Dalorio is located in the same building as the bank, in the room around the corner with the long table.

You say, 'Hail, Dalorio Blistbobble'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Zonkers! You scared me! Well it is good to meet you nonetheless young Lobracawen. Many young Guardians of the Vale often come to me for guidance. If there is something I can help you with in your training you make sure you let Dalorio know! In the meanwhile I will be working on my [trade].'

You say, 'What trade?'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Well you see Lobracawen, I have been an aspiring blacksmith for quite sometime now. I have spent mostly all of my spare time since I was just a wee whipper snapper like yourself collecting different materials and trying to craft anything and everything of value in our town forge. Blacksmithing has always interested me and that interest is exactly what led to the creation of my [special recipes].'

You say, 'What special recipes?'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Well it's funny that you ask Lobracawen, I have just recently perfected my smithing recipes for Proudfoot Platemail. I would be willing to part with my recipe along with a mold for each piece of this fine platemail to any apprentice willing to [collect the necessary items] to craft it.'

You say, 'I will collect the necessary items.'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'You will eh Lobracawen? I am happy to hear of an upcoming Warrior of the Vale willing to collect the items necessary to craft their own armor. I must admit that you could really use some armor because it can get quite dangerous out in the thicket! Now back to business! To craft your own Proudfoot Platemail you will need my magical assembly kit that you will combine the items I ask you to gather for specific recipes. After you have done this you will use the pattern I give you along with the material you have fashioned and combine it in a forge to yield your armor piece. Now are you [ready to get started]? '

You say, 'I am ready to get started.'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Very well Lobracawen, let's get to it! Here is my personal Platemail assembly kit. Inside this magical assembly kit you will combine certain items collected both from the thicket and our great city of Rivervale. It is my hope that while you progress in your training and through the different armor pieces that you will be able to learn of your surroundings both inside and outside the Vale. If you are ready to start fashioning your items simply tell me what armor piece you [want] to make. I have the recipe for Proudfoot Platemail [Helms], [Bracers], [Armguards], [Boots], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. As a side note, make sure you craft your Breastplate last due to the difficulty of collecting the items for it.

You say, 'I want to make armguards.'

Dalorio Blistbobble says 'Been taking a few too many blows on the arms there Lobracawen? Well I can certainly understand any Halflings need for some armguards. Round up 3 Bricks of Crude Iron Ore, 2 Rat Whiskers, 2 Mossy Rat Pelts and 1 Wolf Meat then combine them in your kit. Once you have made the Proudfoot Armguards Material take it to a forge and combine it together with this mold to fashion your Proudfoot Platemail Armguards.'

Dalorio also seems to be gone from the Drinal server as well. Been searching and had Rangers check track with no luck. Anyone know if the quest is bugged ?

Missing on Tribunal as well... Did a petition about it, Got contacted by a guide and then GM shortly afterwards.. The GM went there and could not find the named fellow or anyone else giving the quest as I had told him.. Basically the GM put in a bug report and asked for all involved to do the same. Tey are not sure if he is stuck somewhere else (like in a wall) or what but they are lookin into it..

Dead Quest?

Is this quest still active on the Seventh Hammer Server?

I went to the town hall, back to the room with the long table, no Dalorio. Found a Marshall Ghobber who gave me a ring quest.

Anybody know if this quest is still available?

Thanks

Do you need to have a specific skill lvl in Blacksmithing to make these?

No, none of the various newbie armor quests require any ranks in tradeskills. The combines always succeed.
What kind of pelts?

So, the pelts that you need for this quest are the "undamaged mossy rat pelts," correct? Or is it just plain "mossy rat pelts?" I tried the quest with undamaged ones, but it says I can't combine the items I put in the container. And yes, I did double and triple check the item names.

Wolf Meat

The wolves in the thicket seem to give "chunk of meat" as oppose to "wolf meat". Is it a specific type of wolf that drops this? (i.e. shadow vs. black) or is it just random?

Killed diseased rats for a couple of hours to get the two mossy rat pelts required for this piece of armor -- got 25 ruined pelts in the process, and probably killed 150 rats... not a common drop, but not as difficult to get as some of the other items.

See alot of newbs sitting around asking for a disease cure, which is a waste of time. I just fought the things until they killed me, then went right back at them. You don't lose experience until level 11, so it's often quicker to cure or regain HP just by dying. Fight them early (lvl 7 or 8) so you can still get experience while killing them, and you should have all your pelts in no time.
Fairly common??!!

I've been camping the diseased rats for 2 days now. All i have for my trouble is a huge loss of platinum - 1 plat is the cost of a cure disease in Rivervale. I have never seen a Mossy Rat Pelt and i have only once come across anyone who has found even one. They seem to be ridiculously rare!
OK Then...

The Armguards are the easier of the parts for this quest (the way I see it anyway). Rat Whiskers and Wolf Meat is fairly straight forward. You'll get your whiskers while farming the Mossy Rat Pelts.

The Crude Iron Bricks (needed for all parts of this quest - 23 all up I think) are dropped by Goblin Warriors in the area outside the wall in Misty Thicket. They may drop elsewhere, I have not bothered to find out.

The Mossy Rat Pelts are the hardest parts for this item, but are fairly common so not too painful to get. They are dropped off Diseased Rats at either of the undead camps to the left and right when you exit Rivervale into Misty Thicket. The camps are fairly big and the rats/skeletons will aggro anyone of any level so take care. You will have to put up with getting a lot of Ruined Mossy Rat Pelts and the occasional Undamaged Mossy Rat Pelt, but all the pelts are tradable, so offer them in /ooc to others that may need them.
