money.

You need to go into the rogues guild. 1)go under the dock where the Brunar is & enter the door there. 2) the entrance to the guild is hidden under the stairs (in the room) thru the wall 3) after going thru wall there will be a stairs & door 4) go thru door & turn right, you will be facing another door on the right side of the door against the wall you should see boxes & barrels 5) look between the box & barrel there should be a pouch there if not then try laters.
What pouch???
# Jul 19 2000 at 9:18 AM Rating: Default
I've tried this bloody thing a number of times, and the pouch never seems to drop. Where *exactly* are you supposed to be able to find it, and when? Is there a triggering event that's just not happening?
RE: What pouch???
# Sep 06 2000 at 7:18 PM Rating: Decent
I found it by accident. However, I don't think it's in the room with stairs up to Freeport, it's in the room behind the secret wall. I just saw a bag-looking thing sitting there so I grabbed it. Unfortunately, I can't complete the quest since I am a DE SK and Bronto at least would like to stomp me flat. (Because of this /con, I've never been able to get far enough in to see Lenka.) :(

The bag is not always there, especially if someone has grabbed it before you. I have done the quest many times with satisfactory results, but I only do it for faction adjustment. You can also get the pouch by killing the poor fool yourself. The pouch can be found by the barrels in the room above the rogue guild just as described in the above notes.
