Dar Collector Reokar may be found at -2085, +270.

You'll either need to be the Guktan race or have the illusion and be amiable to Dar Collector Reokar.

    Hail Reokar and he says:

Greetings! Have you anything for me? Don't look at me like that, you know what I mean. Odds and ends from out there in the swamp. Rat parts are fine, and I could always use some freshly caught fish.

He wants 3 different items. He will accept the individual items by themselves. You can turn in stacks as well.
  • Fresh Fish

  • Bone Chips

  • Giant Rat Ears

  • You say, 'Hail, Dar Collector Reokar'

Dar Collector Reokar tilts his head to the side a bit and looks at you for a moment. 'You look like the handy sort, and just the type of person I could use. I collect and study the mutations of the various pests in the area, collecting data on the effects of the environment they live in over a lengthy period of time. This research helps me track patterns and come up with more effective salves and other for our armies. Currently, I'm studying the recent infestation of skeletons. If you could bring me any fragments of bone you may find, I'd appreciate it.'

Upon turn in of any of the items.

Dar Collector Reokar says, 'Ah, yes. This is exactly what I was looking for. I am deeply indebted!'

Dark Elf Necro, used Essence of Gukta potion. He responds to a hail with the dialogue. I am at dubious with the illusion and he won't take bone chips.

If you don't have the illusion (or aren't a Froglok) then have a shammy make this simple 210 potion: Essence of Gukta. I can confirm that this works.
Possibly won't take bone chips from anyone but other Guktans

Only Frogloks and people with Froglok illusions can do this quest, it would seem.

My character is a Barbarian Berserker of Rallos Zek and was Indifferent to all of the factions of Gukta. When I attempted to hand Dar Collector Reokar a bone chip, he said the following:

Dar Collector Reokar says, 'Hmm... There is something about Barbarians I don't exactly trust...'

He handed the bone chip back. So, I used an Essence of Gukta, turned in to a Froglok, and attempted to hand him the bone chip again. This time he took it and I received all of the faction hits listed here. After turning in 2000 bone chips and maxing out my faction with all of Gukta, I dropped the illusion and tried to hand in one bone chip again, and once again, they wouldn't accept it, despite me now conning Ally with them.

The details of this quest seem quite different now. Maybe it's not the same quest at all. He only needs one bone chip, but accepts stacks. I've tried on a number of occasions, and he never requests or accepts items other than bone chips. Amiable faction is not needed. He is on Citizens of Gukta faction; you can't cast Alliance on him but you can cast it on other citizens such as Bibsy Gakdoo.

You have entered The Rathe Mountains.

This quest is still available and viable.
It requires you to simply be a Guktan style froglok; so you need either a potion, unlimited clicky, or projecting illusion enchanter to turn you into a Guktan froglok ( Spell: Illusion: Guktan. It's lv 52 for enchanters).

Your faction standing with Lorekeepers of Gukta been adjusted by 1.

There are no negative faction hits.
to go from starting faction to Max ally is a total of 2k items ( I used 2k bone chips, and I'm a Cazic Thule worshipping Iksar Monk).
Iksar out of illusion after faction are at warmly btw.

FYI there is currently a bug with Bard Cinda's Charismatic Carillon and the Enchanter Alliance spells that doesn't allow you to cast them on vendors. I have worked around this before by casting on a non-vendor on the same faction, but the Guktan quest guys are not on the same faction of anything I could cast on.

This NPC is still there, next to Zok Giisip (can be found using Find) asking for bone chips.

You can hand in stacks,, but be WARNED. He asks for 4 bone chips, so make sure your stack is in a multiple of 4, or you will lose your 'leftovers'

I was able to do the collection quest at ally faction with my halfling druid by using an Essence of Gukta potion which cast the Illusion Guktan upon me. Evidently Illusion Froglok doesn't work, but Illusion Guktan does if your faction is high enough.

    :)

I'm not sure if ally faction would be required or not (I very much doubt it is, actually), but in Halfling form at ally he just hands the items back to me. Evidently the little flipper-footed amphibian is a bit of a racist.

    :)

By the way, back when the froggies were first inside of Grobb I was able to do this quest in my natural Halfling form. I actually used this quest to get to ally faction with this fellow and to max out most of the other Gukta factions. Evidently they changed this quest somewhere along the way. I have no idea why they would do that or even it the change was intentional, but it was clearly changed.

East Freeport, the building just before the docks. There are 2 merchants at the counter that both sell fresh fish as a normal item.

Went in trying to gain faction with this city also, as I have with all cities. In illusion, I am indifferent, and with lvl 51 alliance series spell, upto amiable. He still wont take any of the items from me, says something like - your intolerable race, leave or I will call the guards. Does he see thru illusion enough to not except the turn in, yet not see thru to attack? Not yet having the illusion frog spell, I cant test this yet.

Doesn't look like Squire Sequince ever reported back, so here's my own experience: They *do* seem to see through the illusion as far as the quest is concerned. This makes it a very disappointing deviation from other quests of this kind. In this case, only people with enough faction not to need to bother with this quest are capable of doing it. Those who are KoS in Gukta, but use every trick in the book (and provided by the game, because why otherwise would there even be an Illusion: Guktan and Alliance, Benevolence & friends spells?) to get around it, are still prevented from raising faction lastingly. Catch 22. Very disappointing, SoE.

Agnostic with religion. Have dubious with guards now from turning in spiderling eyes. about 400 turn ins to get to threaten from scowls, and another 100 turn ins, to get to dubious. But still have scowls with the guild masters.

I got into the zone immediately following a reboot, and the order of items are as follows:
    Giant Rat Ears
    Bone Chips
    Fresh fish

It then starts with the rat ears again.

He takes eight of each item before he requests the next type of item, but If someone has been there recently and only turned in two of the rat ears, then he'll only ask for six of them before asking for bone chips.

Best thing to do is give him one Giant Rat Ear at a time, until he gives it back and says that he doesn't need any more. Then you can go ahead and just start handing in items four at a time, i.e.:
    4 bone chips
    4 bone chips
    4 fresh fish
    4 fresh fish
    4 Giant Rat Ears
    4 Giant Rat ears
    4 Bone chips....etc

Five stacks of each item brought me from Indifferent to Amiable.

Buying out a few vendors in the first qeynos zone, as well as those two in Qey hills, I got around 85 bone chips and 80 giant rat ears for this quest. This was a couple weeks after the last patch I think. I'd estimate all total it took me about an hour.

You can buy the fresh fish right in gukta, of course.

My wood elf druid got to amiable from indiff, then I got tired of clicking and am saving the rest for later. I was still amiable after a bunch more.

Killing the named troll (Rungup or something like that) that spawns in Tox near Paineel also gives you Frogloks of Guk positive faction gain. Don't know the spawn rate. The troll drops a head which is part of a quest found elsewhere.

Kill undead frogloks in guk or kill the frogloks in seb. Either way you will increase faction with Frogloks of Guk, but expect to do it a loooong time... I've heard stories of people levelling 5 levels on the dead side of guk, never killing any living froglok and still be KoS to Frogloks of Guk.

Frogloks of Guk faction is amazing fragile. My Mage needed a drop from Guk as part of his Solusek Ro armours, and one kill took him from dubious (default) to deep into threatening. Thankfully he got his drop on that kill and we gated before we had to kill any more. I'd recommend not attacking ANY live frogs if you ever want to walk safely through Guk :)
