This task begins with Chief Librarian Lars in Katta Castrum. You need faction with Combine Empire Merchants in order to request it from him (possibly as high as ally).

Its in a room with cushions on the floor, to the far north of the entrance. It looks like a scroll. Respawn time is about 5 minutes. Collect 1 History of the Combine 0/1 (Zhisza, the Shissar Sanctuary) The Combine History is on the second floor. At the top of the ramp to 2nd floor, keep left til you hit a dead end. It looks like a book standing on end. Respawn time is about 5 minutes. Loot five Illegible Combine Tomes 0/5 (Zhisza, the Shissar Sanctuary) Deliver 1 Treatise on Teleportion to Chief Librarian Lars 0/1 (Katta Castrum) Deliver 1 History of the Combine to Chief Librarian Lars 0/1 (Katta Castrum) Deliver 5 Illegible Combine Tomes to Chief Librarian Lars 0/1 (Katta Castrum) The first book is a ground spawn inside the pyramid, second floor: On the second floor, follow the hall, stay left to the dead end. The second book is a ground spawn inside the pyramid, fist floor: Basically north and then east, in the middle of the room. I got this quest today at Amiable faction with Combine Empire Merchants.
On a side note, the Chief Librarian was at Apprehensive faction at the time so he's not even on Combine Empire Merchants faction.

Hi all! Here's a map update noting the two ground spawn locations. Add the following to either your "zhisza_1" or "zhisza_2" map files. It does not matter which one though I like to keep map labels in the "_2" files.
