After completing the Tergon's Spellbook quest: Tergon Brenclog says 'You have done well. I did not expect you for weeks. It is good to have my spellbook returned. It was a simple task. Now I have news of a larger matter. It has to do with a [defector].' You say, 'what defector?' Tergon Brenclog says 'It seems a gnome magician by the name of Toko Binlittle has gone and left the guild. He joined forces with the [Pirates of Gunthak]. Find him. He must be destroyed. Our secrets cannot be known. Return his spellbook to me and I shall give you the [Elemental Grimoire].' You say, 'Who are the Pirates of Gunthak?' Tergon Brenclog says 'From what I know, the Pirates of Gunthak are from the southern Gulf of Gunthak. It seems as though a small band of them has been operating in the Ocean of Tears, leagues from their own territory.' Find and kill Toko Binlittle on Cyclops Island in the Ocean of Tears to loot a Teir`Dal Head. You have slain Toko Binlittle! Your faction standing with Pirates of Gunthak has been adjusted by -1. I looked all over Ocean of Tears to find a pirate island, only to realize it is cyclops island. Maybe switch the text to say that, since that is the more common name.

The lil gnome spawns next to Gornit by the shore. He is by 2 huts and 2 other NPC's named Dixl Drool (A Dark Elf) and Capt Surestout (A halfling). Both are allied with the all of them are allied with the pirates so be careful not to Aggro Gornit.

Make sure you have good gnome faction too. If you turn in the haed with average faction he will not give it back to you, and you will not get the book.
Guessing from where Toko is and who he is associated with, you'd lower Pirates of Gunthak (sp?) faction and raise Firiona Vie faction when you kill him. Not sure what the ones in Akanon would be tho

I am a lvl 23 mage and i bouht mine at lvl 16 but when i got to lvl 20 i was really poor and i could only afford 5 spells so i had to sell mine,this quest is good to poor peple like me.

ok, if you can't get then in akanon, try freeport. freeport (from what i remember) had basicly all the basic spells (with the exception of droped spells, quest spells, crafted spells, and some cleric spells (which a magician isn't going too need). they also have all the caponits for making those spells =P

Grimoire is a book that is very usefull to mages after lvl 16. It is a container that you put multiple things in and combine to get one new thing (like brewing, cooking, etc). The main use for it is to research new spells instead of buying a scroll froma vendor for a high price you can trot around Norrath collecting certain items and combining them to get your spell. For example I made my Lvl 16 Water Pet spell by
1. putting sharkskin (found from killing shark located underwater in east freeport where you catch ship to faywder in grimoire
2. putting words or tyranny (bought from npc at wfreeport mage guild) in grimoire
3. putting lvl 12 water pet spell (bought from npc at wfreeport mage guild) in grimoire
Note that combining these in Grimoire requires you to be lvl 16 because you need the Research Skill and you notice that if you goto your skills you dont get research untill lvl 16.
You also do not need to research spells as you can buy them but it can be cheaper to research and once you get to higher lvls some spell have to be researched and cannot be boughten.

What does the grimoire do anyway any information would elp, I found one of these in felwithe, the merchant outside the magician guild has one for about 7pp.

just buy the grimoire in Ak'Anon for 11 pp or thereabouts.

Yeah, for this it is too much of a chore. But if there is faction for the quest then it might be a good one to do if you are passing through OOT. No faction mentioned though...
