This solo task begins with Seamus Greendream in Sanctum Somnium. He's a leprechaun found in the southern part of the treasure halls.
You say, 'Hail, Seamus Greendream' Seamus Greendream says 'Me gold! Someone took me pot of gold! Was it you? No, you are not crafty enough to find me gold. We must find the culprit and get me pot of gold [back]!' You say, 'Back from...?' Seamus Greendream says 'Now I remember! I was having a wee bit of mead the other day, when a dirty beggar came up and asked me for some change. I told him no of course, and he got a bit irate. Next thing I know, I wake up with a bit of a headache and me pot of gold was gone! I bet that [beggar] took me gold when I was passed out from drinking too much mead!' You say, 'A beggar?' Seamus Greendream says 'He was a real crazy fellow. You have to [find] him and get me gold!' You have been assigned the task 'Me Gold!'. Seamus Greendream has had his pot of gold stolen. He believes one of the mad beggars in Sanctum Somnium took it. Find Seamus' pot of gold and return it to him 0/1 (Sanctum Somnium) These drop commonly from mad beggars (in the undead halls as well as the ruined village) and deranged beggars (only in the ruined village). There are eight different versions of "A Pot of Gold" and only one of them will work for the turn-in. They are lore, so you can loot a bunch of them before attempting a turn-in. Upon a failed turn-in: Seamus Greendream says 'This isn't my gold? That beggar must have stolen this from someone else!' Upon a successful turn-in: Seamus Greendream says 'Yes! Me gold! Thank you!' Speak with Seamus 0/1 (Sanctum Somnium) You say, 'Hail, Seamus Greendream' Seamus Greendream says 'You have done well. I don't normally give mortals anything, but you can have this since you helped me out.' The correct pot to turn in is the one that ends in: 7441FB75A. Check by using this command in game: ;<link item>
The correct pot of gold has item ID: 56691, which means it's this one.
Download, install and run the Item collector and you'll see the item code each time you loot, and save yourself a bunch of time! Alternatively you can run this command from within the game:
Then navigate to your EQ folder from within Windows and find the file named YOURNAME-Inventory.txt (where YOURNAME is your character's name). Finally search the text for the number 56691 - if you don't get any results, then you haven't looted it yet. So basically, run th eItem Collector - it's easier and better for Alla!
