Me teach you to be strong! Wot you think about that? Me teach you to make starting [armor].' You say, 'What armor?' Ogomok says 'Dis be armor only for strong berserker ogres. Me not sure if you are good enough, but we soon find out. If you pass, you get armor. If you fail, you die. Take dis kit. You put stuff in there and combine it to make Strongbear Armor. Wot you want to craft first? I can teach how to make [boots], [leggings], [bracers], [gloves], a [coif], a [gorget], or a [tunic]. Tunic be hardest to make.' You say, 'I want to make the tunic.' Ogomok says 'You tink you can do dis? It be da most diffa. . . Diffikclt. . . Hardest piece to make. If youz tink you ready, youz need ta get one thick grizzly bear skin, two small pieces of ore, two yellow lizard scales, and one bone chips. Mebba youz can find da animal partz out in Feerrott. For da ore, mebbe you can find somewhere here in da city. Once you have all of da itemz, combine dem in your assembly kit and take da Strongbear Tunic Material to a forge, with dis mold to make your new Tunic. When you done wit dat, come back ere and mebbe me have anuder [ting] for you to do. Wot you think about that?' You say, 'What ting?' Ogomok says 'You say you filled with da rage? Me have da rage too. My rage start when my luv, Hooly Bubblegut got killed by nasty basilisks in da Rathe Mountains! Me want revenge!!!' Ogomok's face turns bright red. 'You go to doze mountains and kill basilisks. Me want four basilisk tongues. You bring me dem, and me give you reword.' Bring him four basilisk tongues for your reward. Ogomok says 'You good! You help me much. Me give you dis! Think a person would be better off getting a axe of iron back which is 16 36. Still seems like a easy enough quest to give some faction and exp for a newbie.
And as far as epic mobs in newbie area's, Newbies had to endure cazel in Oasis and still do. While now Oasis isn't hunted really heavily, back in the day there was constantly 50 to 80 people in that zone at a time around levels 13 to 20. Always was nice when a level 51 epic mob with massive regen started after them.

I found they had changed the quest on Test a while back. I have now done the quest on both Test and Live servers
I sent an update and a Picture of the Axe of The Strongbear in the other day. I also cheated a bit. I found the Basilisk Tounges from Lowland Basilisks in Butcherblock worked just as well.
He wants 4 tounges.
The stats are 2HS, 8/46, +1 Str, +1HP, 3 Bane Damage Lizardmen.
Not bad for a free weapon

Don't know if everyone has checked with the guy handing out the quests recently, but I just finished the quest he wanted Basilisk Tounges not drake wings. At least that's the quest I got from him.

I'm still killing these drakes had had them drop nothing more than a little change have never seen a wing, another broken quest. Guess I'll have to send another bug report to them

Anyone tried Ebon Drakes? Wing. They drop Ebon Drake Wings. Maybe the guy is asking for the wrong thing.
I agree with yall. My first zerker was an Ogre (i had like the stats) after countless deaths, and hours of failure with the Ogre, i gave up and switched to my main, an ikky monk. spent another three hours there with a guildee to farm these things.
first off, seems like you got to kill the other drakes to get the Obsidian ones to spawn. None i killed ever had anything on them, not even so much as cp. then i thought it was the named one, no luck there either.
I don't know what is up with this, i understand the concept of rare drops, but this is utterly rediculous.

Yeah the concept of "rare drops" but this is classified as common !!!

As of feb 24 still no wings to be found. And becuse Im playing on the new server theres not alot to chose from in the bazaar:(

I have also killed over 50 of these drakes no with no wings yet.
Not only that - some higher lvl player has kill Zazamoukh and spawned a named drake Rhanza ( closeish) which will aggro and kill. I believe this is for the SHD epic.
Come SOE - allowing an epic kill in an area used for a newbie weapon quest doen't make much sense unless younreally want to annoy your users.

At least you guys found some drakes, I spent 2 hours running around the mountains and didnt even see the first one on Sararyn server. Maybe they havent put them in yet?

Ah, now there I can help you. To find the drakes, you'll want to go to the southwest area in RM, the area where Zazamoukh is located. That is where you will find all of the drakes.

Yeah, I spent forever killing these things, and not a wing to be found. Is this quest broken, perhaps?
