My Troll Sk is not KoS in Ogguk, but is not consistently liked. I /con dubious to Chef Dooga and she tells me to get lost (is a merchant). She will respond to /hail and give me the HeHe meat text prompts.

I gave her 3 pickled frogloks and 1 platinum (she asks for 10g if you hand in one pickle by itself).

Faction ups from the hand in were: Clurg, Greenblood Knights, Craknek Warriors, and Ogguk Guards.
Faction down to Kazon Stormhammer.

She also said "Here is da ogre butcher apron. Gos and cook." The Butcher apron was actually an upgrade for me (lol).

Done this many times

I am a troll that has done this quest close to 100 times to get the faction needed for the Gatorsmash Maul quest. I still do not have enough faction to complete the quest. I recommend wolfform unless you just enjoy listening to frogs croaking.

Froglok meat is dropped by all froggies inside and outside of Guk with the exception of regular frogloks and undead.
Froglock Fleshies quest
# Jul 03 2001 at 11:27 PM Rating: Default
I tried to bake the ingredients (meat+vinegar+jug of sauces) in an oven but I keep getting a "cannot combine with container type" message. What does that mean? Where can I bake these things together?

first, it isn't froglok fleshies... its "froglok meat"

in an oven combine: 1 froglok meat, 1 vinegar, 1 jug of sauces. this produces 1 pickled froglok

I made some pickled froglocks tonight and that is the correct recepie. Are you maybe using froglok skin, and not froglok meat? Maybe combining in a Kiln or forge? Warning though: it fails on me roughly 30% of the time with 31 skill in baking.

Nevermind the 3 in same baking( misread the top section).

I tried the same recipe ( 3 froglock meats (seperate), vinegar, and jug of sauces combined in Oven), and got the same result - can't combine in this container type. I looked up the recipe on web sight, saw an old recipe and will try this one - (froglock meat, vinegar, and jar). Not sure if this will work, but it did in the past (old system).
Banking Faction? Sure beats a run to Freeport
# Dec 19 2000 at 7:52 PM Rating: Default
One good thing about this quest is the ability to get faction just high enough so that guards "tolerate" you. If they Do, then you as a Lighter race can bank in Ogguk.

First collect all the Froglok meat you can. Next, Get your Baking skill up above 80 (so to avoid destroying the earned meats). Then make stacks of Pickled Frogloks til the meat is exhausted.

Finally, Get to Feerrot and ask druid friend or local wanderer to Wolform you in Ogguk. THis will make all wandering guards and most merchants indifferent to you. BEWARE - The Guild NPC's are "religious' and See thru Wolfform to your true nature. Avoid the guilds! In wolfform get to Dooga and feed away, She will make you much appreciated by all Ogres, depending upon the quantity of pickles you provide.

IF you provide enough pickles, you will shortly be able to wander the main environs of Ogguk as well as feerot unmolested. This can make melee binding without Camo/invis to get past guards even more palatable especially with CT just across the zone. If your provide even more pickles, even the guilds may begin to like you.

The faction downside with Kazon Storm hammer is fixed with the Gunlok Jore bone chip quest in Kaladim.

Does anyone know how MUCH froglok meat you need to give her to make them Amiable?

I've given like, 40 so far, and I'm still only indifferent...

In my experience backpacks full of stacks of pickled froglok will be needed. I'm a halfling druid and I have been doing this quest. I've already turned in several hundred pickled frogloks and I'm still dubious with Clurg which is where I started. I hope to eventually raise my faction with most of the groups in Oggok enough that I will be able to sell, bank and do some of the more interesting quests there. The stein quest is the one which most interests me.

:)

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 12 2000 at 2:48 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think I can speak for everyone on this topic. Please people when you know that someone has been camping for a long time, don't pester them about when they are going to leave. Don't sit down next to them to "wait" until they are done. You might be waiting a long time and then the time it takes for you to complete your camp on top of that. The NPC will always respawn and will always be there. Just ask them kindly if they will send you a tell when they are done and 9 times out of 10 they will. These players are tired from camping that long of a period and quite understandably a little grouchy and become extremely nervous at the thought of someone possibly stealing their kill. So, be courteous.

Troll, Barb, Ogre Druid?

Ok, this is odd; of the classes that can wear this, very few of them are options to these races. There is no such thing as a troll, barbarian, or ogre druid. Or Paladin. Or Monk. Can we say "shtoopid"?

Barb Troll Ogre ??

There is a Ogre monk :) He is part of the epic monk quest..
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 29 2000 at 9:32 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) not monks. Dumb hummie!
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 23 2000 at 2:48 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yup, it's another badly grouped quests. This ones listed under Monks (among others) and I have yet to see a monk that wears large sizes. While a monk could complete the quest, I hardly see why he or she would or should.
RE: Another badly grouped quest.
# Jan 11 2001 at 2:02 AM Rating: Decent
The quest grouping is merely based on the race/class listed on the item. In the early beta, all combinations were allowed, so the item was marked for all large characters that were not Int casters. When the race/class combos were finalized, many items did not get the useless tags removed.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 24 2001 at 1:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) mmmm NO, even in beta there were only human monks... The problem here is that verant has templates, for lack of a more accurate word, that they use for items. They just didn't feel the need to alter the template for leather (which is what this item is based on) to fit an item that was barb, ogre, and troll only. I don't blame them. I mean, High Elves can wear crafted. Wait a tic, no they can't, cause they can't be warriors. Why whine about what race/class combos are listed on an item, why not whine about something creative, like the 3rd Brell Symbol, closer banking options for light races from RM, fixing all the bugs in antonica, kunark, and velious, etc...
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 04 2000 at 9:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok, Dork, it's a faction quest.
