Zimloro's Potion Quest  

So, I had reported the text loop on the tracker, and it looks like it was looked at and fixed. But the text was reworded some by a dev, so I went back and did the quest again to get the new text for you guys.

You will find Zimloro in the "shorty" section of Shadowhaven using the Find option as he is an Alchemy Supplies NPC.

You say, 'Hail, Zimloro Jalobottle'

Zimloro Jalobottle says 'Oi there, _____! If you're lookin' for a potion or an antidote, step right up! I've got just what the doctor ordered. I also have many other special potions for the discerning potion connoisseur, but sadly I do not have the ingredients for them because I lost my last batch in a [tragic lab accident].'

You say, 'I'm afraid to ask, but what happened in this lab accident?'

Zimloro Jalobottle says 'The lab accident? Well, it's a long story that involves a distraction at the wrong time and a fire and suffice to say it all ended in tears... The important thing is, I have the ability to brew magnificent potions and I'm just shy a few [ingredients].'

You say, 'What ingredients do you need?'

Zimloro Jalobottle says 'You sure seem interested in my work, _____. So interested that I'd wager you'd be willing to fetch the ingredients I require for my potions! Am I correct? Will you [retrieve these ingredients] for me?'

You say, 'I'll retrieve the ingredients.'

Zimloro Jalobottle says 'Fantastic, _____! Elefan, my apprentice, is collecting samples in Shadeweaver's Thicket as we speak. If you present him with this list, he should be able to provide you with freshly collected ingredients. Please bring the ingredients back to me as soon as possible!'

He gives you the item Zimloro Ingredient List.

Head to Shadeweaver's Thicket and speak to Elefan who is at approx (0, -3000) next to a large grouping of rocks.

You say, 'Hail, Elefan'

Elefan says 'Hello, _____. It's a pleasure to meet you. I don't get many visitors while I'm working out in the field.'

Give Elefan the Zimloro Ingredient List.

Elefan says 'Ah! Master Zimloro sent you, eh? This note indicates that he wants some specific ingredients. Luckily, I've got several [fresh samples] that I've only recently collected.'

You gain experience!!

You say, 'What fresh samples?'

Elefan says 'Oh, some antidote ingredients that I stumbled upon not long ago. They should meet his needs. Will you be so kind as to [take the antidote ingredients] to Zimloro?'

You say, 'Sure. I'll take the antidote ingredients to Zimloro.'

Elefan says 'Here you go, _____. Please don't waste any time. We don't want them to spoil!'

Return to Zimloro in Shadow Haven.

Zimloro Jalobottle says 'You did it, _____! I can finally finish these potions that I've been working on. I'll tell all of my friends of your willingness to help a stranger in need!'

Your faction standing with House of Stout has been adjusted by 5.
Your faction standing with Traders of the Haven has been adjusted by 1.
You gain experience!!

For some reason, his dialogue now loops after this, and you cannot get the item Zimloro Ingredient List originally stated. But there is a way around this. Head to Shadeweaver's Thicket and speak directly to Elefan who is at approx (0, -3000) next to a large grouping of rocks.

Elefan gives you the Antidote Ingredients, so head back to Zimloro.

For all you who have not read a few of the posts below, the actual location of Elefan is -415,-2575.
This saves you a lot of time running around as I did.

You guys are acting like a bunch of newbs!!! If you are offended then....Case in point!!
This is to help us better understand a quest through others exp and also to offer theory into it...like the Journeyman boots...EVERYONE has "the answer" as to how to get the AC to spawn....WHATEVER!!
The ones that KNOW....tell us.
The ones that think...express it.
The miserable and hateful ones that just want to flame on every idea and every method.....Shut the ++++ up!!

After reading over the description for this quest I think there is a different (or perhaps second?) location for Elefan in Shadeweaver's Thicket. I found him at -405, -2570 on my way out of the tunnels from PC near three large boulders. It was the first time I'd seen him so I hailed him for fun. He gave me the item without my first talking to Zimloro, so obviously it need not be done in order. Also, having PoP makes this quest quite easy. Going back and forth between the Shar Vahl and Nexus stones is much easier and much safer than going through PC.

since one of the last patches, this quest is useless. just do the quest to get the amulet of the haven once and you can buy/sell there. I guess if you want to you can do that quest alot of times so you dont need the amulet, but i had to do it about 7 times before the patch just to buy/sell.

I have done a multitude of these including the barb to gnome (who gives u gems), the trade commish, the 1st part of the mining opeerations, the Fordel to DSP quest, for prolly 200+ faction hits and I have YET to move up ONCE in my faction to the stouts. I'm allied now with the trade commish, but the rest seem to be stuck. This is getting REALLY old. I wasted 4 hours yesterday doing this ****. >(

I've been doing this quest for a few times.. says I'm getting faction but I still con dubious to the traders and they won't trade with me yet. /sigh Maybe since the patch the other day factions are messed up again?

I have been doing the quest without note. I simply hailed Elfen and responded to his comments. He gave me the LORE NO DROP ingredients and I gave them to Zimloro. Then Zimloro gave me the xp and factions. I never knew about the note. I was bound in Shadowhaven before I reached 20 and would leave ingredients in bank. That way if I died I would go to bank and get invis potion and ingredients. Give ingredients to Zimloro and use invis for trip back to shadeweaver thicket.

if i remember rightly, the ingredients are lore. VI seem to have realised people will really want to raise faction and have made it as boring as possible because of the long journeys with lore items. better than nothing though i suppose
