He stands on top of the northmost hill of the valley with Ortallius who he is just north of. Cazel roams the area and stops at the opening of said valley.
His location is midway of the southern section of South Ro along the west wall.

You do not look like a traveling merchant or a lost adventurer. Someone has sent you to Rathmana. Well then, let's not waste time. Give me the item, or items, and my fee of twenty gold coins. It must be gold. I have no use for any other metals.' You say, 'I am traveling' Rathmana Allin says 'Oh, wonderful! Then you must need water and rations for your long journey. Be sure to approach any camp you may find in Ro with caution. There are many bandits in the desert. If it were not for [Ortallius], they would have gutted me and thieved all my merchandise by now. If you have any use of magic then I believe I may have an [offer] for you.' You say, 'What offer?' took about 1400pp and 4 hours. went from -800 something to 500+ (kindly) ... well worth it to fix my faction in the temple of soulsek, for a turn in for cleric 1.0 epic. It is waaay better then killing shadowed men. Have lots and lots of space open in your bags... you can sell him the spells he gives you (he is also a merchant) and destroy the scrolls. I ws able o give him 3pp... although his asks for 30 gold ... goodluck!
instead of carrying a ton of gold on you (that will make you stuck if you lose sow or any speed buff), just carry plat. give 3 at a time to Rathmana

I went to do part of my epic when someone in my group who was KOS to Temple of Soulesk Ro got agro and I healed them. Well 8 kills later I went from having good faction (not sure what it was before) to being KOS. I couldn't finish my epic til I got my faction up. I killed the shadowedmen and I gave money. I spent about 1300pp (and killed about that many shadowedmen) and I'm now amiably. Getting out of KOS was HARD and TIME CONSUMING! But once I was threateningly, it was no time til I was amiably. In fact, I bet I spent 1150pp just in KOS and then the other 150pp got me to amiably. If you have the money, I say this is the easier way to go. Those shadowedmen aren't tough, but a lot more time consuming then throwing pp away.
You can test your Temple faction simply by /con'ing Rathmana or Ortillius. They appear to be on the same faction.

I have been working on improving faction with Temple of Ro for weeks. I am a 33 Ranger trying to get the last few pieces of my Ivy Etched Armor (boots specifically here). I have tried killing Shadowmen, turning in the rings to Orctullis and paying off the guy in the tent behind Orctullus (rathmana?). I have gone from indifferent to amiable to kindly. But try as I might I can't get to warmly. My understanding is that I need to get to warmly to get the Cauldron of Ro. Is that true? I go hail Lord Searfire and get the same stupid message each time, but nothing about how to get the cauldron. Any secret password to get it?

You only need to be amiable to get the cauldron to combine the stuff into ronium.

The scrolls gotten from Rathmana are "rotting illegible scrolls", which is different from the ones that are to be given to General Jyleel in Felwithe. Therefore, I sincerely doubt that they will be usable to do the quest that he handles, although I haven't taken him one to know this for fact. If I manage to remember, and do so, I will post an edit to this comment, and let everyone know the results.

The 'CHARM' spell you mention is most likely one of the ancient spells or whatever they are calling them. VERY RARE spells that only certain people will obtain. Like only so many shamen (or any casters) will get a certain spell. Their thinking was that if 2 lvl 60 warriors are the same, and ONE gets the best sword. He shows a great deal of difference. They want casters to experience this. They are like... an Ancient or a special spell... I THINK
oh and im not sure why anyone would post a loc on him. He was RIGHT there for me, by the SRO/OASIS entrance. (in SRO of course)

My faction with Temple was max KOS. Last night I spent nearly 500pp doing this quest and am still kos. After that I killed a few shadow men and now am just threat. Maybe this was because I was at max KOS or I assume I was or the faction hit given out for this quest has been "Enhanced"

I did this quest multiple times at lvl 6. Got the 'You gain experience!' message every time, but didn't even gain 1/2 a blue bub (did the quest like 20 times). So don't bother doing this quest unless you need the scrolls or you need ToSR faction.

Oops thats Lozlin.. the gnome in hpk.. he is only there in the day, and at night the room holds a noble. And the Banshee aura is apparently a much lower level necro spell as well...
These things are a mystery to me. They are large face slot items, usable by troll, ogre, barbarian, and the new Vah Shah race. Locslin does not accept these for translation as they are not orc oracle scrolls. Tried it already. They do not go to the general in felwithe either. He wants the illegible scroll, lore, that drops in crushbone. Anybody have an idea?
By the way, about half the scrolls he gave me were rotted illegible, but I also got a Wizard research spell and a 51 level shadowknight spell Banshee Aura, and some scattered enchanter and shaman spells level 1 to 16. Not bad.

OK I tried this and got two rotted illegible scrolls. These are large race face slot items of all things, with no stats, what in the world are they for.
