Yes, giving the earring to a Male High Elf leads to the +2STR ring. Giving to a Female High Elf leads to the gossamer robes.

This quest is an easy way to get money. I buy the brass earrings from people for 2pp, because thats how much the earring would be worth if you turned it into the dwarven smith and sold it to a vendor. I do not, however give it to the smith, i give it to a high elf slave. The reward is a message to give to either niola in the the caster's guild in felwithe, or guard settine, who is usually found guarding the bridge in felwithe, or patrolling the secret passages. From them, I get a gossimer robe. The gossimer robe sells for 10-20pp(though I have, on occasion, gotten it to bid for up to 50), giving a very large profit margin.

If you talk to the dwarven smith in the slaver house he gives you a unfinished blade mold and then asks if you coudl retrive lost items for him, but then says nothing more about it. i tried all sorts of diffrent word combinations but he wouldent budge. any ideas?

my friend did the quest a few times, he got banded tunic from nildar, leather leggings from iludarae, and a gossimer robe from settine(Felwithe guard). They must've done some updates on this quest because you get some pretty cool stuff )

Each of the people detailed in the notes are relatives of the prisoners, that's obvious. The 2 notes that I got were for Merchant Nildar and Iludarae, who are both in Kelethin. I received a minute amount of xp as well as a piece of leather armour in return, a Tunic and Leggings respectively. It's a really nice low level quest for people who are still strutting around in Patchwork.

i started this and got a wood carving note that i gave to niola in felwithe and she gave me a gossimer robe and mentioned something about " he wouldnt..." then gave me a reward.

Searching Illia's Bestiary turned up a Guard Haldin in the Butcherblock Mountains. I don't know which guardhouse he's at though.

Ok some changes here, the note from the Elf now mentions "NILDAR" his brother and the Dwarf old rune mentions "HALDIN" a friend..... still no idea who these "guys" are.
