This raid expedition begins with Grif Iceblock at the zone-in of the Convorteum.
Pre-requisites for requesting this raid:
- Completed raids "A Cunning Plan", "The Fungal Corruption", and "An Audience with Brell Serilis".
- Completed the Convorteum mini-raid "The First Corruption" and its pre-requisites. - This is no longer needed to request this raid.
Pre-requisites for participating in this raid:
- Must have access to the Convorteum zone through group progression.
- Must have completed the "Audience with Brell Serilis" raid.
You say, 'Hail, Grif Iceblock'
Grif Iceblock says 'Ah, you outsiders have travelled far. For a while I was surprised, now I'm just concerned. But perhaps your presence here is a good thing. If you've gotten this far then you've heard of the [First Creation] and you probably know something about what he's been up to. I'm here as part of a small group of loyalist that are trying to fight back. His [subtle assault] on Brell has not gone unnoticed and needs to be stopped.'
You say, 'What is the First Creation?'
Grif Iceblock says 'He was the first of Brell's creations. Certainly his physical form is not lovely, but it is extremely functional. His strength and power are tremendous. His magical skills unparalleled by any other than the great maker. Up until now he was honored for that. But this no longer appears to be enough for him. His [subtle assault] on the realm began long ago. He has been turning folks away from Brell by teaching them that the individual is more important than the society, so much so that if society asks anything of them that they do not want to give, they will attempt to destroy society.'
You say, 'A subtle assault?'
Grif Iceblock says 'His philosophy of self has eroded our lives. It has lead to the chaos you have seen in our realm. Few of the people of the Underfoot see it for what it truly is simply because we are a people who work for the greater good. Most of us work to make things better and tend to keep our heads down and backs working. But those of us that are from the upworld have seen treachery in many forms. A small group of my kin have chosen to do something to stop the First, but to do so we need help. I know that many of you topsiders have massive organizations of adventurers, groups practiced in tackling big issues. If you know of one, please let them know that we need their [help].'
You say, 'How can we help?'
Grif Iceblock says 'My kin are hidden, awaiting a group of adventurers to breach the pyramid. If you can do that, they will assist you if they can. Their task will be to gather as much information about the First Creation's plans to bring to others should you fail to defeat him. If at all possible we would like for you to defeat the First Creation and end this madness. I can send you on your way if you have a big enough force and are [willing] to help.'
You say, 'We are willing!'

Grif Iceblock says 'I'm sorry, _____. I just can't trust ya. There may be something you can do about that. I hear that some of you folks have spoken with Brell. Perhaps if you do that I might be able to trust you.'
With pre-requisites:
Grif Iceblock says 'Wonderful! I can transport you to the staging area when you are [ready].'
